Was writing this post in a comment, and realized it was more of a personal development/check-in story, so wanted to post it.

Since implementing TRP into my life, things have begun to change. There's too many concepts to list for what I've learned (just keep reading the side bar and links, osmosis'll occur), but one simple idea that planted the seed was something like this: "You're either her boyfriend, or girlfriend. If you're not fucking her, you're her girlfriend. Stop it, you little bitch."

From applying this strategy, lost all of the girls who were my friends almost instantly, as well as a few guys (not for sexual reasons lol, just analyzing the benefit I provide compared to the long term and time invested outcomes). For the following month or so, was pretty alone...extremely alone. It was one of the first times I felt a true sadness (psychopath territory, I know). Taught me about what depression really was, as well as what I value in my friendships.

But now, the being alone is nice, provides me the opportunity to have the internal conversations and be introspective, which comes across in social interactions as confidence (I see it as just a better understanding of oneself, knowing what you like, don't like, and being open to learning from other people's perspective). The few friends I still have respect me and look up to me for advice/perspective (and vice versa).

My relationship with my parents (particularly my mom, feminist pioneer during the computer revolution) before was very bitter. I had the mentality of blaming their helicopter/hovering as being too involved and not allowing me to be independent (in college, graduating this quarter).
Now, it's different. Very different. I jokingly laugh when she uses emotional manipulation, I stand my ground for what I believe (although I still don't touch the extreme feminine arguements...would be counterproductive and unnecessary to try to change her opinion), and work on things that I enjoy, even if she is against it. Because of this new 'strength' in my life, she's backed off, opens up to me about her personal life with her friends (which has never happened), and asks for my opinion on important decisions. I feel like a god damn grownup for once.

For some reason, the mentality of this ad resonates with my internal shift of TRP, as unrelated as it seems. Might be that I see both sides of the mirror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb48Z2NHHzY

Lots more to write, but I'll leave it there. Just read the blogs and see if makes sense to you. Don't be dissuaded by what seems extreme, over time it starts to make more sense, especially when you apply it to your own life.

Always learning, keep moving forward men.
