As Thomas Sowell said, equip yourself with skills that people will gladly pay you for.

Yep. And you know what, it got me out of my depression to where I could see clearly enough to take more positive steps in my life. Every time I stopped merely listening to the guy and actually DID something he recommended, it didn't take long for it to zap me out of my funk.

Here's the thing: money that you earn through providing value to another person feels different than money that is given to you through any other means. When I was at my lowest, I made a mantra that started producing rapid results in my life: *I am well-paid by people who enjoy paying me for things that I love to do.* I've since developed multiple good relationships where money is exchanged for things I've become more and more competent at providing, and I would not trade this for a lump sum of …

I wish you the best in your endeavors. I just have a lot of experience with people in various non-monogamous arrangements, and I’ve yet to see it end up in anything but a disaster in the long-run. Women need attention like they need oxygen, and they will begin to compete for it from you as time goes on. Especially if you’re trying to make it a regular thing. Plates are fine, LTRs are fine, but trying to do both? You’re tapping into some deep programming that is a minefield.

I did the threesome things with my ex, I’d be super careful, because you want your girl dreading the potential of competition, not actually competing. Opening up our sex life was a massive mistake.

Well enough. Go ahead and discuss whether you both agree that being fat is going to be far higher on the list of attractive qualities vs. whether you have facial hair or not. Color me sincerely surprised if you both disagree with this.

Damn straight. Grow stubble with this assumption, “My stubble is attractive to attractive women.” Grow a beard and assume, “My beard gets women looking at me.” Shave it off and assume, “My facial features are constantly bringing me opportunities to talk to interested women.” Establish your frame and hold onto it. Watch your reality shape itself around it.

Groom your fucking stubble, man, otherwise it does give off a hobo vibe.

No shit, Sherlock. He’s not saying that stubble is the sole thing that drives attraction. You both agree that being fat is a huge detriment towards sexual attraction.

My GF told me how much she was craving my dick the other day. She asked if this made her naughty, then she said she only craves mine, so it must be OK. I told her I have a fence for her that’s a “Good girl,” and inside that fence she can be as naughty as she pleases. I’m telling you, this frame thing and helping her feel safe enough to let out her horny dark side really works. And it’s a night and day difference between how I went about this with my ex-wife. She shit-tested me with her dark side…

Favorite line: Never think you’ve improved enough but always consider yourself enough.” Meaning, I haven’t improved enough to achieve my next set of goals. But good enough to get a girl wet? Hell yeah.

See, I think you’re right. Here’s the cool thing: women are capable of recognizing this desire, and if you give her a quicker, more pleasurable route to get it, she’ll start taking it. You’ve done well to recognize her “I need dick” energy, but you’re making a mistake of equating her shitty behavior as the only way a woman can express it. What if she could get the dick she wants, and you could get some chicken wings and damned respect instead? She’s gonna latch onto you because then, and only th…

Power play. This. All the way. Help her train her brain to associate her “I Need Your Dick’s Attention” energy with positive, beneficial behaviors. This loop of 1) the feeling of needing dick attention, 2) so I engage in behaviors to make him aggressive, so 3) he fucks me with that animalistic energy I want to feel, and the 4) all is right in the world until 5) it quickly isn’t... man. What a shitty loop for both of you to be in. This is what you want more of? Women are very capable of learning …

Listen, there are more productive ways of dealing with this “I need dick” energy from your girl. My LTR and I have a term for this energy that we made up, because one day I came over and she was decompressing after work. After a lot of attempts at connecting, she said, “I just feel distant from you.” I was in immediately aware of an anger response inside me. I felt I had done quite a bit to connect. I don’t remember the sequence of events, but fairly soon after I took her upstairs and I gave her…

Also, you need to understand what “attractive” means to a woman. It is not 100% identical to what we find attractive. There are physical attraction points that are very important for initial attraction. And then there are things like confidence and having a goddamned purpose and a comfortable sense of humor. (not a needy one looking for validation)

I disagree. I think humanity goes on an upward spiral of collective and individual interests. At some point, being on your own proves too difficult, so you seek to make alliances with others who respect your version of individuality. This itself becomes a new group. Once it runs its course, the benefits of the group start to outweigh the value of the individual, and those people splinter off. Once enough splinters have occurred, the cycle repeats, but with different values. If you’ve never heard…

I was thinking along the same lines. Our Bill of Rights was about everything a government should never be allowed to change or alter for the individual, whereas the Constitution was about the only things the government could do. America was an interesting idea in that it inverted the power dynamics and recognized true power to rest in the hands of the individual, and sought to limit the power of the collective to trample the rights of the individual. If anything, it anticipated that the collecti…

Absolutely. Depression is yet another feeling to learn to sit with, to learn from, to have patience with yourself through.

Bravo for helping your son with this. Anger, yes. It was an emotion that I was taught to suppress. Then I was taught that it’s not anger that’s wrong, but what we do with it. But no one told me that anger has many subsets, and they are extremely important to learn how to distinguish. There’s a difference when you are feeling FRUSTRATED at your partner’s mistakes, and when you’re feeling BETRAYED by your partner’s enthusiasm toward you vs. another man. Those are both anger feelings. I do think it…

Yeah. I don’t know to call feelings other than...feelings, emotions. Intuitions? Well, sometimes emotions are wrong but they still need to be vented. Whatever we call them, they are like children: you can’t let them drive your car, but you can’t stuff them in the trunk, either. You’re a human. You have feelings. Look up a feelings wheel and learn that “sad” is not simply sad. Maybe what you’re feeling isn’t “depression,” maybe it’s rejection. Or inferiority. Or regret. Once identified, you can s…

Male friendships are absolutely essential. And having a guy you can talk about your feelings with is doubly essential. If the only person you can be vulnerable with is the person you are also fucking, you have all your eggs in one basket. I’ve seen so many men completely devastated by a breakup because they could only talk about their feelings to the girl they now no longer have access to. This is hard for us guys, but when the advice given to us is, “Talk more about your feelings,” we red pill …

I read one, “25 Ways to Raise Feminist Boys.” You’re in Boise, too? There needs to be a Red Pill meetup of some kind. Haven’t found anyone here yet of this mentality.

I’m recently divorced and seeking to follow Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life. While I was raised in a very blue pill version of Christianity, I’ve found Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness and self-mastery, along with Proverbs (and some Psalms), to be something I wish to build my life upon. Your post inspires me. I’m in my mid-30’s and want the kind of lifestyle you are talking about. I cannot join you as a founding member (my Masters is in the very blue pill field of religion), but I’m following …
