As a man ages he for the most part can see the writing on the wall. He knows or has a very good idea what changes he must make to achieve his goals. He can be happy knowing that the power of his will can change his life and the world around him if he chooses.

Women on the other hand seem to double down on their stupidity. Being so irredeemably solipsistic they can only project their disgust at their own selves onto external factors. This is what makes them so insufferable to be around as they age.
