I'm only 23 years old (almost 24), but I have met a fair amount of women in my life. To this day, I have not met a single female who I could ever consider a close friend. In other words, I have never met a woman who I know would help me out in the middle of an emergency, or truly cared for me.

I met a girl at work this year who seemed really cool. We started hanging out together in groups in our department, and she seemed like a good person. Someone who I could talk sports with, play sports with during breaks at work, etc. Well she asked me if I had a gf since she wanted to learn about me, and I said no. She later asked when my last relationship was, and I said "never." She proceeded to basically shame me for it. I then told her that I would love to meet someone someday, but I have high standards. If I never meet someone who meets my standards, then that's okay. I can certainly live without, and have done so for nearly 24 years. She said "Okay, whatever man. Keep lying to yourself." Haven't spoken to her since then.

It really does seem like AWALT. All women will shame you for being a virgin and think of you as less of a man for it. All women will whore themselves around at a young age and then attempt to "settle down" with guys like me who are financially and mentally stable. It's gotten to the point where it's so predictable. I've met a handful of women in my life who have given me good first impressions and lead me to believe that maybe they are different, and then things like this come up. It's just not worth it.
