Sounds reasonable, but you have to make mistakes along the way - perfect results are not a realistic thing. In fact, the people most delusional (see the Dunning-Kruger effect) will have an easier time since they won't be critical of themselves. Your best bet is either stop worrying about it, or inflate your own ego and stop being overly self conscious.

It’s part of un-plugging. You see not only women, but the entire world differently. Don’t beat yourself up over thinking differently from where you stood on certain subjects in the past. Go out there, make mistakes, learn and rinse/repeat. Gain a broader perspective on how things work now that you have this newfound knowledge.
