It's just infatuation chemicals. They go away and another person can then stimulate the same response. This is why every teenager thinks they invented "love" and OMG no "one else ever felt like I do for you". None of it true and sadly encouraged by our culture to actually believe in this state.
You can learn to disassociate the response from the stimulus. It is not real rather just a biological reaction that eventually ends just like other drug experiences do.
