You see this all the time, especially in redpill circles, where a group of dudes will talk about how they are the chosen few above all other men, women, etc.

It's at the point where about 20% or more of men online think they are the 1% sigma, who is the main protagonist. They don't realize that, actually, the men at the top do not look or act like them, and that their types have scattered victories throughout history, but are often not remembered or honored. These dudes live weird, anti-social or cliquish brosocial lives, not understanding that the payoff is usually social isolation which makes them wholly unfit for the female companionship and family legacies they claim to crave.

They lead and protect hordes of similarly undesirable dudes online, not really understanding just how fed up women and decent men are. They think their shitty, hateful "pro male" garbage is some kind of antithesis to an imagined modern dystopia, when really, many men are hateful, anti-family, problem-causing weasels, and they are just a mouthpiece for them.

If they got the hierarchical society they claim to desire, most of them would be lying in a ditch, executed unceremoniously by the ruling powers that be.
