not in the sense of "asked her for her number wat do?"

I followed this girl on instagram, she followed back so a few days after I added her snapchat as it was in her profile bio.

I started snapping her last night just banter back and fourth, she was asking me questions about life just creating conversation, she was looking really good in her pics lying in her bed clearly trying to invoke a response "you look so cute" or something. I didn't compliment her or anything, it was getting really late and she said she was gonna have to sleep anyway.

I finished up with something like "have a nice night, you should shoot me a message tomorrow. Goodnight xx"

she replied with someone referring to earlier in the convo and followed with "yeah you should too xx"

In which case I ended it at that, finished reading and went to sleep.

The thing is how did I do first off?

Also how do I escalate, I don't plan on leading sexual undertones or anything, I leave that for in person. Most girls (my age, 20) dont want to meet until they know someone a little bit which is understandable if they've never met you before. I did ask her if she was out this weekend (drinking) to which she said possibly and asked if I was, I'm unsure so I said I might do.

I'm analysing this because I want to learn how I can improve my texting game, not because I'm in love with her as a lot of people will say
