The purpose of our life is outlined in the Lord’s Prayer.

9b Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
   on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
   as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
   but deliver us from evil.

Let’s examine this, line by line.

“Our Father in heaven” — Experiencing Sonship

“hallowed be Your name” — Exaltation of God’s Name

“Your kingdom come” — Expansion of God’s Kingdom

“Your will be done” — Execution of God’s Will

“on earth as it is in heaven” — Exhibition of God’s Power

“Give us this day our daily bread” — Receiving God’s daily provision.

“forgive us our debts” — Preserving the solvency of our domain.

“as we also have forgiven our debtors.” — Maintaining the integrity of our souls.

“And lead us not into temptation” — Avoiding greed, lust, poverty mentality, etc.

“but deliver us from evil.” — Staying free from the snares of sin and the Devil.

Our every action must assert an Amen to these. Otherwise our life is lacking purpose.

All in all, we should live our lives in exultation of God’s Glory.

Experiencing God, Expansion, Execution, Exhibition, Provision, Preservation, Integrity, Righteousness, Spiritual Freedom, and Exaltation of His Glory.

We are not accustomed to think of the Lord’s prayer like this, but yes — it should end in HIS GLORY!
