5 years ago my sister who is terrible at choosing men met an Australian on vacation in Miami.

At that time I guess he had about 90 grand in savings.

He worked for the navy then oil rigs way out in the ocean.

He has maybe 10 grand today.

It's generally smooth sailing the first 4 years. But there were horrific red flags on both their parts.

Once early in he picked her up by the hair while sitting at a bar.

She has a degree from a great university but she never has dreams or plans.

So she's in a forgien country , no job prospects and working on a graduate. Mind you ONLY now she got a real actual job. 4 years.

So that means he paid for everything and it was tense but he didn't need to touch his savings. made a lot.

Then the wedding and vacations.

He books a super expensive place, they argue about money. He argues with my family. But they go through with it all. She didn't want that place. He chose it. It was maybe the worst choice he ever made in his life to be honest. Even if she divorces him later , he could keep building to more , my sis isn't useless either, she help curb his drinking and his friends thanked her.

Whole wedding cost more than 100,000. He pays 70,000.

Then one day my dad says, "man every time I call your sister she's going on vacation somewhere"

Turns out every break he gets after his 2 months or whatever on he's taking her on vacation to a different country.

More fights over money.

Then one night, they fight, he gets drunk , wants sex, she's says no , he freaks and she called cops moved out.

Currently they are talking. He knows he has to act rational for any chance but my sister is researching divorce.

8 months long it lasted.
