This came up for me the other day when I was talking to a fairly snooty male feminist who carries on like he is superior when speaking to the likes of us and when he is speaking to or on behalf of feminist women you can see he is kowtowing and seeking approval with his oh so perfect opinions . The one good man .

I characterized him like this in what I had a good sense was going to be the last post to him , because he would run and tell on me ...

  • Blames patriarchy for the lack of fathers rights, defends organized feminism's obstruction of reform of father rights law .

  • Blames patriarchy for men not being seen as victims , attacks people who speak out against feminism misrepresenting abuse as gendered and excluding men as victims through victim support, deluth and other theory.

  • Claims its toxic masculinity that results in mocking male victims, mocks advocates tying to get male victims out of the closet .

  • Thinks feminist agitation is a normal way for social movements to work, thinks mens movements shouldn't agitate .

  • Supports removal of his own due process rights, attacks and mocks people who defend his due process rights .

Awesome dude . (because he uses the term dude to condescend) .

Good luck with your "movement", its a shame you make movement within it impossible .

There was no response and I was banned from the sub .

Anyhow , I thought about what I said about agitating and realized how clever it is that people that know agitation is the only thing that works for social movements have stigmatized the men's movement's agitation (I'm not saying he is clever or realizes this , he has just been drinking the correct kool aid) - I'm talking about the narrative that has been built by others .

So when male feminists try to "do it properly" (because we don't , and this guy started a now dead sub to do that) they start behaving in the way he has been taught a mens movement should operate , zero agitation - no challenges to any status quo and predictably it fails to gain any momentum .

I don't really have a question or point , this is just an aspect I hadn't thought about or articulated before .

edit - actually all the contradictions they are taught to repeat and believe are very clever .
