Greetings, wherever you may be.

I've come leaps and bounds in personal development since discovering TRP, but there's one caveat that I'm yet to solve, which is how to truly express the intensity of my emotions.

Whenever I feel a sensation of rage or anything radical, it's been an intuitive reaction since I was young to bottle it up (my dad was no different to a tyrant, so I grew up without any fondness of him in my heart). This has significantly affected my intergender relationships (my plates get frustrated when they sense I'm enraged but try and maintain it) as well as friendships (people believe I'm too passive aggressive when that's not true - I confront people verbally on issues bothering me). The one problem I have is how to make my anger known to emphasise any grievances. Is 'bottling it up' the right thing?

TL/DR Can't show emotions properly when need be, especially when in times of conflict.

Thanks. For relevant info, I'm a 20 y/o student who lifts, studies attentively and has a good social life.
