Please Seek The Truth About Male Victims of Domestic Violence, and Defend the Honesty and Integrity of Australian Scientific Research

Jasmin Newman recently wrote of the experiences of "Edward", a male victim of domestic violence facing illegal gender discrimination by NSW authorities. In her article, she discusses biased research that harms male victims and supports illegal discrimination against them:

This year the national Personal Safety Survey conducted every 5 years will be done again and it will be heavily biased to women’s experiences as it always is. It will have around 20% of all surveyed as men and then the lobby groups will champion that data on men is therefore ‘unreliable’. Their most used tactic from the PSS is to cite so called evidence in comparative numbers that ‘x’ amount of women experience domestic violence but only ‘y’ amount of men do. This intentional act to further marginalise men is nothing less than despicable. If you conduct a biased survey you will get a biased result.

As background information, I've already contacted the authorities about the reasons their actions discriminating against male victims and their children appear to be both illegal and immoral, and the necessity of ending their detestable practices of using different weights and measures for bisexual and straight male victims than for female victims or homosexual male victims. Those weights and measures represent a misandrist "woman good, man bad" worldview, and effectively deny the existence of heterosexual and bisexual male victims:

Please note this research appeared to have predetermined conclusions regarding the gendered nature of domestic violence, conclusions inconsistent with other studies, and it appears that the "study" of the media may have selected or conformed the facts meet the predetermined conclusions that the "federally funded national body established to address preventing violence against women and their children" wanted to generate, including minimizing or denying the existence of domestic violence against men and their children.

I urge you therefore to investigate whether the National Personal Safety Survey is intentionally designed to marginalize male victims of violence, including male victims of domestic violence and their children.

I urge you to also review other research, including the media study by "Our Watch" to determine if those studies were also conducted with honesty and integrity, and to determine whether they were designed or executed in a manner which attempted to minimize or deny the existence of male victims of domestic violence and their children.
