IFS is a conservative religious think tank. They have a pretty extreme bias even by conservative standards. The first article you shared also seems to back women’s narrative, I’m not sure if you read it based on your comments.

Happiness is down across the board, though that’s in part because for the first times it’s acceptable to actually acknowledge mental health struggles, but we also have to keep in mind in the U.S. half the country has come out in support of open sadism especially against women. Hence why they’re called the rapey right.

I think it’s because if a family holds to these values they’re grooming young girls to be more vulnerable to abuse and limiting their freedom and choices compared to their peers.

I’ve always seen a relationship as deep emotional intimacy (without being toxic or codependent) first and foremost. If I couldn’t have that I wouldn’t be with a person. I’ve been in quite a few relationships and have been with my wife for over 11 years and it’s never been an issue.

The facts do agree with me. Your culture treats women like prisoners and punching bags. Similarly because women are often punished themselves for being raped in your culture it’s not reported. the most likely person to kill a woman is her husband, and as we both know the Middle East is pretty much the only place where her brother or father will also kill her at such a high rate, and those three are the ones who get power and control over her life and get to dictate every single thing about it be…

No, these laws treat women like chattel and the men in her family are often the largest threat to them, and these laws aid in that abuse, with many taking Quran 4:34 to bless male on female domestic violence. Hence why across the board your stats don’t mean a whole lot because half of our crimes are entirely legal within those cultures so there’s nothing to report

So you were born in an egalitarian culture and you still have these bigoted views? 13 year olds can’t consent, neither can 6 or 9 year olds. The Middle East has an abysmal human rights record when it comes to women, both historically and today, as mentioned. Limited freedom, rights, and opportunities compared to men, and oppressive and degrading male guardianship laws where women are treated as permanent minors. Also all crime and health statistics you’re referring to are pretty irrelevant when …

Are you a troll, dense, or evil? We were talking about your cultures propensity for marrying young girls to old men. That’s sex trafficking. Arranged marriages generally take place in cultures that discriminate against women and girls as a rule putting pressure on them to accept because they’re generally not allowed to provide for themselves, similarly if their parents don’t actually care about them they will likely just choose men that are advantageous for them as opposed to a good match for th…

I have an issue with it being sex trafficking, gross, predatory, and little girls carrying babies before their bodies are ready. Because it’s never “a say” it’s pressure, if not force. Parents have their own biases and these cultures are often highly misogynistic so there’s often little if any regard for the woman’s wishes or wellbeing. Because the husband is getting a second wife which means the first wife now only has half a husband, and it treats women as property. Similarly, if you actually …

Marriage used to be a father sex trafficking his daughter. Do you think we’ve improved on that tradition?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/24 12:01 AM

Yeah, tell that to all of history’s slaves, domestic abuse victims, involuntary eunuchs, and every woman who’s had clit cut off.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 11:13 PM

The marrying off of young girls to old men was specifically mentioned already, but I would also include any marriage that features male guardianship. I mean you even think it’s okay for a man to take a second wife against his first wife’s wishes, so you clearly don’t care about your wife’s feelings at all.

Each of those roles is limited in time and/or scope. Similarly each of those roles is available to anyone who can earn them. Whereas a woman is barred from leadership based solely on her being a woman and the man is awarded it based solely on him being a man and marriage encompasses the entirety of one’s life. So the man controls the entirety of the woman’s life until one of them is dead. It’s unity in the sense that the man has all the power and the woman is just along for the ride, there’s no …

We do agree on most things because we both prioritize the other above ourselves and it’s really not that hard to pull off. I don’t think either gender has better judgment and I think men are just as emotional as women, just different emotions like rage, lust, and disgust as they’re more socially acceptable for men. Also women are more risk averse, which can be a problem, but more risky behavior is often a larger problem. I don’t think anyone should be a passenger in their own life, and I think a…

Weird, I’ve been with my wife 11 years and she and I both prefer us having an equal say in our own lives. It works perfectly with neither us needing the power to impose our will and radically alter the other’s life against to eir will with the “final say.” Why don’t you let go of your pride and accept a cooperative relationship instead of one having power and control over the other? The latter is a recipe for an abusive relationship so I understand why no woman would want it.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/24 12:56 AM

There’s a difference between discipline and abuse, boundaries and control, and providing tough love and providing no love at all. Red pillers can’t seem to tell the difference.

It’s all based on what you’re said, how you identify, and how you present yourself. Sorry bud.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 10:24 PM
2

You seem to be addicted to anger. You seem to equate masculine with red pill. Which is like equating being white with being in klan. Yes, I think you’re insecure as most men can have healthy functional relationships without this nonsense. Fathers are important but I think your idea of tough love is being a bully. Raising children is helping them become the best version of themselves, not making them who you want them to be and controlling everything they’ll do or become.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 10:20 PM
2

You’re red pill, which means you follow the tenets of the red pill, which is focused on manipulating and bullying women into submitting to your will. Ergo if you had a daughter you’d want her to have a husband similar to you which would also be a manipulative condescending bully, and in your case angry, or you’d have to admit you want better for her than how you treat her mom, but you guys seem to lack self awareness so I doubt that’ll come up.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 09:17 PM

You seem to have some anger issues. I think the problem is that you’re a red pill dude, which means you’re looking to control and exploit women, which suggests you’d likely set your daughter up to be treated the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 09:08 PM
5

Lmao. You literally said controlling who she dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 01:19 PM
5

Yes, a father is insecure for doing so. Plus the men who do that are usually conservative, so usually even more controlling and abusive. The stereotype you stated of women, is more common for men and especially men who subscribe to gender roles who believe they’re entitled to power and control over their partners, because to admit they’re wrong means they “look weak”. I mean look who they vote for.

Shouldn’t it be “First, women were discriminated against in the workforce, education, politics, and banking, men were legally allowed to beat their wives, there was a double standard when it came to male infidelity, and sex crimes weren’t taken seriously.” ?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 10:14 AM

Like I said, that’s good, it just doesn’t outweigh the abuse and discrimination that India’s culture imposes on women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 06:14 PM
1

I’m sort of confused because gender relations in India are obviously much worse given DV, SA, and discrimination issues. Clearly that’s the outcome of their beliefs. Similarly the Trump and abortion issues you bring up are legitimate, but they’re pushed by people who think exactly as you do so you’ll have to agree it’s your beliefs or those that are incredibly similar, that are causing most issues related to gender, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 05:06 PM
1

Okay, that’s good, but any issues we have in the west related to abortion are coming from cultural conservatives who would hold similar views to India’s views on women where they are beneath and under the control of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 05:02 PM
1

It may not be bad as Afghanistan but it’s certainly similar to SA. Obviously everything would be improved they adopted a more western culture
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 03:40 AM

I’m not trying to be condescending, but isn’t it kind of obvious that India is a worse environment for women than the west by a lot?

I would group the Saudi Arabia in with India, as they’re both patriarchal cultures that treat women as lesser beings and reduce their agency, discriminate against them, and don’t take their abuse seriously. I would say the issues are more prevalent in patriarchal cultures than in egalitarian cultures that treat women as full people. The Philippines are ranked 16th in gender equality in the world so while not being super familiar with them, it seems they take gender issues far more seriously than…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 04:35 PM
3

I believe that they’re treated as lesser beings compared to men, and men can treat them essentially however they want without much pushback or accountability. Both DV and SA (by strangers or those known to the victim) are huge issues in India. When women flee they’re often sent back to their abuser. given the way families are structured over there she often lives with her in laws who favor her husband over her. Basically everything is stacked against them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 04:19 PM
2

I don’t think it’s a misconception. You’ve already agreed that all the issues we’ve discussed exist. The men may not be treated like cattle, but the women seem to be, hence the beatings and SA. The appearance of stability, I.e. not getting divorced, is not the same as having an actual stable, I.e. safe, marriage and when I safe I don’t just mean free from violence, but emotionally safe and a place where you can be yourself and thrive. It’s great they can say no, but that doesn’t change the press…

I’m not saying you’re responsible for them, but you are responsible for promoting this relationship style and therefor if someone listened to you and suffered those same consequences would you not have some responsibility in it? No amount of DV is acceptable, and the entire culture treats women worse than it treats men, you just listed a ton of issues in India that all sound many times worse than any issues we have in the west. Being trapped in a miserable abusive marriage sounds way worse than …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 03:28 PM
3

Those cultures also treat women like absolute garbage, with guardianship laws, weak if not nonexistent DV laws, weak SA laws that generally don’t apply within marriage, and women are generally discriminated against in all facets of life. It traps women in marriages and families in which they’re miserable. All of that sounds a lot worse than what you’ve described as issues in the West.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 03:08 PM

Doesn’t India have huge problems related to the way they treat women like DV and SA? Where’s your responsibility to them?

The same dollar cycles through the economy many times, and the pie makers will spend their wages elsewhere and that place’s workers will spend their income, which may include the pie store. The problem is that the government has favored supply side economics killing the middle class.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/24 03:23 PM

Women make up half of society, advocating for their interests means you’re advocating for at least half of society.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/24 03:20 PM

That’s not true if productivity scales with the amount of workers. For example, yes if one person made 5 pies and earned the wage of making 5 pies and now had that work split between them and another worker, wages decrease as they’re still only making and selling 5 pies. However with two workers you should be able to make 10 pies, and the wages should stay the same and they’re still producing and selling the same amount of goods per worker.

Yes, society used to pressure girls into a single track of life, now they have options like men have always had, and they’re choosing to not take an incredible risk and burden. Go figure.

I don’t know if “healthy” is the right word. Little girls being married to old men and having their rape baby is not what I would consider “healthy”. Similarly most incredibly poor countries don’t have child labor protections that stop children from being exploited for their labor, meaning they add to household earnings or productivity, and that incentivizes having more children. So they’re not having more kids because they consider if a blessing, but rather to use them and then they sell off th…

Egalitarian marriage absolutely exists, I live one, we both respect each other and neither of us have priority in decision making. It makes for a happier and healthier relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/24 12:42 PM
1

If that were true marriages in that age bracket wouldn’t have a much lower success rate. Being a homemaker makes her more dependent and isolated, and gives him additional leverage to exploit her. Don’t you think an egalitarian marriage will mean your daughter gets treated better since her voice will carry the same weight his does?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/24 07:20 AM
1

None of that says anything about the man being in leadership or having control over her.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 09:59 PM
3

It’s not healthy that he can gatekeep everything she might ever want and can clip her wings whenever he feels like it. There’s nothing healthy in a marriage like that. I want my voice to matter the same as my spouse’s so it’s only fair for me to treat her the same.

Where are you finding this data?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 08:05 PM

Traditional relationships are based on tradition. Tradition is what has been practiced historically. So to push for a traditional relationship is to push for how things were done historically and historically men treated women like shit in marriage. Most people aren’t happier having other people control them, women included.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 07:55 PM
2

I apologize, I saw the yellow profile picture and thought you were the same guy. I understand the traditional model, I just think it’s often not the most fair that one person has the final say, though if that’s what they both prefer so be it. I think an egalitarian cooperative model creates a more fair model where everyone gets an equal say, and I think it’s most important on those big decisions.

I’m sorry for your loss. My grandmother couldn’t even have a driver’s license without her husband’s permission until we got modern anti-discrimination laws. History shows that support for these types of relationships always lead to harm for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 02:56 PM
12

Her having less experience means she’ll have a worse time picking a partner and knowing herself and her goals, setting her up for a marriage that will be more likely to be unhappy. Everyone should respect their spouse or partner, but a “traditional” marriage usually has women infantilized at best or subjugated and abused at worst.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 02:20 PM
6

Why would you want her to get married sooner rather than later if she is going to be more likely to end up unhappy? Also if you care about what she wants in the first question why would you want her in a trad marriage where what she wants doesn’t matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 02:15 PM
7

Would you care about what happened to your grandma? Because assuming you’re an adult your grandma likely faced systemic discrimination and a police force that didn’t take abuse seriously even after it was criminalized which only happened in 1920.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 02:12 PM

Idk my wife is much more concerned with cleanliness than I am, I clean more than I normally would to please her, but obviously everyone’s space should be respected. I don’t see what any of that has to do with obedience though.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 01:59 PM
6

Not presently due to changes in laws and culture, but for the majority of human history men have had the authority to beat their wives without consequence, and many cultures even went so far as to encourage it. It’s only because we’ve moved away from your values that we’ve gotten to a place where women are treated like people.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 01:39 PM
4

Usually relationships like this leave the woman vulnerable to abuse and exploitation and that’s how it’s worked out more often than not.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 01:31 PM
9

I think most people would rather provide for themselves rather than be controlled by someone else. Similarly isn’t what she does for the relationship, like idk carrying and birthing children, of infinitely more value? Why do you not owe her obedience?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 12:53 PM
10

I think given the history of these types of relationships women are obviously harmed by them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 12:50 PM
10

Wouldn’t she be more likely to end up unhappy if she settles before full brain development and before either her or her partner have figured out who they really are? Plus if she’s your daughter you might pressure her into a male dominated marriage when she’s clearly better served by a relationship where what she wants actually matters?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 12:48 PM
5

I don’t think that’s an accurate assessment, unless you mean the female role is to be wholly obedient and servile to their partner, which is what the red pill seems to want.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/24 12:45 PM
1

In my experience extended family can often be more a burden than a support. Especially when it’s often one person in a marriage’s birth family and they expect to do things a certain way and you’re the new person who has different ideas.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/24 03:07 PM
8

Not when your family is the burden. Look at cultures that practice this sort of thing, women are usually treated like garbage.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/24 09:47 AM
7

What does that mean exactly? Because it reads as reduce their agency in such a way they settle for less than what they would want or think they deserve, which is exactly like the societies I’m describing both presently and historically.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/24 09:26 AM

I’m a little confused, you seem to be against rape, at least “in the streets”, but societies that suppress women usually are the most violent and most sexually predatory towards women.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/24 09:32 PM

It’s not pointless because a culture’s laws represent its values. At any point they could’ve outlawed it but they didn’t because for time immemorial men have had power and privilege over their wives. Women were expected to be under the total control of their husbands and violence was a method to enforce that control. I think you’re neglecting how misogynistic trad culture is even today.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 08:56 AM

Yes, but for me it was boring. I realized pretty quickly I only like relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 08:49 AM
2

It being legal means women and girls (and I do emphasize girls because trads aren’t big on age of consent) weren’t protected by the law from abusive spouses. Yes, abuse still happens but as we know it’s now illegal, which means it’s actually a crime and men get punished for it, though if we look at trads in cultures like Russia it does seem trads are pushing to decriminalize it.

It was legal, and even after if it was outlawed it wasn’t taken seriously until the 70’s. The law and culture favored male domination over women and you’re surprised that it resulted in abuse?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 02:41 AM
3

No, but we both know that spousal abuse is a huge issue in any culture that puts men as head of the family, and trads seem to like it that way. Hence why it took until 1920 to even outlaw DV in every state.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 02:35 AM

Because it eventually leaks like with the Duggars.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 02:31 AM

I think you’re ignoring that traditionalism historically and presently is replete with domestic violence and sex crimes, but they cover it up for the family’s reputation as the expense of the women and children’s safety.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 01:13 AM

Are you potentially jaded? I’ve never had any of this experience and have been plenty successful in both dating and now marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/24 12:39 AM
7

Idk I’ve always been myself and I don’t consider myself too manly and I’ve been very successful with woman both in dating and now marriage
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/24 11:47 PM

I’ve looked into it for over a decade, since Rapey Roosh was red pill for example. I guess I’ve never seen the appeal of not being myself as I’ve always been successful in love and life doing so without being a posturing malignant narcissist. The “playful teasing” I’ve seen is just usually trying to attack people’s insecurities.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/24 11:47 PM

I mean red pill is about being manipulative and emotionally abusive, it’s not rocket science
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/24 10:53 PM

Idk I was very successful both during my dating life and having been with my wife for 11 years and don’t do any of the red pill bullshit
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/24 10:34 PM
3

I find that most men who need to call themselves manly are usually deeply insecure narcissists
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/24 10:31 PM

I think you need to take a deep breath, it’s not that masculinity is toxic, it’s that there is type of masculinity that is toxic, the “boys don’t cry” “don’t go to the doctor” “the only type of emotions men can show are rage, lust, and disgust”, also the “let’s vote for a 26 time accused sexual predator for president” type. So I guess if you don’t want to be considered rapey don’t be so in favor of rapists.

Idk, seems silly to me especially when we learn more with each relationship and many early ones are very experimental. Though I do have some logistical questions: If you loaned someone all your money once, would you be expected to loan out all your money to the next person or just match the dollar amount? If you let a girl with really tiny fingers put one in your ass would you also have to let a girl with really big fingers put one there too? What if she just has a nub, would you have to accept …

Have you heard of male headship or complementarianism?

You do. That’s not everyone. Blue collar jobs are shrinking and it still proves that many men aren’t the larger earner where you claimed men always lose.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 02:32 PM
3

I’m thinking about all the verses that prescribe marital hierarchy and give men power and control over their wives thus limiting their rights, freedom, and opportunities. Which is also what was used to justify legal domestic violence, coverture, and discrimination against women in most facets of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 03:38 AM
8

That’s not true though, as women have increased in earnings it’s often them who are losing more.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 01:20 AM
4

I mean for women it’s a huge change, often uncomfortable if not miserable, and then a painful birth process that often leads to lifelong change. I understand as a Christian making women miserable is kind of the point, male headship for example, but that’s a possible reason especially now that the abandonment of Christian principles have led to greater educational and vocational opportunities for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 01:18 AM

I find that the people who talk the way you do are usually the absolute worst parents. Just like people who don’t want kids being pressured into being parents probably would not make good parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 01:16 AM

It’s always the ones who say that who are the worst at running government, also usually authoritarian and rapey.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 03:16 PM

Empathy doesn’t mean I don’t recognize that many people just suck. If someone is having a tough time and blaming themselves, I’m here to help, but if they’re going on rants and becoming radicalized chances are they lack the self-awareness necessary for reflection and improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 03:15 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 01:16 AM

Idk, if a woman acted that way I would understand we’re incompatible. I’m okay with taking risks and showing all of myself because I could never be happy in a relationship where I couldn’t. I had plenty of success before meeting my wife and now am obviously married.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 12:54 AM

You’re familiar with the businesses, college, and charity he had to shut down due to fraud right? The dude lies more often than you or I breath. I literally don’t care about Hunter, nor does anyone else on the left because he’s just someone’s kid. He’s not holding office. He’s a sideshow and yet he offered to testify in public but your guys just shut it down because then they can’t spin it how they want. Good luck on your next insurrection.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 12:22 AM

Fair enough, I just don’t think these men are going to be successful going forward and I don’t think holding it in is helping, as it seems most of them are either imploding or becoming radicalized online. Most the men here who are struggling seem to lean conservative as well as so maybe it’s not the “soy boys” but rather the cosplay masculinity guys. Similarly turning sexual success into a competition is what makes much of this discourse so toxic and I would consider that another display of toxi…

Because they all seem just as crazed and stupid and they were given high profile jobs for no real reason and with no real qualification, and Jr seems to enjoy his drugs just as much as Hunter . We can’t control how our kids turn out. My point about him being a crazed drug addict is that you can’t trust what he says. /r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 10:29 PM

I thought Hunter was a crazed drug addict? I’m of course talking about Trump’s 26 accusations, he even bragged about how young Epstein liked em. I’m a male, but conservatives are trying to strip women of their right to have an abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 10:22 PM
2

I’ve always been successful with women despite being emotional, empathetic , and open with my feelings and my wife loves that about me. There’s supposedly a “male loneliness epidemic” because they’re trapped alone with their feelings. Maybe it’s your outdated stereotypes from a time where most men were alcoholics who could legally beat their wives that are no longer useful?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 10:20 PM

When the right made their patron saint a 26 time accused predator it’s hard for women to trust conservatives. Plus they vote to strip them of their rights.

I am both politically active and active in my union, so I definitely don’t just listen and i definitely resent following directives I disagree with. similarly my job is just my job and the government is impersonal, whereas my marriage is my life so I definitely need to be 100% on board with decisions, as should everyone in every relationship. Having one person be the decision maker is a recipe for oppression and abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 12:58 PM
1

I’m not sure where you live but in the U.S. and all first world countries we see men and women as equals and we also question authority so we will absolutely resent that person forever if they radically alter our lives against our will. relationships are based on cooperative decision making instead of one person imposing their will on the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/23 11:09 AM

How does one person being the final decision maker not lead to resentment from the other person? Sounds like a recipe for resentment.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 05:49 PM

TRP is rooted entirely in being a narcissist. You’ve already described yourself as very strict. That doesn’t sound like “heathy boundaries”. Sounds more like your children live in fear.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 09:57 AM
2

You want a submissive partner and obedient children, in a manner you describe as very strict, which I imagine means you want them to do only what you want and they have no room to explore their interests or self expression. Red pill is based entirely narcissism as you know. So I would suggest that is quite controlling.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 09:32 PM

Oh, you’re red pill which means you’re controlling and describe yourself as very strict which also means you’re controlling. Isn’t that suggestive having control issues?

Do you have control issues?

Sorry you’ve had a rough go of it, but I’ve never hid my feelings and I don’t intend to start. Sounds like being in prison. We have a healthy and active sex life and she’s always been incredibly supportive of me as I have been of her. Similarly if I’m upset to the point of needing comfort, I’m not looking for sex. Islam and Christianity both promote hierarchical relationships where the husband has all the power and control. For example, if he decides they’re moving to Russia and she doesn’t want to go, it doesn’t matter, if she wants 2 kids and he wants 26, they go 26, if she loves her job but he wants her to be a SAHM then she’s gonna be a SAHM, because she must submit to him “in everything” ergo her voice only matters as much as he decides it does, and having studied “male headship” and “complementarian…

You have to remember that religious women are generally treated as chattel in their relationships when they are devout followers, like in Islam or Christianity where women are expected to express slavish obedience to their husbands. So they probably have to pretend to be enthusiastic about sex or even have sex they don’t want or consider degrading in their relationship to try to earn even basic consideration from their husbands.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 12:41 PM

You literally wrote a post “women have ruined men?” and wrote what was described as a “painfully whiny rant” about how women have ruined men lol.

Have you heard of punctuation? It can assist your readers in being able to follow your screeds. Nature can certainly be oppressive, obviously men using their physical advantages to impose their will on their wives is by its very nature oppression and abuse. Most psychological studies show that women are just as effective at leadership as men, though that can be difficult to accept for self aggrandizing narcissists to accept, case in point. Using unverifiable religion and red pill junk science to…

Which is more common: Paternity fraud or DV? Hint: DV.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 09:57 AM
1

Yes, but also have the biological privilege of having children with tearing your body apart, and similarly there is no party more likely to kill a woman than her intimate partner and domestic violence occurs more frequently than paternity fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 09:55 AM
2

Nearly 20% of marriages have DV, paternity fraud is estimated to be somewhere between 1-3.7%. Why would it be illogical to take precautions? Especially with a guy who’s red pill or red pill adjacent who is going to have a psychological profile most similar to a wife beater given his utter contempt and need for control.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 09:50 AM

That’s not even what your article said, dumbass. It said 30% who ask, which is itself a much smaller subsection of those who have children, it said actual estimates account for 1 to 3.7%. Did you post an article without reading it? Makes sense.

Your own article: The murder of female victims is most often perpetrated within the framework of an intimate relationship. Usually, homicides against women are carried out by their male partners, at what turns out to be the end of a trajectory of escalating abuse or dominance (Schwartz 2010).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:43 AM

She’ll live with her best friend or family. How is it not comparable? All the same arguments apply, and I imagine the men more likely to ask for this sort of test are more likely to have the deep seated emotional issues that will likely lead to her untimely demise.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:41 AM
6

How would you prove you have no intention, both presently and in the future, of killing her? She’s just going to have to trust you, right? I’m not saying you can’t ask for the test, I’m saying you can’t ask for the test and not take it as an implicit accusation and evidence of a lack of trust and she can and should react accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:37 AM
4

“Hey stop murdering me! don’t you know it’s against the law?!” The consequences of killing are usually higher, doesn’t stop it from happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:33 AM
11

That’s my point, if you trusted her enough to marry her why ask for a paternity test?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:28 AM
2

If you trusted her enough to marry her you shouldn’t assume the trust is broken without cause. Presumably she’d have her own private dwelling or live with her parents or a close friend. Though even bringing this up seems like we’re getting lost in the weeds.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:19 AM
3

Where was it established she was rummaging through his phone? “Depending on how good everything else is” assuming nothing else is as good as this accusation is bad you should understand her fleeing. Sure, have a stance, be open and clear about it so they can know to run. I’m assuming since you’ve claimed religious affiliation before you hold to a patriarchal relationship structure where you get total control?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/23 12:14 AM
10

Okay, so you’re not even in a relationship? This is like planning your nba career when you can’t even make the high school team. Okay, so if a woman thinks a man asking for a paternity test in unhinged and therefore decides to leave him is that reasonable?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 11:52 PM
11

Plenty of men murder their spouse or partner well into a relationship, so why shouldn’t she have some sort of text or precaution against you murdering her? It’s just a simple text to say you haven’t killed her she sends to her best friend every couple hours every day forever for her peace of mind. She should have peace of mind, right? I mean there’s a non-zero chance you kill her if you look at how many men have murdered their wife or partner. It’s not a lack of trust, she just wants to be sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 11:46 PM
13

Casual sex/early relationship =/= at the stage where you’re having a child with someone. Basically it would be like having a code to text your friend for you to say you’re safe with your ONS vs having the same code to send your friend when you’re on your honeymoon. It’s an implicit lack of trust.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 10:41 PM

The traditions and religions you’re referencing generally treat women like chattel and encourage or enable abusive practices as they generally have a gender hierarchy where men get to control their wives.

Though I imagine if you mean being alone in the sense that not having any loved ones near by, being a red piller is more likely to lead to resentful (ex) spouses and daughters who blame their low self esteem and abusive relationships on the way their dads treated them, so that’s likely to lead to dying alone.

“Honey I bought you this food you don’t like” I’m 32 and all but one of my friends, ranging from 25-35, is in a relationship or married. I’m sorry you’re having a sad and pathetic go of it but that’s on you.

I did mean men, for some reason my new phone is doing weird autocorrect stuff. I’m sorry you’ve had that experience, it’s unfortunate that so many men act so selfishly.

If you’re ignoring her wishes and imposing your own it shows you don’t give a shit about her, which will extend to other issues. Similarly, it seems like you’re bitching quite a bit here so I’m assuming you’d be bitching the whole meal yourself.

I think being open about being controlling is better than not being open, but wouldn’t it be better to just not be controlling in general?

Compromising your morals or values should not be something you have to do, doing something you’re meh about but is important to your partner should be a compromise you’re willing to make as long as there’s reciprocity. My wife knows the plot to DBZ and the rules to football through her willingness to sit through things for me, I know all the songs to wicked and the winner of last several seasons of the bachelor because of my willingness to sit through things for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 12:30 AM

I’ve asked my wife to stop apologizing for things that aren’t done maliciously, which essentially is asking her to stop apologizing in general. She apologizes too much and it’s almost always about things that aren’t within her control. Given men are more brash and arrogant due to testosterone, I’d say it’s more likely they won’t apologize.

Part of compromise is agreeing to the compromise. You seem to have just forced her to do something she didn’t want to do, which does seem consistent with what red pill and red pill adjacent men on this sub are generally about.

The end result is the same, the man getting his way. Similarly if the man is seeking out a submissive partner I don’t think the man he’ll care whether he gets someone who trusts him or a doormat, he just wants someone who will let him have his way. A healthy loving relationship is one based on mutual love and respect.

If you didn’t care you wouldn’t feel the need to justify your belligerence. You can say what’s on your mind, it just doesn’t change people’s minds or accomplish what the point of this subreddit is. I too can say what’s on my mind and I’m doing just that while also debating. You just seem to want to be able to be a dick and have no one call you out on it. Do you want a special privilege where you get to speak your mind but no one else can?

I thought you said you weren’t gonna go back and forth with me? I get it now you’re religious, hence the rapey attitude and the belief that women should be forced to be mothers against their will. Let me guess you think men should have all the power in the relationship? Because that’s how the majority of religions operate, hence the sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Do you give a shit about reading? The sub is called “purple pill debate”. There’s plenty of other subs where you can just hurl noise to your troglodyte peers.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 02:35 AM

You can say whatever you want, but getting triggered over someone not wanting children is not an argument. I didn’t call you an asshole, I said your comments demonstrate that you’re an asshole. Very slight difference, but one is just an insult and the other is attempting to make a claim based on evidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 02:33 AM

Because you don’t understand the concept of debate. You’re worse than bad at it, because you’re not actually doing it. It’s like if you attempt to win a soccer game by shooting your opponents in the face. You don’t understand the basic concept of what we’re doing here. You just hurl insults and that’s not debate. I don’t understand how watching a video game play though would have anything to do with cucking, but I’m assuming you don’t even have a girlfriend to cheat on or be cheated on with. Pro…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 02:30 AM

You’re still not getting it. Your opinion is not a counter argument if it doesn’t attempt to refute the claim. For example, if we were debating if you’re an asshole saying your physical appearance is probably unsettling wouldn’t be a counter argument, but reading your comments verbatim would be a good piece of evidence as it demonstrates your character.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 02:25 AM

I don’t remember asking why you’re belligerent, but you showed that you are and I responded to it. I’m sure there’s a YouTube video that explains what debates and conversations are if you still don’t understand. Let me guess you watched an Andrew Tate video and now you want to be a sex trafficker too?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 02:21 AM

It’s a debate sub. They’re making a claim. Your temper tantrum is not an argument, but based on your list of insults, I’m going to guess you’re not interested in actual debate.

I have plenty; I’m just not an asshole, as previously stated. Again, give it a shot. If 1998 is your birth year then I still have hope you may mature at some point.

I think the words themselves describe the relationship accurately, it’s just that this relationship structure is not a good one unless the woman actually feels relief at not having to make decisions, as opposed to feeling oppressed by having decisions imposed upon them. I know there are some women (and men) who belong to the former camp, but throughout history women were forced into the latter camp whether they liked it or not. Men wanting a formal hierarchy only really suggests they want their …

We have all of human history to show that one side being dominant over the other is harmful if not abusive hence why we’ve strayed from this model as we’ve had a greater emphasis on freedom and safety in modern times. Both sides should be respected and want what’s best for the other. No one should be looking to control their partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 11:46 AM

Shouldn’t just everyone come up with a relationship structure that works for them? The problem being discussed is that trad people want male dominated relationships imposed on women and then raise girls that don’t get any choice in the matter. Since the average man and woman are going to the same average competence they should on average have an equal relationship. Obviously everyone should be respectful, not difficult, not argumentative when in a relationship but shouldn’t that flow both ways r…

From what I’ve seen they’re putting out their nonnegotiables early which is only saying they’re not going to be some submissive housewife. Perhaps it’s how you interact with them that causes you to draw these conclusions? You describe them as “ masculine belligerent women” suggesting these characteristics of being uncooperative and domineering would be fine from a man in a relationship and that it’s “unladylike” to be assertive and have boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 02:57 PM

One can be assertive without being adversarial and independent without being a misanthrope. You’re creating a straw (wo)man. If you think men are only attracted to doormats they can control and exploit that says more things about you and your perception of men then it does about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 02:39 PM

Most women I see described as “pick me’s” are generally arguing not that they themselves are okay choosing whatever lifestyle they want but rather arguing all women suck and should have male dominated relationships imposed on them.

Anyone who pushes these types of relationships is pushing abusive relationships as they believe men get to control their wives, which is abuse. Then you also have the ones who enable physical and sexual abuse, which of course if you believe in patriarchy, it’s the next logical step. For example here in the states we have pastors like Doug Wilson, John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Paige Patterson, Doug Phillips, Mark Driscoll, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 11:39 AM
3

Again, I disagree. Everyone has their own way they might want love or respect expressed but I don’t think it’s gendered. As a dude I think respect is the baseline for all interactions with anyone, but love is actual special part of the relationship. Similarly, I love and respect my wife too much to want to control her life which seems to be what this whole submission nonsense is about.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 01:17 AM

Most of the pastors that I see teach this male dominated relationships are later found to have enabled abuse at their church or committed abuse themselves. It seems like most just look for self serving power.

Women were limited in their freedom, often less educated and respected based on wholesale discrimination and oppression, and often traded like cows to secure alliances, so I think it’s more of a lack of opportunity. Most of the conflicts of the past were resolved based on who was willing to be more brutal to force the other side into submission. Nowadays where diplomacy is seen as the first and best way to resolve problems I would think emotional intelligence would be a keen skill to have.

I don’t think men make “better” leaders, I think they can make more brutal ones and therefore can extinguish their less brutal adversaries. In modern times where less and less people find this style of leadership to be at all acceptable and instead focus on things like mutual consent and an overall respect for people and their dignity, it’s become clear that both sexes can be effective leaders.

Speaking as a man who aspires to all things egalitarian, I think you’ll find a wide range of opinions on the subject, but the most common will be “I don’t want someone who fights me on everything”. Which is to really say they want someone compatible/agreeable. You’re one who said those men would give up their lives for their wives, I’m just pointing out that even if they did it’s likely selfish as trad men are generally predatory and controlling. A lot of people want to go out in a blaze of glory, get a Wikipedia article out of it or what have you. It’s a form of self aggrandizement, not an act of general care or concern. If you can only “love” someone if you fully control their lives and actions, as most trad men expect of women, you don’t actually love them, because loving someone means actually wanting them to be happy and have what they want and need. For your spouse that means you’re their biggest cheerleader. So no I don’t think it…

Or she’s a woman with a strong sense of self, will, and her own goals, wants, and needs who wants to work collaboratively instead of being bossed around. I consider that to be a good woman. You shouldn’t be equating femininity with submission, women are more than your servants or slaves. Again, you’re looking into history for this “ideal” woman but also condemn the historical circumstances that forced women into those roles. You can’t have one without the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 05:04 PM
1

If you don’t disagree with them choosing, then why do you have disdain for those who choose not to? A woman should not submit unless she wants to, her voice should matter just as much as a man’s and I would suggest that a man who expects or wants submission is pretty weak if they need to stand over their wife to feel powerful.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 04:51 PM

You want them to choose to submit but you disagree with their choice not to? Then you don’t want them to have a choice and therefor want them forced. I am a student of history, which is why I bring up history, history you claim to not support and yet you want the same results which is a bridge you don’t seem to want to acknowledge you can’t have one without the other nor has there ever been one without the other. I think you might overestimate your skills and abilities. If a woman chooses not to submit, and is forced to anyway, which is what you seem to want, it is oppression and control. Agreed?

You seem to have your mind pretty set, but you also seem to have cognitive dissonance over the way you want women to act and the way women were treated when they acted according to your expectations. Men and women are different but that doesn’t mean that women should be controlled or oppressed, nor does it mean men should be controlled or oppressed. Women’s voices, wants, needs, dreams, goals, should carry equal weight and you seem to think that shouldn’t be the case. We’ll never see eye to eye,…

I think you don’t understand women or people in general. Most women prefer an equal partnership. If they want something different there’s nothing stopping them pursuing it, but if you recognize that today’s women are not submissive then doesn’t suggest they don’t want to be and therefore would not willingly do so? My wife and I are equals and it makes both of us happier.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:36 PM

Submission means yielding to the will of another, I.e. allowing yourself to be controlled. They have less agency and autonomy and are restricted in their rights, freedom, and even movement. All of that is a terrible way to expect of someone or even worse, treat someone. If you love someone you want for them what they want for themselves and do what you can to support them in doing so. Do you really want a relationship where you get to impose your will on someone?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:27 PM

Yet, you ascribe greater value and morals to historical societies that did all those practices. Both masculinity and femininity mean different things to different people. Do you mean masculinity as dominance and femininity as submissiveness? Because those stereotypes and roles are what justified large scale societal oppression, discrimination, and abuse that were prevalent in the historical societies you’re praising.

Historically women were discriminated against in education, politics, the workforce, and banking, and their husbands were allowed to beat and rape them with no consequences. They were also barred from owning property, and essentially were treated like chattel. Is that what you want?

I mean historically speaking men have had power over their wives in a non reciprocal fashion. For example the right to beat and rape their wives, control over all marital assets, and women have been imprisoned in the home. It seems like many men on this forum want that to return. Also while men have fought in wars, childbirth is dangerous and can be debilitating or lead to death, and was more likely to do so before modern medicine.

Facts are facts, and if you are as you claim to be then you treat her as if her voice doesn’t matter as you want the ability to impose your will over her.

I’m happily married, and if you believe you should have a hierarchy in your marriage you treat women as lesser, as they are lower than you. You get power and control.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 03:39 PM

Even your own graph shows divorce dropping and when you investigate based on demographics it’s older couples that divorce, boomers specifically, a great deal more. Probably because more egalitarian attitudes lead to women actually being treated as people. Your own source for Egypt showed women could have power, as does the Vikings source, the source on native Americans literally says “In addition to these duties, depending on the region, some women participated in political, economic and religio…

You’re one who said the man has the final say, which is in reality the only say, which means her voice has no power and no weight. You also have set it up so trust only flows one way.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 02:22 PM

Yes, I find the idea of women being treated as lesser beings to be problematic.

Is there a way that I can take this that doesn’t suggest you’re looking for a woman with low self esteem or who is easily manipulated?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 10:25 AM

How is wanting a relationship where you call all the shots not bossy? In your mind can a woman really trust and admire her partner without agreeing to a hierarchal relationship where her voice doesn’t matter as much?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 10:20 AM

Can you clarify how being submissive isn’t the same as being a doormat? Either way the man calls all the shots, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 10:16 AM

How is each getting their own when you want a relationship where you get the final decision over everything?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 10:14 AM
1

How is it one sided or biased when it’s true?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 09:55 AM

You wanting to have the final say on all decisions is unreasonable and controlling, right? Wouldn’t that make you bossy?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 09:55 AM

That’s silly, either is it’s a comforting lie women have to tell themselves because obviously it usually doesn’t work out like that or it’s saying the woman has to be servile to get anything she wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 09:53 AM

Seems like a distinction without a difference. Either way the man calls all the shots and the woman is just supposed to go along, right?

I mean it’s hard to have statistics for things that are allowed and no one cared about and given DV was allowed and the state didn’t care it can’t be measured. That also ignores the maternal mortality rate before modern medicine and rape was also a spoil of war for soldiers.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 07:50 PM

If he’s looking for someone submissive he’s looking for someone easily controlled. Looking for a masculine man doesn’t mean she’s looking for a controller.

Ancient Greek philosophers for the most part believed women were inferior to men and were fairly misogynistic, Aristotle and Plutarch for example. Socrates was better but his students didn’t seem to follow his views on women.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 07:44 PM

The burden of responsibility is irrelevant when the consequences are shared. Do you think a woman is comforted knowing he’s “responsible” when he blew all their money on some crypto scheme? Is she shielded in any way? No and no. Most people would rather have a hand on the wheel and most people would rather ruin their own lives than have their life ruined by someone else. It’s easier to deal with.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 07:40 PM

Agreed, but that doesn’t change what happened. Similarly most of the men on this sub have quite the victim complex because women have options that they didn’t have before meaning they don’t have to settle for them.

Agreed, which is why her voice should matter just as much in decision making.

So I’m just supposed to waste my time teaching you basic history? Rape wasn’t a war crime until after WWII and most wars from ancient times to modernity included mass rape. Pretty much all of European history aside from some insulated regions had men as authority figure over women, including Greece, Rome, through medieval times, until the late 1800s through early 1900s allowed DV by law. Eastern Europe was and is even worse. Russia just decriminalized domestic violence in 2017. Middle East speak…

Yes, they were allowed to beat them and it’s pretty universal, aside from a handful of places like pre Colombian America and pre-Christian Scandinavia. Yes, men fought wars and rape was the major spoil of war for soldiers. Women had babies which was also more common and probably claimed more women’s lives and health than war did men.

Wouldn’t a capable, confident, and successful mom be a great example for your daughters? She can still be pleasant to be around even if she isn’t a doormat, unless you’re saying the man would be a terrible father for having his own opinions and making his own decisions? Why does she need to let her husband make important decisions when she can make them too? They affect her just as much in most scenarios. Is what she wants, needs, or thinks not important?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 06:27 PM

Men were almost always allowed to beat their wives and while men have been oppressed it’s never been just because they were men which can’t be said for gendered oppression against women.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 06:23 PM
6

If you want a submissive partner you want someone who will go along with your decisions even when they’re against them, right? Aka you want to control them. That’s sinister. I’m an egalitarian.

The attractive successful man then would be looking for someone they can control, right?

Feminism rose about because of the way men treated women. I think domestic violence being illegal, women being allowed to own property, and women not being discriminated against in education/the workforce/politics are all massive improvements.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 05:56 PM

It seems like they have become your enemy because they told you the truth. Femininity generally subordinates women to men, aka submission, meaning they get controlled and bossed around by men. No one’s sayings it’s a conspiracy but it’s quite clear when we look to countries that don’t care about domestic violence and other forms of gendered abuse and oppression, like Russia and the Middle East, that femininity is basically a survival mechanism women engage in by basically being servile they won’…

Wrong, divorce has been dropping as a percentage of married couples, not just as a percentage of the population. Also boomers are more likely to get divorced as compared to generation X and millennials which suggests its couples that were raised in pre-second wave feminism that have the worst marriage health. 51% means you can overrule the other person in any and every situation, just the same as 100%. Neither percentage has to care or listen to the party with less power as they get the final say and can just ram any course of action down the other’s throat. Trad relationships are hierarchal, men have the power and control, women submit, ergo the woman doesn’t get an equal say in her own life. That’s by default abusive as the man gets power and the woman is just along for the ride. If that’s what an adult woman who is aware of all her options chooses that’s her call, but if you raise a daughter in that she believes it’s her only option you are setting her up to be someone’s plaything, which you’ve already said you would tell your daughter she’ll end…

The final say is the only say. 51% is the same as 100% power in a two party system. In my marriage no one has a final say by rule, generally we’re on the same page about everything but if there’s disagreement whoever is effect more usually gets the final call. Your jawline is not a lifestyle. Obviously. Similarly you’re a 21 year old kid and already married, so why are you so worried about your appearance? Dominant means you dominate the other person, which is to control them. Equal say means your shared life is developed via agreement and compromise instead of one person imposing their will and one person being expected to give in or be “submissive”.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/23 07:17 PM

Healthy is subjective but if you enjoy it, that’s your call. The healthiest relationships generally have mutual love and respect, without hierarchy but every person should be free to live as they choose, as long as they’re not being pressured or indoctrinated like how conservatives usually do to get women into relationships like this. Out of curiosity how is there any distinction between first mate and just being on the bottom when there’s only two of you?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/23 06:53 PM

Domination, exploitation, abuse, and oppression are all in the same category of behavior that puts yourself before others, which is the same thing. A “dominant man” is one who wants a relationship in which he has total control which does make him an abuser, at least emotionally and financially often physically as well. Making important decisions in regards to your wife’s opinion means nothing if she doesn’t have an equal say and you can steamroll her. I’ve found that most men who think this way …

Sure, but what we generally owe other people is, at the bare minimum, to not rape or kill them. In war it is often kill or be killed so it can be justified in defense of yourself or others, whereas there’s never a justification for rape.

Not to everyone, similarly many of the rape victims were little girls who would suffer lifelong disabilities as a result, and those of childbearing age were forced to carry their rapists child, many were also kidnapped for sexual slavery. Personally I’d rather die, but YMMV.

I mean in trad relationships most of the time the dad decides everything for the girl and then sells her to her husband, who then decides everything for her.

I’m not sure what this is trying to communicate. If you’re asking whether using the internet is a priority, then I would say it’s more of a necessity and the source of most information and entertainment.

I’m pointing out that as a “traditionally feminine” woman she both doesn’t have a safety net in terms of her own income and is usually expected to be submissive, meaning he gets to impose his will on her i.e. she’s more easily controlled and exploited. Whether he takes advantage or not doesn’t change that she’s in the position I described and that’s what he’s looking for. That being said, if you look at cultures that hold to these values abuse is a huge issue. 1 in 4 couples who describe themsel…

feminism isn’t just about securing new rights but also working to maintain rights women have gained through feminism. Similarly feminism also provides advocacy against domestic violence and sexual assault which of course is all positive. Half this country voted for a 26 time accused sexual predator rather enthusiastically, so it’s clear these issues are still not where they should be. I think a lot of men are upset that women don’t have to settle for them because the alternative is starving to d…

Age and maturity aren’t scaled 1:1 to but there’s absolutely a relationship between the two, and life experience often leads to wisdom, again not 1:1 but it still leads to learning, and more often adjustments in life practices. I agree that everyone can be taken advantage of, including by people of their same age but it’s less likely given they generally stand on similar ground. I also agree with your point on trauma as abuse often leads to personality changes, such as becoming more deferential …

I think both are likely predatory with the latter being more predatory, the former might have more extenuating circumstances but it’s still weird for someone who’s about to graduate college to be dating someone about to graduate high school. I agree and I hope more sympathy is shown to male abuse victims. It’s sad how many men think it’s an honor as opposed to sexual predation, and of course the women who do it should be in jail.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 03:28 PM

Poor decisions in that someone is being taken advantage of. A healthy relationship is one based on mutual love and respect, with neither using advantages to exploit the other. Having much more maturity and life experience navigating the adult world allows older men or women to take advantage of the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 03:23 PM

People can make poor decisions when they don’t have all the facts or are lacking in life experience, for example the manosphere men get taken advantage of a lot because people play into their biases to make money off of them.

Any age gap will be deemed predatory? that’s an exaggeration obviously. A couple years difference in your 20’s is obviously a lot different than an 18 year old dating someone in their 30’s. I mean it’s not perfect but the age/2+7 gives a pretty good result of whether a relationship is predatory. That said, I’m really sorry about what you went through, and also find it disgusting.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:46 AM

I don’t do any of that, I just have a wife I love and a comfortable middle class existence. The church and previous generations’ values often exploited, abused, or oppressed women. I don’t blame them for wanting a job that allows them to support themselves as opposed to relying on someone else who could use that for leverage.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 04:33 AM

Do you think maybe it’s the church that might be the problem? A lot of churches instill unhealthy values for both men and women especially when they push hierarchal relationships.

it was culturally accepted norms, like coverture where women ceased being legal entities as they were considered an appendage of their husband. Facts are facts.

Wives were expected to obedient to their husbands, thus denied agency, freedom, and opportunity, they were also supposed to not deny their husbands sexually, which in an era before birth control meant lots of children. Lol. Let’s try it in reverse. The hate for patriarchy is more than justified, they promote domestic violence, oppression, sexual exploitation, marital rape, coverture (let me know if you need a definition for this one), the removal of women’s voices, votes, educational and vocational opportunities, they are slaving wife beating rapists. Patriarchal men are the source of all evil and are religious zealots with an appetite for causing hurt and pain.

You seem to have a rather vindictive view of women and instead of trying to fix what’s wrong with you, you just want to strip women of any say in their own life. Your ideology has failed and we have the entirety of human history as well as many places in the present to show it only leads to abuse and oppression. Chaos is preferable to order built by stepping on someone’s neck. Somehow I think women probably would rather chance it then be sex trafficked by their father.

So your answer needs to justify why it’s important to sustain the population and why it’s more important than women’s freedom. The system itself is abusive so I do blame the system, though obviously the people are to blame as well. Slavery is also an abusive system for example, though the two are essentially the same. You realize immigrants do adopt our culture for the most part, the girls and women see the freedom they’re entitled to and go for it. What’s the point of sustaining the population if half of it is treated as subhuman? It’s certainly not for their benefit.

First, one must keep in mind pre-dating and early dating someone will generally try to demonstrate the best version of themselves. So saying they want “agreeableness” must mean they actually want a doormat. Second, How is wanting an equal partnership acting like you’re single? It just means you want an equal say in your shared lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/23 11:51 AM

The relationship is their shared lives. Controlling the relationship is controlling the woman. If he decides they’re moving, he’s moving all of her not just her in the relationship. Relationships work best when one person can’t impose their will on the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/23 06:47 PM

Male domination and control are foundational to trad relationships. The husbands gets all the power in the relationship, that’s a huge red flag.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/23 06:19 PM

The problem you’re ignoring is that he’ll like men like him and men like him are ones that are likely the biggest red flag. Hence the emphasis on a relationship where he gets to steamroll his daughter’s mother.

Blue pill doesn’t have a philosophy. It’s just saying we aren’t like you in this debate sub. In real life there’s no terms for defining someone as not being part of a hate group in other contexts. Yeah, feminism wasn’t vindictive though it does and did have grievances. I think denying women equal opportunities, not taking domestic violence seriously, and marital rape being legal all were and are worthy causes. That you have a problem with that sounds like a you issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/23 11:43 PM

Trad relationships are super rare, yes, but those that exist are by definition male dominated. If men have the final say, women have no power to speak of.

Trad relationships usually have women being domestic servants, barred from working or independence of any kind, while also being totally dependent on their husbands who have all the power in the relationship. So it sounds like slavery to me.

A power imbalance literally creates more opportunities for abuse ergo more abuse will occur where there is a power imbalance. Egalitarianism works in marriage, it’s literally two people, it’s not a country where a simple conversation isn’t a feasible way to set an agenda. No, it sounds like you are the one who must always show self control and he gets to do whatever he wants. You didn’t come to an agreement, he just railroaded you. That’s disrespectful and treating your opinion as worthless. Do you think your father issues have led to broader issues now?

I’m not saying to test your relationship, just pointing out that you’re allowed to not be perfect, especially if he’s not. Disrespect isn’t just spite. It’s treating you like your opinion doesn’t matter or that you being adamantly against something is something he can just ignore. Did you have a good relationship with your father?

Yes, but he can control how he responds to your mistakes and if he’s not showing you the same courtesy you show him then clearly you’re not being treated fairly or even all that well. He went against your judgment on something you were adamant about. That’s entirely disrespectful even if he thinks it’s best. Most arguments are about what both people think is best, it doesn’t give one the right to impose their will on the other. Hope he likes you with both arms and legs because if he thinks it’s …

Speaking as a married man who had a lot of success dating and hooking up before marriage, I never felt this way. You may have felt this way, but don’t universalize it. Most of my success came from humor and emotional intelligence.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/22 01:00 AM

I’m weak, not particularly masculine, and not particularly good looking, I’m married happily and also managed to do well with women prior to meeting my wife. If some men don’t like the modern world, that sucks for them I guess, but I don’t see treating women like chattel as the solution. Women can do what they want, men can do what they want. Good looking people have always had an advantage, and the less thirsty have always had an advantage over the more thirsty. It’s just life.

The curse outlined in genesis impacts not only their environment but their behavior, hence they themselves are also cursed. Similarly you go on to say the curse impacts them in that they die, hence they, again, are also cursed. The burden of proof is on you to prove that the curse is both real and causes death. Death is just a natural part of life, to claim it relates to some sort of cosmic consequence or that the only reason anyone can or would die is a crazy claim and requires very strong evid…

You seem to not be understanding what I’m saying, which makes sense, because if you had any logic you wouldn’t be making the argument you were. My point isn’t that historically women were treated well or that in modern times women are treated completely equally, my point is that historically speaking in several key civilizations women were treated better than Ancient Israel, early and middle age Christianity, or modern Christianity. Hence my point Christianity is actually regressive and that the…

Trump got bent over, the Jan 6 rioters are just insane. Much of the Steele Dossier has been corroborated. My point was that even some ancient societies treated women better than modern Christianity or Islam. I’m pointing out modern egalitarian societies because there shouldn’t be matriarchy or patriarchy, everyone should be treated equally. It’s only as societies have become more secular that women have been treated better. The more religious a society the worse they’re treated.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/22 11:39 AM

Those rioters were pissed off by injustices, similarly I am too like patriarchy aka male supremacy. While true matriarchy is pretty rare, there are plenty of examples of societies that are far more just both historically and in modernity. Ancient Sumer, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Scandinavia, etc are all far more just than ancient Israel, any country that has been run based on Christian ideals, or any modern theocratic state. America isn’t perfect, but it’s greatly improved over a time where men cou…

No, the Quran is generally interpreted to give male priority in all decisions, and women need a male guardian but men do not need a guardian once they’re an adult. Similarly the Quran gives men several steps to deal with a wife who is not in complete submission to their dictatorship and the third step is hitting them.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 04:09 PM

Many of the rioters on Jan 6 believe Trump was sent by their god so it is a form of religious extremism. In most first world countries women have the right to free choice in regards to most things including abortion it’s only in theocracy that they are treated like chattel. Not all religions are patriarchal and most have left religion behind in favor of treating women like full people.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 04:07 PM

Yeah, I’m sure the 12 year old girls being honor killed because they we won’t marry a 60 year old man are feeling that way.

You might be universalizing your own experience. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean all women don’t. I mean there’s a reason women have pushed for their own rights, their own freedom, and their own opportunities. Look at the Middle East, most women appear to not be having a good time.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 11:26 AM

Depression is up in general and happiness can’t really be objectively measured. Similarly more men kill themselves than women, and that’s true in all first world countries, but if you look at male dominated countries like the Middle East, it’s the reverse. Almost like treating women like chattel makes them even more miserable. Men used to be able to beat their wives without consequences, make medical decisions for their wives without their consent including institutionalizing them, rape them wit…

Religious extremism is on the uptick. While the great majority of Christians haven’t bombed abortion clinics I’m pretty sure it is an exclusively Christian activity. Many Christians believe in male headship/patriarchy where men get priority in decision making and women do not have the same level of freedom as men. Hence being treated like children.

Any blue state republican would end their career voting to ban abortion, they won’t meet the 50 needed. While it’s true we’re becoming increasingly polarized it’s only because of increasing extremist in republicans. It’s mostly started with Reagan, and brought us here. Once they brought the extremists into the fold, it’s pretty much a straight line to the regular right wing terrorism we’re seeing like the Jan 6 riot.

Sexually dominant women exist, admittedly I’ve never been with one, but a sexual desire doesn’t really determine what relationship style you want. Most women I meet want an equal say in their own lives.

Women are treated like property in Islam would probably be a better way to put it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 08:21 PM

Islam has a hierarchy of the sexes and women are at the bottom of that hierarchy. Women can’t leave the house without permission, must be obedient to their husbands, and their husbands can hit them under certain circumstances. Women also have more restrictions on them and their dress. Similarly women are often blamed for their own sexual assault hence why prosecution for rape is lower.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 05:31 PM

I consider getting pregnant to be a potentially self inflicted problem and abortion to be a solution to that problem. Obviously many precautions can fail even if safe sex is practiced so how much it is “self-inflicted” varies, but I don’t see why we should help someone who broke their bones driving recklessly but not someone who is pregnant and doesn’t want to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/21 07:00 PM

No, just that those who suffer obesity but it’s from a thyroid issue shouldn’t be grouped in with those who are more self inflicted. Point being is we offer healthcare to all those people, so why not abortion to those who wish not to be pregnant?

If you’re incompatible so be it, but to suggest this is frigid or some sort of lack of attraction when it’s been made clear that she didn’t enjoy the experience is just you being insecure that someone has had your current partner in a way that you haven’t, and thinking they have some sort of victory over you in that you haven’t been ab…

Men are essentially choosing the power imbalance though, whereas the previous power imbalance was forced upon women. If you’re religious and believe in gender roles, generally there’s a hierarchy and men are considered head of household and get priority in decision making through an emphasis on women’s submission. Ergo women are subservient.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/21 01:05 AM

And those roles are worse for women, obviously. They place them in a subservient position. If adult women accept these roles with no coercion or indoctrination that’s fine. That said, religious groups trying to impose their roles on secular society must be opposed for obvious reasons.

I think it’s more a perception than a reality. I think it just means that in traditional relationships women have been treated by doormats and they now refuse to be.

You said they’re the minority. “Strong and independent” generally just means they won’t be reliant on a man I.e. emotional resilience, earning life sustaining income, being an equal at the table in terms of decision making, not be a homemaker or SAHM due to the position it could cause in terms of dependence hence “independent”.

Don’t you think it’s odd, that many people tell you all the time that they have equal relationships and you keep telling them they’re the weirdos? Maybe it’s the hierarchal marriages that are the weirdos because they’re more concerned with who makes the decisions instead of making sure both people feel heard?

I think it’s more that even just narrowing by age greatly reduces the population. Which isn’t really picky by most definitions.

I agree that we’ve achieved it for the most part, the problem is a a large number of men who might like to see this clock turned back. I agree that women who want a more traditional role should have that open to them, assuming they’re not pressured into the choice by religion or upbringing. I will read the book. I enjoy researching this topic. All in all, yes sure, there were times when women could not do what they can today, in those times neither could men. That’s not true, the sexes were hier…

“Western society” has had very wide variances between times, countries, and cultural values. Scandinavian countries were actually very good in terms of women’s rights pre-Christianization. I’m not sure where you would start “the west” but we would probably agree Greece was the first great western civilization. They allowed voting for men and not women. It varied from city state to city state, Athens was not great and barred women from just about everything including education and most careers, S…

I understand your position, I was just trying to show you it was wrong. For example historically there have been societies where a husband suffered no consequences for killing his wife, but a wife would or could be killed for adultery. Whereas a husband could have as many sexual partners as he pleased. If women were requesting equal rights or opportunity and it was denied them, doesn’t that imply oppression? I’ll certainly give that book a look. I don’t think modern men should be punished for th…

I think you’re ignoring almost all of history to suggest that women haven’t historically been oppressed. Women have been denied equal rights, freedom, and opportunities for almost as long as humans have existed in organized society. Women were denied education, careers, nor were they granted agency or autonomy that men were granted. In many societies wife beating was considered a husband’s right (Russia just decriminalized DV in 2017) and crimes committed by by outsiders were considered crimes a…

I’m saying that if she’s working at the home at the same time you’re working at “work” then it’s already an even split. Historically women have been considered property of their husbands, to do with as they saw fit, women have been excluded from the public sphere, they’ve been denied equal rights, freedom, and denied pretty much any opportunity including educational and vocational. They’ve been denied the vote, treated as less intelligent, violence against them from an outsider was treated as cr…

Several’s definition is “more than two but not many.” I’ve never been cocky. Just very funny. Before I met my wife, I had one LTR, several STRs and a couple ONSs. Also I was the other man a few times. Since college it’s just been my wife as we made our progression from exclusive to married. We don’t have kids, nor do we want them.

I don’t have a nice guy perception of anything, i understand women are people and many suck. I’m saying that you’re comparing what you do in the house to extra work on your part instead of part of your fair share. Hence why you said “I have done my duties”. If you have kids that are home during the day then she almost definitely has. Like I’ve said, it’s about choice, if she has options to do…

We’re coming up on 9 years. We both value each other’s input and neither of us seek to impose our will on the other. We have a very happy relationship and active sex life.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 11:34 PM
1

I don’t believe either gender should lead. My wife and I are egalitarian and we have both a happy marriage and an active sex life. I understand you find it attractive, but I don’t think it’s a man/woman thing, I think most people would prefer to have a greater share of the power in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:40 PM
2

If she’s rearing children, she’s not not working while you’re at wherever pays the bills. She’s also doing housework and preparing food for when you get home. She also might be working other projects. So by ranking your hierarchically in the sense that your work is the one that pays the bills, it’s not egalitarian. I do believe in always thanking your partner whenever they do anything for you regardless of relationship style. No one should feel entitled.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 10:36 PM

Nonsense as in the husband using his position for selfish reasons or even outright abusive ones. Since the wife is totally reliant on him for monetary resources she isn’t in a position where she could get out safely or assert herself. As far as your children, if they end up following these values but it just ends up clipping their wings, then it does often irreparable harm. Often in homeschooling children don’t even know their options because they’re not given the full picture.

Think about your first date with any prospective partner. You probably portrayed yourself slightly differently than you would present yourself to anyone else. Then slowly you reveal some of your less desirable characteristics, but you’ve already won them over so they deal. Now if someone is wrangling kids all day, they might expect a break when their partner gets home, and their partner might expect a break from doing things when they get home. You’re attributing higher value to the outside labo…

No I brought it up because fundamental culture differences don’t take women’s safety as seriously and submission is one way to help aid in staying safety. I’m pointing out one way male dominated relationships are enforced and showing the similarities between what you want and women by they have it there.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 04:08 PM
3

Right, but if you’re truly looking for a lifelong relationship a woman in this position is vulnerable for her entire life in a way a man is not. The man or woman you married will go through many changes and not always for the better.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 04:00 PM
3

That’s fair, I didn’t read it. A traditional couple can’t be egalitarian, as there’s a fundamental power imbalance that can be and often is exploited. She can make that personal choice, but it puts her in more danger than dual income household where she doesn’t have to put up with nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:35 PM

Russia literally decriminalized DV in 2017. Submission therefor is a survival strategy. In the west women are treated as equals and violence against them is taken seriously. Why would any woman be submissive when their voice and ideas are given equal weight win men’s? If you want a submissive woman that’s fine, it just doesn’t seem to want what’s best for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:32 PM
6

I’m confused. I thought you were arguing in favor of an egalitarian relationship? 30 k in five years is not that great and can be blown pretty easily if it hits the fans. Plus it would mean putting up with injustice for 5 years just to get that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:28 PM
5

Perhaps, but a part time job generally doesn’t pay life sustaining money. If you can’t pay rent or cover childcare costs and must rely on someone else then your standards have to drop. I’m not saying that an egalitarian husband or wife can’t say or do something hurtful, I’m saying a wife that’s more dependent would be forced to put up with more if things went that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:21 PM
1

What is submission other than letting someone else’s will supersede your own? Also you called me a clown out of nowhere and called me feminine with no prompting so maybe work on yourself too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:08 PM
6

I think the problem is that you get one generation of choice in this, then you teach your children it and they’re generally expected to follow even if it doesn’t work for them. I think you have an equal distribution of labor, but in terms of money you’re completely dependent which makes you have to put up with nonsense you might otherwise not.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 03:07 PM

I think you’re just romanticizing a culture you’re unfamiliar with. If you just want a woman who does you whatever you want with no thoughts of her own, why not get a sex doll?

Russia decriminalized domestic abuse if it doesn’t cause great bodily harm. Hence why women there have to be submissive, otherwise they get beaten.

This is such a sad outlook. If it comes from experience I’m sorry. I’ve been with my wife for almost 9 years and we introduce new stuff all the time, even today. Not a chad by any means. We’re just happy. Not being your mommy doesn’t mean you don’t get emotional support, it just means you don’t treat her like your mother, I.e. a one side does all the work in terms of chores and emotional support.

It’s far more often than I exercise, so yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 10:37 PM
1

I don’t know if you’re actually dumb. Again, some people like my best friend exercise 5 days a week. Others twice. I would consider either regularly. Some people exercise everyday. Which is why would ask for clarification if I actually wanted to know, and given my partner is the closest person to me, I’d want to get even more specific.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 09:18 PM
1

I don’t know, I’d probably ask for clarification. Which is what the contract seeks to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 08:35 PM
2

Regular can mean once a day or once a week. It could mean anything and the point is to define your expectations. I realize part of the red pill stuff is to hide everything and be as deceptive as possible, but sometimes just saying what you want is helpful.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 07:03 PM
1

I think not everyone has as much of a one-track mind as you perhaps
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 06:49 PM
1

Right, but how regular is regular? That’s the point, to talk and find out.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 05:07 PM
1

This is assuming every man wants the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 04:28 PM
1

If she has a low libido, doesn’t get off in the same way he does, or just doesn’t want to have sex all the time for whatever reason, then that’s her prerogative. It can also be the inverse, where a woman has a higher drive than he does. Again, it’s about what each wants to do and whether the other is in agreement. I think trying to play mind games to get people to have sex when they don’t want to is unethical.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 03:29 AM
1

So what is your solution to radically different goals and needs?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 03:22 AM
5

Which isn’t what this is doing. This is saying what you’re willing to do and not do. If she’s not down to bone every 3 hours, he’ll know it then. If that’s what he needs, then they go their separate ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 03:08 AM
6

Because when you make the agreement they have to both agree to something. If a man has a high drive and wants it very often, then he communicates that and the woman understands his wants/needs. If she is or is not okay with that, it’s communicated right there as well and the man understands her wants/needs. either they both agree on something either because they already had the same wants/needs or they have compromised, or they realize that they’re not compatible. It’s just stopping an argument …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 02:15 AM
4

I think everyone wants sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 02:01 AM
7

I don’t think you understand what was said. It’s about communication between an existing couple and setting goals and expectations. Which is what communication is. Basically it takes a disorganized process of revealing yourself and needs and makes it more organized allowing the person to hear what you think you need to make a relationship work. I still think it’s a silly idea, but you’re not understanding what’s being said.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/21 01:57 AM
2

I think you deserve to be heard, trust is earned. Just like I think you deserve not be killed, but that doesn’t mean you deserve to have exactly what you want out of life. I think you deserve to be able to chart your own path but that doesn’t mean you’re going to succeed. I think much of your issues with women may stem from your poor relationship with your mother. I’m sorry if you had it rough growing up with a bad mom.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 06:42 AM
2

Constant and repeated exclamation points make me think you’re becoming overly emotional. Everyone deserves the right to self determination. No one should have to allow someone else to impose their will on them. You do seem quite bitter.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 06:22 AM
3

She has to be your sex mommy where she takes care of you, does all the housework, and has to pretend to be attracted to you. My point is that shit never hits the fan and that I’m sure most would rather deal with the shit than be in abusive relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 06:00 AM
2

I’m pointing out that women have an ability greater than what you can offer in terms of physical strength. Should the strongest guy in the world be able to rob you with no consequences?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:59 AM
3

And you are your wife’s responsibility as she must be your slave and yet I bet she does mostly everything for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:50 AM
4

Children outgrow the need for their parents’ guidance. You believe women should be under their husband’s thumb for life.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:43 AM
3

To the best of my knowledge no one is allowed to assault anyone. Women are physically weaker but can produce children which I think more than makes up for it, similarly average intelligence is roughly the same. Also given your writing style I don’t know that you’re in the top tier of intelligence either. A stronger man isn’t allowed to rob you. You seem to be saying he should be able to.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:42 AM
6

Equals doesn’t mean same, women have abilities men don’t even come close to and I don’t see that as a reason for women to control men either. You give women the responsibility of being completely obedient to their husband with no say in their own lives. That’s actual slavery and is an abusive tyranny.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:39 AM
3

I think you’re mistaking protection for control. One can physically protect their wife without her being his puppet that has no agency and is a passenger in her own life.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:06 AM
2

I believe everyone deserves an equal say in their own life. You seem to be setting up some sort of protection racket. “If you don’t give complete control over your life to me, some bad man is going to come and take complete control of your life.” Sounds like either way a bad man has complete control and the only way to win is not play. Egalitarianism leads to happy and healthier marriages. Also I’m a dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 05:04 AM
4

That’s just silly. A woman has the ability for life to produced and nurtured within her. Nothing a man can do can even come close to that. Do you now feel women should be leading the relationship? I’m guessing no. Both give their all to a marriage while fully loving and respecting the other and neither should seek to impose their will on the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 04:29 AM
5

I don’t think they’re the same, far from it. I just think that women deserve an equal say in their own lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 04:15 AM
5

In other words, there’s no need for a wife to have her agency limited in a way a man’s is not. A man should not be able to impose his will on his wife nor should she expected to submit to decisions she is adamantly against. Just because men are physically stronger and can use that to protect doesn’t justify them having total control over the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/21 03:51 AM
4

There is a reason children need their parents, they’re not fully developed and wouldn’t be able to navigate the world, take care of themselves, and most would die because they would choose ice cream for dinner forever. The same can not be said for women, they’re full adults of sound mind and yet their husbands have authority over them and can veto/overrule them on any every decision they may want to make. I think most women would rather their husbands respect them enough to treat them like an eq…

That is literally what most relationships are. I think you’re mistaken and may be deceiving yourself. You are assuming to much about people you do not know. Prostitution is a huge validation and ego boost for men. They can go get rejected and remember that they slept with someone just as attractive yesterday. Boosting his confidence and validating him. How does paying for sex boost confidence? He’s not wanted or validated. He had the right amount of currency to perform a financial transaction fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 09:24 PM

Assuming it’s not a “Total Recall” type scenario where the man has memories altered or ideas implanted I don’t see how a machine can validate someone’s need to feel wanted. I agree it will be popular and maybe even commonplace but I don’t see a man being satisfied with something or someone who has no choice but to “love” him.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/21 09:20 PM

Your comparison seems a little off given only one of us is proselytizing here. I don’t worship anything, except maybe the Green Bay Packers and Coen Brother’s movies, I try to look at most things objectively. I look at all life on a bell curve, kind of like our comparative claims, where there’s one end that’s really good, one end that’s really bad, and the majority somewhere in the middle. We can apply that scale to humans generally or women specifically, since that’s what you seem to want to fo…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 02:42 PM

I don’t have to worship pussy to realize 99.9% of rape claims are not made up. On the other hand you must hate women to think your opinion is even in the same zip code as true. It speaks to a rare level of bitterness that distorts reality for you at even the most basic level. Hate women all you want, clownshoes. Hate women all you want.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/21 07:32 PM

Because spending all your time with children can make you feel incredibly isolated on top of actually being isolated because you don’t leave the house. You’re also dependent on your husband and you have little recourse if he doesn’t treat you well and he also gets to make all the decisions because he’s breadwinner. So all in all, pretty bad.

The way I see it is statistically half of all people are worse than average. Sometimes we get winged by the people who fall below that average. People see patterns where they want to see them but I’ve been hurt equally by men and women but the best person I ever met is my wife so I guess women come out ahead on those who have helped me. At the end of the day people are just people. Some suck, some rock, most fall somewhere in between.

For most of human history the two sexes worked side by side doing similar work and only with the industrial revolution did the spheres of work and home become separate. While the data doesn’t really exist for how many men beat their wives we also know for most of human history it was accepted or even encouraged. Spousal rape wasn’t against the law very recently either. Coverture, or the idea that married women couldn’t own property, was also the dominant policy and all her property became his at…

I mean before the industrial revolution men and women traditionally worked together in a family business, usually farming, and yet had hierarchal roles. It’s only after the industrial revolution that men worked separately from their spouses and the home and work life became separate spheres. Originally I would say Darwinism as they were bigger and stronger and later religion played a pretty large role that reinforced traditional gender roles such as male leadership and female submission. I’m actually my wife’s only partner ever. We met in high school. You celebrate Roosh who probably has a triple digit count but that doesn’t matter because he’s a man.
/r/RPChristians15/08/20 02:04 AM

You believe the wife should be obedient to her husband and submit to his will and decisions even if she completely disagrees. You offer her no recourse and consider her rebellious and selfish for having her own ideas.
/r/RPChristians15/08/20 02:04 AM
-2

You’re the one interpreting it to create a system of marital slavery.
/r/RPChristians15/08/20 01:36 AM
0

Right exactly, you don’t care about God or his vision only yourself.
/r/RPChristians15/08/20 01:28 AM

Weird that Trump lies almost non-stop but you guys eat that shit up with a knife and fork
/r/PussyPassDenied03/07/20 06:20 PM
1

He was involved in a lot of shady shit. You want to assume it’s her based on the word of an actual crazy person.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/20 03:36 AM
1

I think you should be lifting her up and building her self esteem until she realizes she’s just as capable of decision making.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 05:55 PM
1

Why are you worthy of any of that? As someone looking for a submissive partner you seem like you’re unwilling to work towards compromise and creating a good home moreso you seem to be looking for someone who will fit under your thumb
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 05:34 PM
1

So controlling someone. Thank you
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 05:31 PM
1

“In here” do you mean your home country? Because except for religious people who believe in antiquated social values I don’t know why any woman would want to be “lead” (read: controlled.)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 04:52 PM
1

where does this leadership nonsense come from? Most just want a life partner. You shouldn’t let what others think drive you it makes you a sad little man if you weren’t already. If your grandma said that I’d she’s been looking for the opportunity to do so for quite some time and is just grateful that you gave her one regardless of what the reason was.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:55 PM
2

So you’re driven by insecurity? You’re concerned what others would think of you as a man more so than you care about your partner and their feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:44 PM
1

So why don’t you take her last name is your concern is the family unit?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:38 PM
2

Why would she want anything other than your love, and maybe children, as a marriage partner? Seems like you’re looking for a person you can push around.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:37 PM
6

Well, Scruff McGruff, what body language perception training have you gone through? Also the need for evidence that she didn’t do it is the literal opposite of what America requires in its legal system. The body, record, and cause of demise is up to the state to prove and provide not vice-versa.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 04:40 AM
5

In a modern context the relationship is an equal relationship where both people provide their best to the other. In a historical context the name was a signification that the wife had come under the protection and control of the husband. In the newer (equal) definition of marriage making someone take your names seems like it’s just to provide security to men who are unwilling to do the same for their partner. I don’t see how you’re compromising at all by requiring she take your name?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 04:35 AM
5

Isn’t picking you to spend her life with a decision in its own right and one you each need to prove is the correct choice? The name seems like an extra step for your security that provides her no benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 04:11 AM
3

How does it help build “an amazing and loving relationship”?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 04:00 AM
6

Seems you want to show your independence/dominance by having her take your last name. No reason why it can’t go either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:59 AM
6

I don’t know if I’ve seen a more “scraping the bottom of the barrel” gotcha question. OJ got away with murder actually. Carol Baskin has been accused by Joe Exotic. That you’re taking him seriously kind of proves the point you’re trying to disprove with your question.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:57 AM
6

Preservation of norms is not a justification. You’d think if you loved someone your need to brand them with your last name should not be a top priority.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:50 AM
3

You said you’d have to explain to everyone you’re not a giant vagina which says to me you’re insecure if the reason you want her to change her name is what other people think about you as a person and/or sex organ. I doubt people forget they’ve changed their name since it’s their name. Kind of a big deal. I can see the value in having the same last name but why haven’t you considered changing your own name? I imagine it goes back to your insecurities of what people would see you as less of a man…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:45 AM
6

you have to do literally nothing to your own name and she has to change her last name which she has defined herself by her whole life. You’re giving a large ask and returning nothing to her
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:39 AM
6

your minor irritation or fear is worth someone changing their name? Redefining themselves literally when you don’t have to do the same or anything close
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:28 AM
6

So you’re driven by fear?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:16 AM
4

So insecurity drives your need to have her change her name?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:15 AM
7

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:14 AM
6

Lol. Then why don’t you take her last name?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/20 03:03 AM
3

How many male comics talk about their dicks in most of their humor. I’ve watched four specials in the last week and they had something about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/20 09:24 PM

I personally think she’s saying that to get desperate more interested in her and then buy her products.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/20 09:07 PM
2

Because they’re trying to get attention for going their own way as a substitute for the female attention they claim to no longer need.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/20 12:16 AM
1

That’s my point, you bring up women not choosing dangerous jobs like it is some sort of refutation of some point when really it’s men and women both making choices. Equality is about choice and opportunity.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/19 12:44 AM
2

So because men voluntarily choose dangerous work women are somehow at fault?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/19 12:17 AM
1

And you pretend you’re better than all that but then pull the same shit you pretend they do. It’s pathetic.
/r/MGTOW31/08/19 11:25 PM

Look at all you snowflakes offended by an ad lol.
/r/MGTOW31/08/19 09:33 PM

Men have always had more rights than women. They were head of household and could beat and even kill women under their “care” with impunity. Look back on cucking stools, scold’s bridals, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/19 11:24 AM
4

And men gave them to themselves without giving them to women for millenia so that kind of proves the point
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/19 10:07 PM
1

I think it’s you making excuses for a text you want to believe is true. There’s many a verse that imply female subordination and the fact that Jesus is the head of man as man is the head of women implies clear subordination. Almost all Christian’s agree on these verses. You also skipped Timothy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 06:08 PM
2

Subordinate has a pretty clear meaning there is no connotation being placed there that isn’t already in the text or taught by most of the church. Also “man is the head of woman” in Cor 11:3 reinforces it and 1 Tim 2:12 also speaks of women being unfit for leadership.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 05:44 PM
1

Subordinate yourself under and obey are synonymous IMO. Would you like to clarify otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 05:35 PM
3

It does.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 01:59 AM
4

I know I meant you had nothing of value to say and were incapable of debate
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 01:58 AM
7

Only have to go back 409 years for the last living example proves my point
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 01:28 AM
8

Exactly what I expected
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/19 01:26 AM
5

No you didn’t, you changed the subject and gave an invalid example as the children are usually not unwilling participants in being with their mom but human trafficking victims are always unwilling. I guess this is the kind of answers I should expect from MGTOW.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 06:37 PM
1

So you don’t trust people without property to vote because you think they’ll use it to abuse others but you implicitly trust property holders to not abuse others, even though most people used abuse to obtain property in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 06:34 PM
5

Lol, hamstering.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 06:31 PM

I’m a dude. I’m just looking for red pill hamstering which I’m seeing a ton of.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 06:30 PM

Is there any evidence men and women commit child murder at similar rates?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 06:28 PM

Except the voters can vote for their own interests to keep “net negatives” from owning land.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 03:49 PM

Lol skipping the parts where it says women have to obey their husbands?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/19 03:48 PM

Resources should be shared equally and deadly weapons should require both spouses approval. Sounds fair to me. The man shouldn’t be infantilizing his wife which he would be if he was in charge of finances.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 07:30 PM
1

No it doesn't. Finances should be shared as that is the most important resource. Annie Oakley seemed to know what she was doing. What country?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 06:19 PM
2

Sounds like you're not a very respectful or empathetic person.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 06:17 PM

So a deadly weapon needs both spouses permission to be in a home makes sense to me. Especially when men kill far more often than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 04:56 PM
2

Because laws like coverture codified male supremacy. Raising small children is not easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 04:22 PM

I agree 100%
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 04:21 PM

The deeply patriarchal sects of christianity like the SBC believe fathers have total control over the family. Some even refuse to send women to college because they don't need it to be be a broodmare.

Until recently that was not the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 02:38 PM

Yet men got all the power and often abused it. Women could still get fired for being pregnant until 1980, my grandmother needed her husband's permission to get a driver's license, and men could have their own solo accounts and could keep it from their spouses.

A common opinion is feminism looks down at SAHM/W and I’m saying husbands always did that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 02:17 AM

Yeah if he loves her he’d treat her as an equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 02:12 AM

They are dependent because they are being asked to do work for no pay. I’m talking about how men treated SAHM before feminism so you’re pretty much proving my point. They weren’t respected then either when dad didn’t do anything and were isolated.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 02:10 AM

it took a radical a societal shift in order to make that happen.

No. If he gets power over her she’s better off just getting a career so she doesn’t have to be treated as a slave-child.

The safety she needs is usually from other men. So if she has a gun she has no need for your protection?

To provide for the family, same as the man.

Yes it does. Otherwise it’s patronizing.

So once we developed the indoors women ceased having to worry about bears. Clearly people didn’t like the way it was and therefor it needed to change.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 01:44 AM
5

Raising children is real work. Being bored can lead to depression and the husband getting total control over anything can make them incredibly unhappy. Doing a 9-5 doesn’t suck if you like your job. She also answers to her husband as opposed to being treated as equal. It comes off as incredibly patronizing when you say things like “We want women to stay home because we care about them”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/19 01:39 AM
2

Because then you don’t value them as an equal adult who is making sacrifices for the family.

My wife was a Virgin when we met but I had quite a few partners before hand she’s never asked for an actual number and I’ve never brought it up. I feel like no one should judge anyone that has a similar partner count. If she was in a committed relationship should she not be allowed to have passionate sex? I think this points to a pretty deep insecurity on your part and it’s your issue not hers.

he said he will live and he was clearly in the middle of a mental breakdown, I can't judge. Idk he can check out later if he wants but it seems she's really supportive. My first instincts would probably be to run away and hide for the rest of my life if I wasn't already married because its asking a lot from a partner to deal with the mental and physical issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 06:43 PM

I agree but it seems its not the lack of penis but the loss of his identity and that his fiancé won't love him the same and that he will be made into a social outcast and laughing stock.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 06:36 PM

he really pours it out though. Everything he's feeling. I was certainly engrossed but how else do you expect a guy to feel about losing his junk?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 06:34 PM

It seems like he apologized and begged her forgiveness. I'm not saying I would give up but I certainly understand his fears. He had a fiancé which means he wants to spend his life with her and likely had the whole thing planned out before this. He's afraid of people finding out and that he won't be enough for his fiancé anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 06:32 PM

I agree in most cases but he seems like he's really hung up on the idea that he will be a social outcast and never feel the same again. I can't imagine the isolation he must feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 06:29 PM

Idk the guy probably has never felt so vulnerable and I can't imagine much worse other brain damage or loss of child.

His reasoning seems to be that he doesn't have to suffer it and feel like a freak or whatever. I'm not saying you're not wrong but it seems like living death vs death
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/19 05:17 PM
1

Idk. the dude clearly didn't know what he was walking into but I'm guessing he was asking what sort of parting gift or something he could give her not being told to live a life doesn't want.

The comments tear him apart. His follow up post also lists some specific comments that were pretty rude imo. Idk I just feel for the guy since he feels obligated to stay alive for someone he thinks will despise him shortly. He changes his mind but doesn't feel good about it. They were saying submission means the woman must be trapped in the home and completely dependent on the man with him making her every decision but somehow still making her feel valued. When someone said that would never make them want to submit they responded : The fact that your acting upon your natural submission is contingent upon your feelings shows the need for the man to enhance your natural submission by removing the obstacles to your truly submitting.

You first made a straw man of feminism then you accused me of strawmanning for understanding their words exactly as they said them, which said that for submission to be real you had to trap a woman in the home and make completely dependent on you with no choices in their life, later they explained explicitly they endorsed it, by saying they wanted a traditional relationship I.e. man in total control and woman submitting. Stop projecting.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/19 01:44 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/19 12:25 AM

To have a truly submissive woman, you must strip her down of all options to leave by denying her employment, setting boundaries as to who she can associate with to avoid negative influences, and making her feel valued all at the same time. It's a tall order. This was part of the comment that started this thread and you scrolled past that to deal with someone responding to that.

you’re describing subjugation not submission. Not that I support either.

I think you’re redefining the term hate to limit it’s definition. It’s not that RP are the KKK of women hate. It’s that they stereotype and have a prejudice against women. That’s a form of hatred. It’s not like incel shoot and kill a ton of women but that isn’t the only type of hate. Many also want to limit women’s roles and abilities to be far less than that of men. In most people’s eyes that’s hate. even slavemasters didn’t necessarily hate slaves, just as long as they stayed slaves. It’s when…

Ad Homs are not an argument lmao. Your passive aggressive insults are the reason no women will touch you. You didn’t even deliver any good insults you didn’t smack anyone’s ass you just made an ass of yourself. You didn’t even deal with with the actual issues probably because you don’t see an issue with sexual assault.
/r/MensRights24/01/19 09:30 PM

You in another world: "Yeah Mr. Officer, how can you arrest someone for kidnapping, you're doing the same thing he did!"
/r/MensRights24/01/19 05:34 PM

You clearly expect your sister to grin and bear it when she was sexually assaulted. A dude tried to take her clothes off without permission in public and you think he only deserved a talking to. You clearly have some sort of complex about women that you need to work through.
/r/MensRights24/01/19 03:19 AM
0

I’m actually a man. I’m just disgusted by you and your attitude. The way you acted like what he did is no big deal when that’s your sister. Try and tell me you don’t have as big of a double standard as even the most hypocritical feminist?
/r/MensRights23/01/19 11:05 PM

You refuse to hold men accountable like the one who sexually assaulted your sister.
/r/MensRights23/01/19 09:05 PM

So he tried to strip your sister against her will in a public setting and you think he deserves compassion? Sounds like someone doesn’t give a fuck about their sister. Will you feel this way when he steps up his SA game and your sister could’ve done something to stop him earlier?

MGTOW are incels who think if they pretend to reject women at the same time as women actually reject them the “tie goes to the runner” rule applies.

Lmao. I love MGTOW fantasy stories.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/19 02:29 PM

The definition of submissive you Gave is the red pill dream. As far as St. Paul times back then women could be killed by their husbands and were property. I don’t think you’re right.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/18 01:15 AM
1

Lol you can’t appeal to history. Women were property/sex slaves for quite some time. They had no rights.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/18 12:52 AM

Libertarianism is a pipe dream as much as communism. Both require people to not be shitty and as you probably know they are. I do not oppose guns and I want all drugs legalized. As long as doctors are required to save lives everyone should have insurance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/18 08:50 PM

And I would think you as a libertarian would disagree with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/18 11:12 PM

Freedom is more valuable. You will never know the life you actually want with someone else playing gatekeeper to all your dreams and deserves

/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/18 08:58 PM

it means they took on the responsibility of another humans actions. If your dog escapes and bites a kid. That is your responsibility and you pay the price. So if your women did something that was deemed wrong by society at large, The man would be punished as the women was his responsibility. Can you not see how this is dehumanizing if not infantilizing?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/18 08:57 PM

And they faced much more negative discrimination as they were essentially considered their husband’s child and had to do whatever he said, he owned her property after marriage and she couldn’t own her own, he could abuse her in just about anyway he saw fit.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/18 08:52 PM

The situation she’s describing is not a micro aggression that’s actual discrimination.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/18 08:51 PM

No I’m anti-one side having power over another. You aren’t so I guess that makes you a feminist?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/18 01:17 AM
1

I know that relationships that give one side power over the other are more likely to be abusive or unhealthy than ones where both partners are equal
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/18 12:53 AM
1

See the people who say this say that when one side is completely degrading the other, so it’s hard to take that seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/18 10:31 PM

>Why would men consider a traditionally feminine woman inferior? she is high value and she would be doing her part as a wife and mother correct? If she sacrifices part of her freedoms to our family. Why would I consider her my inferior and not my partner? Because you're expecting her to give up part of her freedoms and be submissive whereas you get all the power.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/18 11:55 PM

Partners should be equal. The fact that wives having as much say and influence as their husbands is controversial shows how backwards traditional values are.

Because the expectation are painted as a good thing and propagated by other men. There is toxic femininity but it’s generally more about being helpless, or pretending to be dumb in order to not intimidate men etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/18 02:50 PM
0

The societal expectations of men is the base of toxic masculinity. The idea that men should be stoic and not express emotions aside from anger and aggression etc. and use violence instead of talking things out. Can all those things be used at the gym or something? Sure but it’s the expectation that they not express emotions & “boys don’t cry” that is toxic.

You do realize just because there is not a large demand for something doesn’t mean there’s no demand all? Just because one degree is not very important doesn’t mean you should disregard all forms of education. I mean on the right you have M. Div. degrees and other useless shit like jobs that are going the way of the dinosaur like coal mining and what not.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/18 01:13 PM

Debt free is a euphemism for didn’t go to college. Meaning they want an uneducated woman they can more easily manipulate. This stuff falls more into Christian complementarianism and their awful treatment of women rather than the red pill which isn’t looking to get married.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/18 01:07 PM
1

If someone says they were just mugged or faced some other form of criminal behavior 99% of the time I’m going to believe them. I’m against false accusations as well but I’m not going to be a prick to victim. I’ll let the courts decide as is their job. I’m fine with men backing away too just the men who are backing away won’t shut up about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/18 01:30 AM
1

While legal due process should presume innocence until proven guilty, the public will form opinions and work places have to protect their employees and if they don’t act on these accusations and they’re proven to be true they can lose millions in law suits. The current work climate is more due the behavior of some men than some women and your choice not mention that as well as some of your other comments makes me wonder if you have some sort of bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/18 11:15 PM

Yeah when 14 women say the same thing that tends to happen. I think you’re just whining for whining’s sake given your comment history.

Aziz got off fine. CK was making improper sexual advances.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/18 04:28 PM

But if you’re the third party investigator why are you asking for my conclusion? Semantics aside, the term date rape exists for a reason, as does the whole escalation of sexual advances, making out can be fine but then he goes to escalate and she says “No.” then he doesn’t take that no for an answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/18 02:06 PM

Is he forcing the making out upon her or are they making out? If it’s exactly as you said then obviously when they started making out.

I think confidence is key. Most who are non empathetic have natural confidence because they don’t care about others’ feelings and that can include misogyny. There’s still plenty of men who are confident and don’t treat women like crap.

He like Rollo, Roosh, etc are just good at telling men what they want to hear. Most of these people are bitter and angry and he feeds them more stuff to be bitter and angry about. They’re unified in their hatred of women and it helps them from hating themselves so much. He claims to be Christian, which is slightly different but he lacks the decency Christians are supposed to show their neighbors and although I’m not a Christian I think Matthew 7:15 would call his Christianity into question.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/18 08:49 PM

I find most blue pills (myself included) don’t deny that people (that’s men and women) lose value. It’s that red pillers believe only women do or women lose more value that’s disagreed with.

I’m male. I think they should change their name to men ruminating about women from a distance or MRAWFAD. If these were men actually going their own way I’d not care one way or the other. Did you actually bring up Freudian psych as proof that psych beliefs are not holding up to snuff? Because Freud hasn’t been anything other than a historical figure in psych for half a century. Might as well attack phrenology while you’re at it. Evo psych is almost entirely “you know what sort of sounds like it makes sense?” It’s mostly unfalsifiable claims. I am not literally doing that. Your experience does not account for everyone's experience. I never stated any bullying was at all acceptable. The red pill is based entirely on personal experiences with 1 in 3.5 billion people. It also seems to encourage bullying your partner. So kind of hypocritical.

Evo psych is largely bs though.

Toxic masculinity = Male gender roles and enforcement thereof. These roles are traditionally policed by other men. Boys don’t cry/dance/cook/etc “Dude don’t be such a pussy/girl etc” Making a man feel bad about himself for taking paternity leave Telling athletes to keep playing with obvious injuries All of this added Up is “maintain frame”

Sexist and misogynistic, absolutely.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/17 07:16 PM

And I said that it's really easy to ask for affirmative consent and pick up on social cues. If it's that tough then you need to pack it up because asking a question vs potentially committing a felony seems like a no brainer.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/17 03:57 PM

If you can't ask if your partner wants to have sex then you shouldn't be having sex to begin with. No exceptions as you say.

Or she did freeze up. There's plenty of ways to tell if she's actually into it. If a girl being wet or a guy being hard is all you need for consent then i guess any guy with a random erection is fair game to either sex? There are plenty of cues during interactions leading up to sex and if you're not shooting a load in your pants because a g…

How can you not tell if your partner is into it? Seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/17 02:33 PM

Anyone who upvoted that chart is an idiot. 90% of red pillers are people who never left high school behind and want to brag to their friends about getting laid. They lose that with a sex bot and therefor lose the benefits. If anything these will reveal that they never wanted "just sex" to begin with they wanted companionship which these bots can't provide.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/17 02:15 PM
1

If certain men weren't so thirsty, there wouldn't be a "market place distortion" although even if that were the case the red pillers would still find something about women to whine about.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/17 06:42 PM

I see conflict has the potential to be everywhere but if you see your relationship as a conflict then you've fucked up royally. He obviously saw his relationship as a conflict and that ended as one would expect. I love my wife and if I saw our relationship as a conflict we would not be together. Red pill is all about winning and losing, taking pride in getting one up on our partner means you're a shitty partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/17 06:39 PM

I was just pointing out this guy said other shit that is more anti red pill than this was pro red pill. Even still with this other quote he still says more in favor of actually having mature adult relationships than the red pill would ever be comfortable with.

Coming from the people who claim AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/17 05:45 PM

This guy also says that we must love without holding back regardless of our fear of being hurt, your quote vaguely moves towards red pill, his other quote is completely what you would call blue pill and others would call normal. edit: someone here beat me to the quote but here it is: "There is no intensity of love or feeling that does not involve the risk of crippling hurt. It is a duty to take this risk, to love and feel without defense or reserve.”"
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/17 02:10 PM

Purple pill means you're red and embarrassed by it or think there's some validity to the red pill either way partly red. You clearly didn't read the comments otherwise the response would be justified by any sane person.

The data is biased. The three worst comments he felt the need to link one is in response to "bitches deserve to die" a highly upvoted threat by mgtow and one is sarcasticly repeating a phrase seen in the linked thread and the third is just a woman claiming that she being happy is enough to trigger all the incels. So no the data is not neutral.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/17 12:47 PM
1

Just because they're cowards doesn't mean they're not a hate group. Why have you yet to respond to the fact that the "hateful" comments you linked the first one one is sarcastic and the second is in response to a post declaring "bitches deserve to die?"
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/17 11:43 AM
1

I know the red pill often has a problem with subtext and nuance but the comments you've linked include satire "what chucks they are" is making fun of incels in the link post calling various woman's boyfriends " cucks" and the "calling them psychopaths is in response to a very upvoted post claiming "bitches deserve to die" and everyone agreeing and circle jerking.is that the same as "10 ways to make a woman have sex when she doesn't want to?"
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 09:56 PM

The red pill hates women that don't "know their place". The kkk hates minorities that don't "know their place." The red pill is a choice being a woman is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 09:44 PM

I know it's not what you meant. I was making fun. The red pill/kkk hate people based on people's unchosen characteristics gender/race etc. being red pill/kkk is a choice. You don't have to be a hate monger but choose to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/17 09:36 PM

Exactly, the rational hatred of those that oppose the kkk is not comparable to the hatred the kkk feels towards minorities. Similarly the rational hatred the blue pill feels towards red pills is not the same as the hate red pill feels towards women.

Don't eat shit. I'm already here doing pretty well. Bodily autonomy is a good reason to rid yourself of unwanted invaders. Men and women are equal, not the same, but equal. They deserve equal say and control of the relationship and family.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 11:22 PM

Safety net programs that keep children from going hungry and support an education will always be valuable imo. If the kid's going to starve why not abort? Children are great. Women are adults and deserve control over their own lives and equal say in their relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 10:49 PM

You didn't respond to any of my points. Treating women as children and subordinate or degrading. But as far as your comment: Preventing unwanted children is in everyone's best interest. And with the way conservatives cut funding for programs that aid children I'd say they're more anti child once it's in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 10:28 PM
7

Because women are adults with adult thought, feelings, and capabilities. Red pills belittle women by claiming they're incapable of being adults. I'm sure there are liberals who hate children but not because they're liberal. Submission and subordination is degrading in an romantic relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/17 09:12 PM

Lmao sorry did I trigger you? Julian said: “In Tokyo, if you’re a white male, you can do what you want. I’m just romping through the streets, just grabbing girls’ heads, just like, head, pfft on the d***.” And also "Dear girls, could you please save me the effort and roofie your own drink?” And described his teachings as "It’s Offensive, It’s Inappropriate, It’s Emotionally Scarring, BUT IT’S DAMN EFFECTIVE.” Knowing he's hurting these young women but not caring. He says grab a stranger around the waste as a greeting, aka being a creep sex predator. I know you want to believe your heroes aren't horrible people but alas it is so. Julien also talks about roofying and choking girls and i know you want to believe they're joking but it falls apart after critical thinking. I linked a video where your hero says exactly what I said after you said that wasn't the case. I'm sure your mom loved her big boy and is so proud even with his many mental difficulties. Enjoy being a creep. That wasn't even the first rape scandal to plague rsd ever heard of Julian Blanc? If being authentic and honest was all you needed then I guess blue pill and Disney was all you needed all along, glad to see your change of heart.

I do know what all of this shit is. The red pill/Pua is all about emotional manipulation and being a misogynist. I think you're just engaging in hero worship and I'm sorry that I broke the image of your hero by exposing you to his disgusting behavior.

Claiming women have violent sexual fantasies is what then? Yeah ...but not against their will. Being physical that early on takes a lot of empathy based calibration but you can certainly do it. It's also 100% legal. So go cry about that to your congressman. He literally says in his video to do that as your first move of interaction to a complete stranger so obviously you're not actually reviewing the material. This might help https://youtu.be/QuKWH8x7_oM The point of that story is how much women…

not what they want. Sales of 50 shades were record breaking for a reason. Women want male dominance. The male lead in 50 shades is literally obsessed with the protagonist. That's something red pillers always skip when they bring up novels like this.

Are you one of the odd birds? Since you're going off about how all women want to be raped and are all submissive? Which obviously isn't true. Not to mention cook also advises grabbing complete strangers (women) and pulling them in like a fucking creep/rapist. He also said this "Say you've got a tribe, and there's this fucking lion that's come and eaten five or six members of your tribe... Everyone's scared of the scary cat. Lol. Nope I just subscribe to the idea that women are people, I also don't look to exploit other people which helps make you a part of helping your partner live out their fantasies since it requires a great deal of trust because of both their fear of judgement("you're into what?!) and logistics ("now that you're naked in the woods I'm going to run away with your clothes"/"now that you're tied up I might as well leave you here"). Assuming all women are into something because some people are into a specific type of porn is ridiculous. He doesn't even differentiate the types of porn, light spanking and sexual assault are under the same category in this guys categories. I know you want to believe all women are into rape fantasies because you have rape fantasies but I assure you that, like most red pill beliefs, simply isn't true.

many people (men & women) have fantasies they never intend to live out through whether due to embarrassment, logistics, risks involved etc. to base an entire world view off the idea that someone's porn search history is laughable. We love women, so they're wrong. Only when they're subservient doormats who give in to all of your desires and keep their mouths shut. Ah, "Confidence". Confidence is just a buzzword women use to refer to alpha traits they like in men. "Being confident" without RP context is creep territory. It's not even confidence that men need most of the time. Except as RP will tell you, women don't want a doormat to fuck them. They have rape fantasies and want a big scary man to bend them over and have them. They want an asshole, a douchebag who is selfish and popular. Women are not wonderful, they're products of millions of years of evolution, and are optimized for reproduction in caveman times. See this stuff is why most people assume red pills are all misogynistic basement dwellers. They want confident men who aren't doormats, sure, but they don't…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/17 02:59 AM

I'm sure most women are disgusted by almost all of the red pill no matter how flowery the language. Putting lipstick on a pig so to speak. All of the practices are pretty misogynistic and douchey.

It's all based on what I've read and seen. The red pill is basically Mecca for misogyny I don't think it can be seen any other way. Any relationship can work if both people work together. When you treat it as a competition all of your victories are their losses and I never want my wife to lose, I guess that's the biggest difference between you and I.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/17 06:36 PM

It depends on what of the ever changing definition of red pill they subscribe to. Not being a pushover? Great! Physical fitness? Awesome! Putting care in your appearance? Right on! All the stuff you'd find in any book about self improvement, getting what you want, and dating that isn't exclusive to the red pill in any way is fine. It's the negging, dread, amused mastery, pushing past lmr, pressuring women into sex/a type of sex they don't want, women are children, women are evil, women are evil …

It literally says to act like you might invest. I get that you want to pretend you aren't horrible people but with articles like that and how to force someone to get an abortion when they don't want to etc and the celebration of the dark triad it's gonna be a tough sell. I get it, 1. Find an emotionally damaged girl 2. Be a douche 3. Get laid (?). It's not complicated.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/17 07:18 PM
2

Pretending you might invest so you can get laid, even if you have no intention of it is immoral. As is everything else the red pill advises. Sesame Street is more advanced than red pill and sends a better message. At least it says treat my people with dignity and respect as opposed to treat women like shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/17 07:07 PM

The entire article is called how to not invest. It's pretending to be invested so she'll let him bone.

And when she starts to emotionally invest, make her feel like you MIGHT emotionally invest too (but not as much as her).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/17 06:39 PM

And of course, escalate sexually. Paradoxically, it is possible to escalate sexually and not appear emotionally invested. In fact, a lot of women (especially damaged ones) are looking for emotionless sex. You must touch her, you must turn the conversation sexual, you must do “seductive” things like look into her eyes and whisper in her ear, etc… And you must confidently take the lead in the conversation and the situation in general, leading her from place to place, getting intimate with her, etc…

Men, (who, in some cases didn't even read material properly) apply trp to their existing relationship/marriage and it fails. Question is, if their relationships were good, why did those men seek out TRP in the first place? In those cases, men were already unfulfilled and felt underappreciated in those relationships, why do you see it as bad thing if they end? Probably because these men were morons and as easily manip…

I've read each. The red pill is filled with sexism and misogyny. "How to pressure women in abortions they don't want" "how to get your woman to try sex she doesn't feel comfortable doing" "how to make her say yes when she's saying no" "how to make her emotionally invested in you when you have no emotional investment in her" "women are children" "women are hypergamous Machiavellian manipulator social chameleons and yet also somehow children"

I get that your wife still needs a parent, mine doesn't. We make decisions as team. Just because you feel it's okay to move to Zimbabwe without her knowledge or consent doesn't mean that's how real relationships should act. Also we're intimate all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/17 08:55 PM

I am open with my wife, if one of us had to travel I could certainly say I miss you with out a field manual. I tell her things all the time. I don't need to without emotional intimacy to have a successful relationship, that's the reason real relationships work in the first place. Or the constant emotional abuse red pillers hurl at women. I did. It's all about putting fear in her heart that you'll leave/have options aka making her insecure.
