So I noticed that as long as I can keep the interaction in person I do well. Soon as we part ways and its to text or phone...that's where the problems begin. This can either be a girl I flirted with or slept with. Really for me no matter the girl and no matter how into this person I am in real life. Soon as I'm conversing using text/phone/IM/email I kill any semblance of attraction. For me I have a hard time emotionally investing in talking to a girl using these methods of communication. In person I'm enthusiastic fun, but my writing voice is anything but.

I understand the concept that for emotional people that the these methods of communications are seen as a tool to stay better connected with their loved ones. I just can't seem to get emotionally invested in it myself. I've tried as I understand the importance but really its not fun for me so I can't. So now I realized I'm going to have to resort to formula. Rules I try to abide by when using these tools in between face time. (I'm busy so have time to go out 2 times a week max)

  1. never use one word replies

  2. Use emoticons to suggest sarcasm but don't over do them

  3. This is a great way to build sexual tension prior to meetup

  4. If texting don't send a book (keep it somewhat to the point)

  5. try and relate things into an emotional topic rather than a blunt logical reply

  6. (not a problem for me if you read above) Do not keep texting back and forth with no end in sight, its important to actually meetup and move forward.

So in using these conventions have been successful in setting up dates to meetup. But here's a real life example of my problem...

SO I meet the girl on thursday...kiss close ( was too wasted to remember to make solid plans for later) I slept in the next day woke up to find she added me on facebook. I log on and stalk her for a bit. Find out we actually have a TON in common. In my prior interaction it was loud and so I minimally built comfort mostly attraction (basically really superficial convo) So I PM her on facebook about how much of a nerd she is. Conversation is going great. Invite her to this anime convention I'm djing at, she is thrilled as none of her friends want to go. Convention is this coming weekend. Ok so what is required to maintain the momentum from here til this saturday. I have 6 days to kill in this regard.
