Long story short, we are seniors, both in 2 separate colleges after attending the same high school. We didn’t become friends till the very end of high school, went on a date that was fun but nothing more, didn’t really talk much after. I ended up actually befriending and eventually dating her best friend my freshmen year as we went to the same college. That relationship didn’t end well but me, my ex/ her best friend, and the girl in question are very civil and always talk when we see each other in public blah blah.

Fast forward to last week, I saw them both at our local bar for thanksgiving eve, and damn it kills me that I never went further with the original girl after seeing her again. We just said hi or whatever but I truly remember why I went on that date w her in the first place lol and really regret ever going after my ex since they are so close and girl codes and whatever.

Anyways, where I’m at rn is that I also got pretty drunk and ended up facetiming her at the bar after seeing her earlier in the night but she didn’t respond. So today I shot a risky text and playfully was like “why the hell did I FaceTime you”. She said yeah I have no idea, I’m confused as hell.

So now, I would like to kind of assess how to approach this. I do want to try again and start talking to her again, especially with winter break coming up alongside my inability to make friends w girls at college rn. I know there are barriers I shouldn’t cross in terms of my ex girlfriend, but my ex is in a long-term relationship now and the girl I want to text has never had a boyfriend I think. This girl is just so cute and smart I have no idea what to do.
