What is a "cool" guy?

Never let a woman's opinion effect you. She's either lying, trying to get attention, or flat out wrong. (They're all crazy.)

My personal opinion is that a female's default method of interacting with a male is to find his weakness, and exploit it for her own gain, whether it be financial, or for pleasure/drama. They constantly search for ways to get a one-up on you, because they want control over you. Ultimately, they're testing to see if you're going to be dumb enough to fall for their shit and kiss their ass just cause they're giving you attention. If she can convince you that you're a cool guy, then she wins because the only reason you believe you're cool is because SHE thinks so. And believe me, she'll stop thinking it the moment you show gratitude. That's the game in a nutshell.

"Cool guy" could be the new way of saying "nice guy" now. It's hard to say, but I guarantee it is a shit test.

If she really thinks you're cool, that's fine, keep being yourself and don't let that opinion effect you. A real cool guy isn't going to give a shit what anyone thinks of them anyway. Next time she mentions you are cool, say, "Yeah, I know." If she gets mad, you win. If she responds positively, proceed to flirt and escalate.

If you're really concerned with being cool, know that it's not for anyone else to decide but you. You are the one who has to decide what is cool and what isn't, because you are an individual with thoughts and opinions of your own. Live by your own definition of cool, and forget what everyone else has to say about it.

You said she stressed the word, which in my mind means a guy who doesn't show much emotion, is quite laidback and never really gets hotheaded. Usually when a girl says you're a cool guy it just means you're a likeable guy. Easy to talk to. However in this case, a case which has made you come and ask strangers on the internet about what she meant by it, I think it's safe to assume there was a little bit more behind it.

People have different exact definitions of the word, but usually it can always be used for a certain type of person. I don't really like dismissing questions, but I think you might be reading too much into it if it's making you wonder. It's a positive word, even if she did mean something more behind it. Take it and move along.
