I think one of the biggest tragedies is the incredible power that con-men types are able to amass today. I'm talking about people who are able to provide the illusion of ability. Corporate Sales, Harvard MBA types, CEOs etc.

If more people concentrated on improving all things about themselves, there would be less inequality, more understanding and less opportunity to be manipulated.

To paraphrase something read in the past: Do not seek Gurus, be a Guru unto yourself.

It's unsurprising that one of the greatest swordsman who ever lived thought there was nothing outside himself that could ever enable him to get better or stronger or quicker or smarter.

But that applies to him, not you or me. For %99.9999 percent of us, there are indeed things and people that can help us to be better or stronger or richer or quicker or smarter.

This is bad advice for almost everyone.
