This is somewhat related to another current post about how women want to be picked up. I went out to the bar last night and I got some numbers and a K-close, but that's not the point. At one point, I ran into a girl I used to date, but we decided to just be friends. We talked a bit and I flat out asked her if it's frustrating meeting a guy at a bar who's not a complete chump, but then he doesn't ever get her number from her or make a move, and she said yes. Right from the lady herself. She wants you to make a move.

A little bit later, I glanced over from the dance floor and saw her kissing a guy. I don't know how much interaction went on before the kiss, but apparently whatever he was doing worked. Right after he kissed her, he kind of turned around and danced away to the center of the floor, then gave her a wave to follow him. She waited about 30 seconds then tried to very nonchalantly dance her way towards where he was. He moved further away. She kept slowly shimmying her way over to him. Lesson: Girls can pursue just as much as any guy can.

I don't really know what happened next. I saw the guy who kissed her talking to some other guy. Then the kisser just disappeared. A couple minutes later, his friend was dancing with my ex and holding hands, etc... Lesson: Girls aren't as picky as you think. You might see them with another guy, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. You can go in there and game her and win her over, or she may just lose interest. in the other guy.

This was all stuff I'd kind of known intuitively before, but it was interesting seeing it from the third person perspective. I'd seen girls make it easy for me to pick them up and I'd have girls I thought I was locked in with move on or girls I thought were into someone else start hitting on me, but this was the first time I'd really observed it objectively.
