For example: high school drop out ‘bad boys’ are probably more likely to be criminals and the whole group of traits is probably linked to low IQ and to generally not following social customs including actually raising their children. IQ is very highly hereditary. Hereditary doesn’t mean it’s entirely genetic. Regardless, the best indicator for whether it is true is surely the actual results of the population on IQ tests overtime. The Flynn Effect is the term for the very well known, and essentially undisputed fact that average scores on IQ tests have steadily increased over time (the cause is debated, but not the existence of the increase). Add a couple more high score xs and a bunch of low score xs and make the ys more uniform and you can get the ys higher than the xs. . Another factor to consider is were eliminating all the x that are 0 which could skew it dramatically. Another thing is it could easily be median or mode not mean used. And that if you can’t afford to buy a Ferrari and Gucci clothes and still be wealthy than you’re not wealthy enough to own one - that’s why they generally appropriately signal wealth, leading to initial interest at least until they find out you’re broke.
