Hello!

I wanted to get some additional takes on some hobby spending-

I am 40m dating a 39f, about 7 months. We are both avid outdoors folks (both no kids, she has 2 dogs & divorced) and do a lot of backpacking, hiking etc. Previously she was Heavy into Horses (competing etc) and SCUBA. Since dating me, she has geared up for backpacking, with quality stuff, which is not cheap.

Second, she decided to get a motorcycle, vintage honda. All awesome stuff (part of the reason i am dating her), BUT, all this runs into 7k range within 7 months of knowing me. I started to think- whoa that is a lot of money to me! She is active duty air force and retiring soon with a 25k pension for life (healthcare too- makes me rethink my choices). She can do what she wants with her money, but, whoa. She doesn't complain too much about money, and she pays her fair share. So no complaints here- I just find the whole thing odd. I have a good job with student loans, but by no means hurting for money.

Just wanted to get some other perspectives.

TLDR: 39F SO spend a ton of money on toys (hobby gear) since dating me 7m. How to interpret?
