Forgot to add. Cctv, easily purchase and setup. She'll come smashing on your door to gain access. This is probably your best piece of evidence of her behaviour. Think this is playing dirty? Trust me if she was smart enough she'd do it to you.

As a dad who went through something very similar, one of the best pieces of advice I read was: "strike first, strike hard" This doesn't relate to violence ( if I have to point out the obvious). Don't wait for her to make the first move, which will be a restraining order, claim over your children, income, and assets. Not sure what it's like in the US, but I would change all locks when she is out of the house, place a restraining order on her due to her aggressive, coercise, controlling, intimidat…

I'm in Western Australia and this is not the case (for me and the docketed magistrate we had). I had the restraining order set aside she placed on me and access to my baby reinstated within 2 months of applying to the court. Have a clean record, play a clean game, record everything, understand your legislation, you have rights as does your child. You can fight this. Keep it CHILD FOCUSSED, court does not care about how much you hate your ex.

Man, I was going to type words, but I'll share two short clips that have always helped me during the darkest of times (I have been through what you have been through) https://youtu.be/YTuElM6T50w https://youtu.be/D_Vg4uyYwEk Short and punchy. Even if it helps you one increment moving forward that's an increment you didn't have before. Use your support networks to manage this situation. You're a smart guy, you can do this!

Not alone brother. It's extremely hard at first but my recommendation is to take up hobbies, spend time with friends and family, go to the gym, etc. Essentially fill the void up between seeing your children. You'll never get the nuclear family scenario back, but remember the reasons why you seperated and be happy that person is out of your life.

Got kids? Common dirty practise is to use them to seperate fathers from their children on an interim basis. If the length of seperation is long enough by the time the family courts catch up or the VRO is lifted, you may have a harder time gaining access to your children or may require supervision for the first few visits. You will so incur further costs if you choose to oppose the VRO due to having to engage a criminal lawyer. In the interim you have an incriminating protection order dangling ov…

Dude. You couldn't be in a better age and time to be single after a marriage. You're super young (average age of divorce is over 40 for both genders) so you're at your peak physical health and attractiveness. You live in 2019 where we can just install apps and connect with random girls around your area (this never existed before) and because you're so young you likely don't have a huge net worth combined so hopefully there won't be a massive legal battle. You literally can just start your life a…

Not letting her into your premises is a bit tricky when dating someone lol. I do get super edgy when I find clothing of hers in the cupboard. I know there is a reasonable explanation of why she's left it there for work etc, but it just screams 'evidence'...

"I'm convinced that these women simply learned to take us for granted, and then wanted to do their own thing and follow their heart etc--forgetting the very real financial value that we brought to the relationship. " I need a shirt with this on it. Brilliant post

After the hell that literally came from living with a woman for only one year and accidentally having a child together...likely not. Here in Australia if you just live with a woman in 'married like conditions' it opens you up to litigation and the family court. Can't think of many benefits other than pleasing your family and their religious needs. I'm sure it could probably work with the right partner but then people change with time. Good luck!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
