So today I made my second approach. This was with a girl at work whom I have spoken to a few times before but not much more than colleague chat.

We just started having a chat about lockdown etc, when lockdown started she mentioned her parents lived in one of the originally worst affected countries. I made sure to bring this into the conversation so she knows I listen to her and remember even weeks later.

I casually asked what she had done at the weekend and she explained that she had been working and she finishes up today for 7 days off. I asked if she had any plans and she was considering going away to the countryside for a hike or camping. I personally love going camping and getting out of the city to be in nature so found this easy to talk about. I asked if she ever did this around our city, she said she did and I suggested that we could go together sometime during her week off. She agreed and I asked what the best way to organise it was, she said I could have her number so we exchanged. She said she would text me and let me know her plans.

The conversation carried on for another 5 minutes or so before she had to go do something.

So there you go my second approach and my first number, I like this shit.
