There is a difference between thinking you are a plane and pretending you are a plane. "That" is fine. It can refer to times and places. "Which" and "when" would also have been fine. "Where" would have been the inappropriate word to use. Had you been right, though, the error would have been one of syntax, not grammar.

This reminds me of all those feminist talks, meetings, and dialogues that MRAs try to drown out with shouting, intimidation, false fire alarms (which is like pretty illegal at least here in the states, I think) while simultaneously trying to conceal their actions from the people at large.
