Im wondering if she meant "im texting a friend right now and theyve never eaten cantaloupe " , or "im currently talking to a potential partner and while trying to get to know each other he said he doesnt like cantaloupe". Because when i say talking to someone i mean someone i could date and i dont know if she was saying "talking" in the same way i would.

Oh i see what you mean.. Every guy she talks to can be a potential partner but whether or not she sees him as a potential partner is unknown. If a girl said this to me i wouldn't lose my mind over it. Dont be phased when se says shes talking to other dudes. It could just be a sugar coated shit test so she can see your response.

I would take this as "this is odd. My friend just told me they've never had cantaloupe before. Isn't that unusual?" But also spaced a bit because she's texting back at the same time

Tbh thats what i think too. I just found the space between talking to someone and the word currently a little weird. She was on her phone for a sec but wasnt looking at it while she was telling me.
