She's neither right nor left...she hates politics. She fought in a war back home, delivering essential medical supplies to wounded soldiers. She later convinced my father to flee the country when the government turned tyrannical. She's makes such great use of her risk-averse instincts.

She gave birth to 7 children, took care of them full-time while my dad worked. Never once used a daycare centre or nanny...in fact she laughed at the idea of other people raising her children. There is truly no greater empowerment and independence than that.

She is a huge critic of the gender pay gap - the fact that men do not get paid the privilige of seeing their children grow as much as women do. When a newborn baby cries for food and only she can resolve that, purely because of her sex. She's so grateful but finds it so unfair.

When we took our first steps and she had to explain it to my dad over the phone while she lives with the memory forever. She considers this a gravely unfair privilige of being a woman.

She despises rape culture...the one where most rapes are comitted by men who are known to the victims. Rape was rampant during the war, even by friendly forces, and she was an excellent judge of character to avoid it. She taught us to be the same. Sadly rapists will always exist but someone capable of such filth cannot hide their true colours. It takes a smart, switched on woman to spot this behaviour.

Oh how she hates the patriarchy - the one that consistently forces men to fight in wars while woman get a free pass. It's because of that she lost a father, 2 brothers, and many friends...and had to watch their daughters and wives live with the tragedy forever.

Her most hated aspect of society is male privilege - the fact that even today, it is much easier for men to enrol in the military and fight for their country. Women can't match up to the same physical standards as men so they consistently don't get picked for top military positions on the front line. If there's anything she hates about her life, it's that. She wishes more than anything that men and women were equal in this regard, alas they're not, and never will be due to biology. That is the only male privilige she knows.

She is the paragon of womanhood. Fearless yet smart, nurturing yet assertive, risk-averse yet brave. Women with blue hair who scream at men and want a free pass because of their ovaries? That's a comedy show to her. They are doing nothing but dragging women backwards into dependency and resentment.
