A lot of people wonder what kind of people end up looking to the red pill for advice. It seems that everyone assumes that the people who end up at the red pill are either very young, naive, immature, and extremely awkward in social situations or they are old and bitter from a series of divorces that did not end well for them. While I can't tell you exactly what a typical TRP member looks like, I can tell you my story. I am a 26 years old, confident, attending a Canadian University (And very thankful for that I didn't attend a US university after learning about the tribunals that take place there). I am close to finishing a degree in computer sciences that should net me a very respectable salary. I spent most of my life at around 200 lbs and 5'7 with I think around 20% bf. It could have been as low as 15, but I really don't remember and I have only had it checked once.
I had a lot of troubles in high school with being assertive, being picked on and other such things. It was a real problem for me but when I went to university I made myself get more involved, outgoing and assertive. Relationships had always been something that was extremely important to me for some reason. Making others feel good had the effect of making me feel even better about myself. I was, and somewhat still am, the kind of guy who would drop everything to lend a hand if someone needed it. This did not apply exclusively to women either, however I did often catch myself trying to find ways I could be extra nice to women, after all I didn't really know any other way of getting women to notice me. I would ask friends why I never got any dates and they would tell me its because I'm not asking enough women out on dates. I was skeptical of this but in the end I decided to try it, for most of a year I would attempt to ask out a new girl every 2 weeks, and many times I would ask one out once a week. This got me squarely no where. Women would either not answer my texts and calls, or just not be interested. My friends would tell me that maybe I was asking out the wrong women, that my standards were too high. I stopped asking out women unless they looked like they had a similar BF% to my own. They were still really cute, but they had some curves on them. I had no luck, mostly I found that these women were more interested in casual relationships with much more attractive men then they were interested in a more stable relationship with me. My ever wise friends still had more advice for me, try spending more time developing a friendship rather then asking women out right away. Now to put this in perspective, almost all of the women I had asked out still wanted to be friends with me. I have a LOT of female friends who think I am the greatest guy ever, for some other women. So I was skeptically as one may imagine. I would spend 3 to 4 months developing a non romantic relationship with women before I would ask them out. When I got turned down by these women it really really hurt. I was seriously emotionally invested in these women but they thought we could never be anything but friends. All of these close friendships I developed with women helped me along to finding the red pill as well.
These same women who I had developed friends with would tell me all about their flings with random guys, their terrible relationship stories with total jerks who didn’t care about them. And would tell me how hard it was to find a good boyfriend. Despite feeling like this was a punch in the face I took it in stride, comforted them, gave them as much advice I could. One girl, the day after turning me down was asking me about this hot guy she just met a few hours ago. I was chatting with another mutual friend later that night when she sent a text to the friend about how she was having oral sex with him in her dorm. The last straw was when my best female friend, a woman who used to coordinate the university peer support group, and who was part of the university committee on how to remind girls that any man could be a rapist, was telling me about this guy who she met that was extremely jealous, insulting, and turned everything back on her. I told her to stay the hell away cause hes clearly abusive. She told me that I couldn't know that because I hadn't met him and he was really nice (Wtf?). The conversation ended with her mad at me for even suggesting it and us not talking for awhile. That's the moment when it hit me that the TRP were right all along. If my ultra feminist friend, would rather be with this jerk who's game was good, even with my white knighting, then with one of her best friends of 5 years, then there really was no hope.
There is no hope. If you want to know what it takes to open up your eyes to TRP its the second when you fully realize that there is no hope. I could go on and on, but this post is already long enough that most people wont read it. If you want to ask me any questions feel free to ask. This is the begining of my TRP story, and I am for the first time in my life excited about the future
