It always seems like the type of girls that attracted to me and seek me out are the depressed and crazy ones... is there any reason why or a way to change this?

Also the current girl I'm with always threatens to end it, usually jokingly and I just say something along the lines of "ok have fun" or bye, is this the right way to handle it? She seems to get sad whenever I say this.
