Lots of different sources on this study but here’s one that I ran across.

The analysis found that since 2008, the percentage of men under 30 reporting no sex had nearly tripled to 28 percent, compared with an 8 percent increase reported by women in the same age bracket. It found that 18 percent of women between the ages of 18 and 30 reported no sex in the past year.

Given that obesity in this age group is probably around about 20-25% given the trends in the US, I’m not exactly surprised by these statistics. That means the vast majority normal and overweight men and women in this age group are still having sex if they try.

The temptation is still real even though the 80/20 rule is parroted a lot. Not just the top 20% of men are having all of the sex.

Though there is a loud vocal Incel/MGTOW movement online, it’s not really showing up in the statistics just yet. If we see the men stats continue to jump toward 40% while obesity and other rates stay the same or drop, I’d say there’s a case for it showing up.

Edit: forgot to add in the share of adults living with parents or grandparents.

Probably isn’t surprising this trend is increasing on both sides. The downward curve in the 1940s to 1960s is decline in multi-generational housing. The latter upward trend seems to be on the flipside of that: financial, laziness, or other factors.
