no, the opposite would have been a total defeat. with agreeing and amplifying, you show at least that you are not bothered by it.
after you agree and amplify, you could back-pedal and add something like "i dont think it an important thing / bothersome / matters", something to that effect, more serious, but still cool in the sense that you dont care whichever way she looks at it.
thats the best you got.
"shit tests" that attack real "faults", need to be dealt this way imo. even other forms of shit tests should be dealt with this way. what else you wanna do? argue with a chick? if you do that and heavily emotionally invest into it, your frame is gonna be broken and you will give her words power, as if they meant some shit. they dont.
ultimately, if she does not like it and its a deal breaker for her, move on. you can not force things to happen, even handling shit tests properly does not guarantee that or change a person's taste.
It sort of felt like I was agreeing with her. Kind of an attraction killer
dont use a depressed or otherwise negative tone.. be playful, let the amplification be a comical exaggeration. laugh about it..
if you say "yeah im such a midget" with a face thats about to cry, it wont work. its all about the vibe and energy behind it as well...

You may be right but I feel like calling her lanky would put pressure on her to defend herself / bringing attention to her long legs makes it sexual again.
The issue is, even if I back peddled and said height didn’t matter, what is she supposed to respond? “It doesn’t really advance the conversation.
What are your thoughts on saying something like “I’m still growing!” or “taller than zack efron” (both with a smirk)

you can simply change the topic, no need to rest on your height...
if agree and amplify does not work, why not try with agree and do a comeback? something to the effect of - i may be small that way, but i am certainly not small another way ;) something like that, with sexual undertones (if you can afford it, that is :P)
you dont have to commit to amplification, the purpose to amplify is to make it comical and ridiculous, to make her laugh and then change the topic afaik
