why do you want her to set the time ? just tell her the date, when she agrees, you say "i'll pick you up/meet you at 08:00

iceskating is great, easy way to get kino happening and not cheesy at all

Talk to her about something to get her interest for a bit.

when the conversation comes to a natural close, like when a new subject needs to be brought up say "so what are you doing this weekend?/So are you busy this weekend?"

she'll give her answer, and you respond with "oh okay cool, i was thinking we should go ice skating or something" (assuming she's free)

If you guys click then she'll probably say sure. If you get rejected, try to take it gracefully like it doesn't affect you much, cause hey, you had to at least try. you win some you lose some.

Make sure to speak clearly and and have it come out naturally, not just blurted out.

Also, see if you can bring something up about ice skating in your conversation, although don't force it if you cant. Maybe reference it to the cold weather or something. This will gauge her interest in the subject.. if it seems like she'd yell "LOL GAY" to ice skating, then you may try something else. (personally i think ice skating is fun, and would be fun to do on a date, although there could be some others who do think it's cheesy) Make sure you stand by it though if you suggest it. if she questions it just challenge her like "what are you afraid to get showed up on the ice?" You know it's fun and you know it would be fun if you went, so no need to be shaky on it. ice skating can also produce a lot of laughter, which would definitely be good on a first date. hope this helps. good luck!

Ask her what her schedule is like next week. When she tells you, think for a moment (assuming you're doing it in person) and say, "Oh, I'm going ice skating that day at whatever fucking time you want, you should come with.
