It was a study I saw once but can't find, I think it was in a thread that had the classic blog post about the doctor who couldn't get girls and was a nice guy, and was treating a serial domestic abuser called henry I think who was always able to get girls.

I think it had a tag line of something like:

"when I say I'm a nice guy, I just mean that I'm nicer than henry"
