Newish to TRP.

I've been seeing this girl after my break with my LTR previously. ( Swallowed TRP and saw what was really going on.) Anyway, I've been casually seeing this girl, so which she stated she liked it being casual. It doesn't phase me because I am doing the same. Fast forward to last night. We get to talking about the "relationship" and she states that it's easier for her to refer to people about me as her friend and if another guy asked her out she would probably say yes. I fired back that I just refer to her as "this girl I've been seeing" or "girl 1. " This catches her off guard and asks starts asking how many girls I am seeing. I dodge this with a simple they come and go. She did asks about "girl 2." My response was I don't call her "girl 2" but "girl A" because I do not like favoritism. She immediately goes in for a kiss. Did I do alright with this? Where could I improve in the future?
