"Therapy" in this case has a double meaning which just means brainwashing. I hate to be so black and white, but its true. If you dont agree with what I say or my values you have some mental health problem that needs to be rectified. Like therapy is some hard science that has found that not only are morals objective and Im the living embodiment of them. You just have a mental deficency in your brain that doesnt allow you to see it.

I hate the manipulative, indirect but blatantly poisonous undertone of this statement - and so many women communicate this way.

Men don’t “go to war” the same way one chooses to attend therapy. Lots of guys join the military because there are literally zero opportunities in their home town, and the military recruitment ads are really good for suggesting a sense of purpose and belonging if you join. She acts like we “go to war” as a macho defense mechanism instead of the reality where it’s the best viable career choice when you’re otherwise disposable and unwanted.

And lots of people don’t go to therapy because you’d 1) have to have health insurance that covers it plus money for the $30 co-pay you have despite paying hundreds a month already in premiums and 2) because we’re so busy working to death that we can’t regularly get time off work during business hours to go talk to somebody.

It’s almost as if… you have to be a good bit privileged to attend therapy regularly.
