Before I begin discussing the following observations, I want to point out that I do not in any way shape or form, support violence in a relationship, and anyone (men or women) who engages in violence (physical, verbal or any other kind) should be punished to the full extent of the law.

I've observed, for quite some time, that the majority of women that are in a abusive relationship don't leave the abuser either out of fear, dependence and/or "love". The abuse can last for many years and it stops either because she dies or she realizes that her life is in danger and must do something about it. However, there's a flip-side to that coin. Many women who are in a normal and stable relationship (usually with a beta) will end the relationship out of boredom, "lack of love" (attraction), or any other excuse she can "rationalize".

I've known women who have ended relationships with (beta) men and pursuit relationships with men that eventually abuse them physically and/or verbally. Some of them, I know for a fact, that had self-esteem issues, "daddy issues", or any psychological problem; but they aren't the majority. Most of them come from good, stable families.

What does /r/TheRedPill think? Is hypergamy that irrational? Do women interpret abusive behavior as alpha? What the fuck is going on?
