Religion is the biggest blue pill cope there is.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
What I really love about the concept of God is that pretty much every single religion is imagining a benevolent God, a father figure who'll reward you if you simply accept his authority.
In all honesty, assuming there is a God, he doesn't seem to give too many fractions of a shit. He's like the ultimate absentee dad.
Our fathers were our models for God. If our fathers bailed what does that tell you about God? You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. He never wanted you, in all probability he hates you.

Probably because God has entrusted us with free-will on our level (not on God's level, he is omniscient and knows all our future actions, and as everything comes from him, our actions were decided by him) so that we will bear the burden of our acts after our death.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
But if God is omnipotent and he knows everything we'll do before we do it, why would he bother giving us free will?
If he knows that some mofo who's born this very second will kill someone in x years and be damned to an eternity in hell, then the game is rigged, and free will doesn't exist.
Maybe we're just God's version of a reality TV show?
[–]Jin-ewgf[S] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The fact that God is omnipitent and omniscient shouldn't render hsi actions worthless. It doesn't mean that because God knows everything whatever intelligent being he creates later will live an unjust life because his actions are already decided. Thinking this way reduces the course of God's actions, which cannot be. All that we need is for us to behave according to free will, and believe that God, although he has omniscience, didn't create us unjustly, because that too would contradict his eternal Justice.

We have established that people who refuse the redpill are in denial, so it won't be about them.
Overwhelming majority of the people have no idea RP exists. You can't reject the knowledge you have no idea about.
Well the answer lies in that our rational capabilities have to serve deeper and more noble knowledge.
The answer is" we are RP men, we do whatever the fuck we want or desire, neither RP nor "being a man" doesn't have a requirement to strive for "noble goals".
our rational capabilities
Let's start with the simple notion that "god as an idea" is not rational. Moreover, the Christian god (not to mention Allah) is, according to Bible is not "noble" at all. More like a attention and power hungry beast that doesn't tolerate anything other than his way. Your "god" doesn't want humans to pursue "higher noble goals". He wants you to worship him and fear him. That is not rationality.
because it is the ultimate answer to the ultimate human questions of why and how,
Let me give you an example. For thousands of years people came up with more and more religious mythologies of "how and why god created universe and humans". The more we move towards modern times, the more science removes the need for irrational explanations like "god" from our understanding of the universe and the place we have in it. You and your "god" are basically left with resorting to asking the ultimate question of "how and why" b/c rest of the questions have been already answered by science. And as the trend continues, you probably will have to find something else for god to have a role in it.
while focusing on more important things like Knowledge, self-examination, Truth, Justice and etc.. have transcended to their original human state.
The original human state was pretty much half-civilized brutes that took what they wanted by force and didn't concern themselves with anything else that food, shelter and access to females. That was our "original natural state".
New-Agey mumbo jumbo that offers nothing but the meaningless "feel good about yourself" mumbo jumbo itself. Plus borderline BP/MGTOW moralizing of how the "pursuit of women" is not "enlightened original human nature".

He interprets God through his Asian Collectivist culture. This is an argument between western individualism and Asian Collectivism. No one is going to convince anyone of anything here. Trust me.

I'm not even asian, I study physics in a western country. Although I understand your concern, my way of thinking is beyond that of many westerners who are mostly concerned about the flesh and related things.

Cool well the least you can do is tell us which Culture we're arguing with. I guessed Jin because thats a Korean name.
[–]Jin-ewgf[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Culture really doesn't matter, I'm more concerned about logical reasoning and arguments. Jin comes from the game Tekken.

Yea but where do you come from?
[–]Jin-ewgf[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is irrelevant, but in case, I was born and raised in the north pole.

Absolute gibberish.
How exactly does one "transcend their beastly nature"?
What is " Serve deeper and more noble knowledge"?
AHHHH... you hid the Jesus freak until the end.
There is no GOD, moron.
You've been brainwashed. Which is the opposite of redpill.
So you are, by your own definition, a non-redpill, real beast.
A recent post - "if everybody behaved the way..." also spouted inane platitudes about how he was going to be so much more moral than everybody else by getting married and raising a good Christian family.
Here's part of my reply...
"Society" is a group of rules governing cohabitating in proximity with others. Great ideas... Don't kill each other, don't fuck your neighbors wife, etc. etc. They sound fair, logical, reasonable. The problem with this is there is no way to control those who are clever enough to operate outside those rules for power and profit. These "cheaters" rise to the top. Guess who now makes the rules? These guys. Clever cheaters. Do you think the rules of society are truly now being created for the good of the people or for control/docility/furthering the top 1%?
Churches have done this since the beginning. Create a magic book, a belief structure, a pretend reward for being "good" (and they get to define what "good" is), a hero/martyr, a pretend but horrible place for "bad" people, and make people pay to come to their "lectures", which further these beliefs, which include ostracizing/killing/shunning those who don't yet belong to the club, so you'd better be in church every Sunday morning with all your friends and neighbors throwing cash on the plate. And for the bonus, refute any pesky logical concerns with the meaningless and inarguable yet powerful sounding chant, "You just got to have Faith."
Genius business model.
Gain power and money by making people believe that something good or bad will happen to them after they're dead all based on how well you follow rules you yourself get to make up on the fly.
Obviously its worked very well on you.
Keep your head down, keep producing for the good of the people, be nice, pay your taxes, don't aspire to rise above your station, make more kids and indoctrinate them in the same lies and bullshit we've been shoving down your throat for millenia. For "SOCIETY".
Meanwhile the preacher has a billion dollar mansion and a private jet. Clever cheater.
GTFO with this garbage.
Rule Zero, asshole.
Just peeked at your post history. Of course you're an anime loving Islam nofapper.

Look dude I think by his verbage and time of posting it's pretty obvious that we are dealing with some kind of Asian here. There's definitely a cultural barrier of some sort and he's definitely operating under a non western belief system.
Since you skimmed his post history you too saw that he used the phrase student flat. Americans don't use that phrasing so he probably learned English from Englishmen or Australians.
This brings me to my next point. Your using a western individualist perspective to argue with an Asian collectivist. It's not gonna fucking work.
Also Koreans are incredibly stubborn people. American Cowboying doesn't work on them.
Nice read. The sentence structure is off distinctively.
I agree this is an ESL child with a neurocognitive disorder.
I know at a fundamental level it's impossible to dredge up a consciousness from such a hadopelagic depth of conviction.
The sheer insolence is what triggered me, though. I'm an Athiest.
Yet I believe in live and let live. I would never jump on the Here God is general website and post my ," Every religion is a cult that has fear and oppression as it's fundamental raison d'être!"
Why? I'm not going to waste my time flouting my grandiose idealism to the wrong audience.
How dare this "evolved human" jump on my misogynist site with his sanctimonious pontification.
Fuck him.

A lot of arguments on the Red Pill especially at this time of day are between westerners and non westerners. I wish more people would read into sentence structure like we did before trying to push individualism on a person who's never seen it or heard it.

English is not my first language. I am not surprised an atheist was so triggered by someone who calls for search of truth instead of lowly things. Get back smoking weed and pay attention every second how girls look at you.
Not going any further. Both for the reason above, and the fact that as soon a mod wakes up this post will be obliterated for violating both rule zero and the no moralizing rule.
Keep on "epitomizing your rationality."
[–]Jin-ewgf[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
So the insulting says that I both moralize and violate rules? Seems kinda ironic, you must be really weak to let your emotions get hold of you so easily.
[–]Jin-ewgf[S] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Again, God is a general answer to this. The point is not even God in my post, it is about becoming 1% monk and seek for Truth, which is way beyond the whole point of this thread.
Also don't bring that science argument, science is not concerned at all about God and stuff. I study physics, and if that's what you were thinkig about, the whole point is about understanding nature around us using rational standards, the strongest of which is maths but I digress here. It is not science which is disproving the (again, general) idea of God, it is only the atheist propagandas from youtube. God lies in the philosophical sphere.
So the whole point of this is to focus on these things and not on lowly animal things such as women, which ought to become, for the true alpha you're aiming for, optional.
Also by original I mean our true inner abilities which by far distinguish us from other animals. Although I do believe that God intentionnally created us wih intellect thus superior to other animals, that's not the only reason. It is an undeniable fact that humans are given unique rational abilities, and the only aim here is to use these abilities in order to answer great questions that do not pertain to the flesh.

Yeah man, you lost me at the mere mention of god. I was making every attempt to understand the BS. But when I read god, it all went to the toilet.
