I'm not sure if I qualify as a MGTOW in any way, but I understand how much the system is rigged in a very socioeconomically Darwinistic way.
It seems disheartening that there is a sink or swim policy towards obtaining what has been romanticised as unconditional love, and there seems to be this aching feeling that if you're not Top Dog, you're bound to disappoint, or that you're bound to have a ceiling of some sort, unless you participate in the competition that is the socioeconomic justification of your worth as a man.
In fact, I happen to think that the worth of a human being has always been interpreted and measured on the merit of one's social and economic contributions to the species... this is worrying for those men who were disadvantaged in those fields by biological or environmental circumstances.
Some of us are depressed or suffer from learned helplessness, and that already disqualifies us, or at least gives off the illusion that it does, from operating at near maximum ability.
High value men exchange their value for sexual and emotional services from women, whose bodies (and general company) are objects of desire, and this means that it just might be worth the struggle from a hedonistic perspective, or at least being able to afford to have a person take care you physically and emotionally, so long as you can pay for it one way or another.
I'm no longer sure of the intention of this post, but I hope it sparks a decent discussion.

I take issue with the assumption that women will take care of a man either physically or emotionally. I'm not sure there is a way to make a woman look for another branch any faster than showing a crack or weakness in the one she's hanging on.
Edit: And even if you are meaning more the fix dinner, rub his back kind of care, you can forget that as well unless her livelihood depends on it, and it our society it doesn't any more.
