From a mere efficiency value, we can all agree that having women working is better. It is also undeniable that many if not most of them are capable of higher-thinking works, from the healthcare sector to law etc.

That is just, unfortunately, a positive side effect in what is otherwise a societal threat. A human community is more than its gdp: to remain prosperous it also requires societal harmony, and a growth path. Women rights always appear when society is focusing more on the rights of the individual compared to the needs of the comunity itself. A society actually focused on its own future and prosperity tends to prioritize family formation and strict sexual mores, so that its population is stable or growing and with no dangerous causes of friction inside. That nice bonus appearing when your female citizens starts working and consuming seems nice, until you notice that your population is dropping and that the change from a family-focused approach to an individualistic one is greatly reducing the social cohesion (as in, people are less and less willing to make a sacrifice for their community and focusing more on what they can get out of the system by gaming it). In the long term, the comunity weakens and it is eventually overtaken by outside forces - unless, in a time of crisys, it goes back to what proved to work in the past.

If you want a real life example.... try to imagine a ww2 scenario right now. Try to imagine current generation being drafted in mass numbers. We had scores volunteers at the time of pearl harbour. How many, today, would be willing to die under either president Trump or president Hillary? People don't truly believe in the government anymore. So long as our major problem is the economy, we roll onward. At the first real test.... well, we are going to fail, imho. Big time.
