I've turned almost everything into cash. Even if the real inflation goes up to 10% and the interest rates rise to 5%, I'll only lose the other 5%. On the other hand, when (not if) the stock market goes down 50% or more, it's going to be much more painful indeed. Also, unlike in 2020, the Fed can't lower the interest rates anymore so the bonds will certainly suffer when the the rates start going up.
