Intro

In light of Baumeister’s review of The Power of the Imagination, let’s explore this concept within the context of intersexual relationships (or the fantasies thereof).

Men’s Erotic Fantasy

Most men are in the regular habit of imagining having sex with a hot woman. Baumeister’s paper suggests this would affect their actual behavior around women, their success in bedding one, and their performance in the bedroom.

So if Baumeister’s thesis on Mental Practice is true, then why aren’t all these single men already shacked up with more juicy fruit than they can eat?

Women’s Chick P0rn and Disney Fantasy

Most Western women imagine that they’ll one day meet a 6-6-6-6 Studs MacKenzie with chiseled abs, an iron jaw, and thick wavy hair; one who will overlook all the qualities that have kept her single — her mid SMV, the entitled braggadociousness, the nose ring, the lack of respect and other social skills necessary to get along with a man, and all their past sexual indiscretions; one who will supply an insta-commitment, complete with a large house with a deluxe kitchen and all the trimmings, and also be willing to die for the honor of being her personal ATM, butler, and therapist.

If Baumeister’s thesis on Mental Practice is true, then why aren’t all these single women married already?

Delusions Detract from the Awareness of Reality

Even a moron knows that men’s erotic fantasies don’t lead to increased Alpha traits and masculine performance, but rather more of the opposite, as I warned men about in ASMR Virtual Intimacy.

And we are now seeing how every chick’s self-centered dreams of sexual pornucopia don’t add up to marriage lite.

So are these sexual fantasies an aberration that does not coincide with the evidence Baumeister cited?  Or does it result in a decrease in Game efficacy, like the group who visualized failure in Evidence F — Golfing, or the decreased appetite for candy in Evidence G — Eating Habits?

Or maybe it is simply because these fantasies have nothing to do with reality, and are, in all truth, merely self-delusions that remove one from the conscious awareness of how to increase performance and improve one’s self?

Fantasy is NOT Mental Practice

As Baumeister pointed out, imagining one’s self performing specific actions that are known to produce the desired results is much more effective than merely imagining the outcome.

But…

Men’s Erotic Fantasy focuses exclusively on feelings of lust for the low WHR female body and the physical mechanics of coitus, which is a highly idealized outcome soaked in pleasure, NOT a practical process involving conscious discipline.

Women’s pornific domination/r@pe fantasy focuses exclusively on the top 0.01% of men — men whom they could never resist anyway, even if they thought they should; also a highly idealized outcome bathed in pleasure, NOT a practical process involving conscientious moral agency.

I might be wrong in some instances, but pouring one’s self over p0rn (men) or literotica (women) never goes through any of the Game tactics or disciplines of self-improvement that might lead to either sex or marriage, respectively (e.g., amused mastery, building a domain of influence, centering one’s internal locus of control, detachment, Frame, managing desire, self-discipline, vigilance, etc. for men; and chastity, Honeycraft, humility, modesty, respect for male authority, self-control, etc. for women), but the Mental Practice of these disciplines is exactly what would be most helpful, according to Baumeister’s theory.

What to Imagine?

Obtaining the desired effects of mental simulation depend on the person focusing on what he or she will do to carry out the action, rather than on motivations, a vivid prospect of success (i.e. sex for men, or marriage for women), or trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Thus, men should imagine things like how they would detect and respond to a woman’s IOIs and subtle communications, as well as instances of hypoagenticity, lies, mind games, $h!t Tests, Solipsistic Hamsterbations, trolling, etc., and how to maintain Frame throughout it all.

Women should imagine things like anticipating male desire, being helpmates, recognizing men for individual traits, as well as how they might be submissive and respectful to a man they are committed to, even when they don’t feel like it.

I could go on about things that would actually be helpful in building a mindset conducive to a sanctified relationship.  Readers are welcome to add others.

Instead, men are avoiding women altogether, and are combing through XHamster when they suffer from the dreaded blue balls; while women are in the habit of imagining how men might serve them and worship them.  Women are rather successful in this, I might add, although not as much now as in past decades.  Meanwhile, men are not nearly on par.
