TL;DR Got complimented for being confident and told I wasn't an asshole during a date with a girl I picked up on Halloween. She also really liked that I told her we were going on a date and what we were doing rather than asking.

Met a girl during Halloween. Told her after I finish my drink I'm going to kiss her. She walks around with her friend while I bullshit with my bro who was talking to her friend and finish my drink. We walk outside (pretty intoxicated) and I run into her. I pull her aside and tell her that I wasn't kidding earlier when I told her I would kiss you and she backs up a little. Easy, I turn to her friend and say "Excuse me, I told her that I would kiss her after I finished my drink... and as you see I no longer have my drink." She gives her friend the go ahead (find out she's really shy) and we kiss a little. I back up and start talking more. Don't need to get a hard on in a skin tight suit in the street. Tell her to put her number in my phone and we leave. Sunday we went on a date (I'm new in town so she picked the spot). While conversating I bring up that I got told my facial expressions and how I talk to people sometimes comes off as fuck you (expressed to me by my supervisor), she says "I don't get the asshole vibe, I get the confident vibe, but not cocky... just confident." Probably one of the best compliments I've gotten. I recently got dumped for being "too nice". I brought that up during the date and she said "Yeah, there definitely is a thing as being too nice." I replied with "Yea, of course. On the male side of things there is certainly a difference between being too nice and a pushover and being yourself and confident without being a dick." (Not quite sure how to bring up the Alpha-ness without saying it) All in all we made out after the date and planned for another during a pub run.

This is pretty cool for me seeing as the only people I know are those I work with and now 2 girls. Not sure why, but being complimented on the confidence set really well with me... probably because I was slumming in my Beta ways in the past relationship. She also liked when I told her we were going on a date and what we were doing. Be the man, make decisions and the women will follow.
