My only experience with women lusting like that has been women that I’ve been involved with. But I do believe that most women will act that way with men that they’re really attracted to, so I won’t settle for anything less.

Tbh I can’t change or know what a woman is thinking internally, but I know for sure that I won’t settle for anything less than “good looking Chad” treatment. That means she must initiate sex a reasonable amount of times, compliment me, lust after me, etc. She may not see me as a Chad but she better treat me like one or else I’m out.

You: You’re allergic to women liking anything and having the ability to choose Me: Women can like and choose what they want, but I can choose to not date women who have a certain perspective
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 04:35 PM

It's like you're just allergic to women liking anything or having ability to choose. False. Women can like what they like and choose what they like. But men have the right to not want to be seen as the “safety and stability guy” after a woman spends years chasing the guys that she was truly attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 04:28 PM
5

And yet it's still exclusively men who get flak for their n-count preferences. "Women are wonderful" effect in full motion, again. This is what kills me. Certain people on this sub say absolutely nothing when it comes to women’s preferences about a person’s sexual history, but have all the smoke for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 04:25 PM
5

That’s your subjective opinion though. If sexual history doesn’t matter then one should be okay with dating a virgin. You can’t have it both ways.

I don’t use statistics to justify my preference. High N women just give me the ick, and that’s all the justification I need.

Why “deal” with it when you could just not date people who trigger your “insecurity”?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:55 PM

“Men who care about N count are insecure!” Let’s grant that this is true for the sake of argument, what does it matter? Literally everyone has insecurities. It seems like a non-issue.

It’s not “feeling” lied to, it is being lied to. I’m sure it’s not an easy decision, but I’m not faulting a guy for bailing in that situation. Every time you look at the kid, you’ll be reminded of the betrayal.

Men take care of other men’s kids all the time. That’s how a man should be. You can’t get over your pride and continue to love this little girl who doesn’t deserve what you are doing to her. Also you’re possibly setting her up for failure in her dating life and what she looks for in a man when she’s older. If a man is low N himself, why would it make him insecure to want a woman with a similar level of experience, or a woman who shares the same mentality about sex?

There’s no need to shame low-N men either 🤷🏽‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 05:52 PM

You pick apart my comment but say nothing about the poster clearly insinuating that high-N men were superior to low-N men, and you and I both know you’d reply defending high-N women if a male poster had made that same comment. Only in LTR, I’ve only dated with the goal of marriage.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 03:04 PM
6

Your argument falls flat because a man can experiment and still self-ID as straight.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:55 PM
3

I never implied that all women are hypocrites. I’m specifically talking about straight women who judge men for having sex with other men in the past, while calling men who care about a woman’s past partner count insecure. There’s women in this very thread who justify not dating bisexual men while bashing men who care about body count.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:50 PM
4

Yeah right. We both know why you avoided the question, and why you glossed past it when I first replied to you. But moving on, you give weight to “values” and “shared experiences” when it comes to straight women rejecting men who have had sex with men in the past, but you don’t give this same pass to men who care about body count. Why? What if a man hasn’t had much sex, or only values sex in a relationship, and wants a similar woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:47 PM
7

You didn’t. You strategically avoided it, because you know what the implications are.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:37 PM
3

Why are you avoiding the question?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:32 PM
4

Do you believe that trans women are women?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:31 PM
5

Exactly! Special pleading, just like I said. I’m still waiting for someone to come up with an argument that justifies this without engaging in special pleading. Still have yet to see one.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:29 PM
3

I agree with you. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy on this topic. Either sexual past matters or it doesn’t. If it matters when a man is uncomfortable with a woman’s body count, then it matters when a woman rejects a guy for experimenting with men in the past, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:25 PM
8

Yes, but a man could have experimented once and never did anything with men again after. Or he could’ve slept with trans women. The man could still identify as straight despite these things. A woman rejecting a man for experimenting in the past or sleeping with trans women is literally rejecting a man for his sexual past.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:24 PM
4

So it’s valid for straight women to reject men for having slept with men in the past, but a man rejecting a woman for having slept with too many men in the past is worthy of criticism? I have yet to see an argument for this that doesn’t rely on the special pleading fallacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:07 PM
2

Yeah, right. Those comments clearly insinuate that you wouldn’t date a bisexual man, and now you’re backtracking on your own statements. I’m not engaging with you anymore after this, but anyone who sees our comments here will clearly see this 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/25 02:19 AM

“I like straight men. But there’s other people who like bisexual men.” doesn’t imply that you don’t like bisexual men? <image> How about this? “It’s a no for me, dawg” 🤣 You going to keep lying?

I’m sure you’re not going to work for shits and giggles. Technically everyone who has a job is making a choice to work, but having a steady income is a pretty important thing in this society. Big difference between that and voluntarily engaging with people on the internet.

You can debate without wanting to change someone's mind. And let's be real here: this isn't debate, we're just mocking each other. I’ve had people in these threads debate me about N count preference, and I’ve seen the inverse as well, so debate does go on. And I have a public-facing career. It's very easy for me to talk to people I give zero fucks about lol Yeah, but you have to work to make a living for yourself. Constantly posting in a thread about N counts with guys that you seem to look down…

/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/25 03:08 PM

I disagree. Using this logic, I’m “transphobic” as I would never date or have sex with a trans-woman. I don’t believe that people are obligated to be fair or non-discriminatory in their dating life. It literally hurts no one.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/25 02:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 05:11 PM

I believed in the idea that women did value personality over looks, and that you could win a woman over even if she wasn’t attracted to you at first. Now I screen for instant attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 05:10 PM
5

Good actually. I now know what to look out for and to screen for genuine desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 02:30 PM

Yes, but before RP I wasn’t aware of things like AF/BB or women settling for guys that they aren’t really attracted to for stability or resources.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 02:27 PM

RP taught me about AF/BB and screening for genuine attraction vs. someone only being into me for resources or stability.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 02:27 PM

That’s awesome
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 02:14 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 02:13 PM

There’s something attractive about a woman knowing that she has options but still being exclusive about who she sleeps with. This is one of the reasons why I find low-N women so attractive.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 04:35 PM
2

“Who says that a hypothetical low-N woman wouldn’t want a low-N man?” is the same thing as saying that all low-N women want a low-N man? 🤣 What a brain dead take.

That applies to any woman
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 03:10 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 03:04 PM

None of that means that a guy paid for sex. A guy could be pro sex work and still have never paid for sex. Rich, handsome athletes have paid for sex before. There’s no way to know unless someone admits it. To imply otherwise is laughable on its face
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 03:01 PM
2

Luckily, it's pretty obvious when a guy has history with sex workers. Unless the man was forthcoming about this, there’d be no way to know this with 100% accuracy.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 02:53 PM
1

I agree, you probably shouldn’t mention it unless directly asked. But my point is that if it’s stupid for men to care about N count since you won’t be able to truly know (you’re just taking her word for it), then it’s also stupid for women to care about the things that I mentioned. The same logic applies.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 02:42 PM
4

Well I’ve debated with women in these threads who think that men are insecure for caring about a woman’s sexual past, yet think it’s okay for women to care about men’s sexual past in these instances. Please explain that to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 02:31 PM
6

“N count preference is dumb because the person could just lie.” Does this also apply to women who wouldn’t date a guy who has paid for sex in the past, or who has slept with other men in the past? Because after all, the man could just lie.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 02:27 PM

2

“My preferences are okay and yours aren’t”
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 04:43 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 04:40 PM

Lol what are you talking about? The thread is almost unanimously sympathizing with the wife. Hell, the comments that point out that she deceived him got downvoted.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:54 PM

The same thing that would be said if it was flipped and a man had lied for years about something serious to his wife. Emphasis on the fact that he was deceived? And he’s not the bad guy if he decides to nope out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:51 PM

Literally one sentence in that comment pertains to the husband, and the rest of it is sympathizing with the wife.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:47 PM

More empathy for the husband for the fact that he was deceived about a major issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:40 PM

What are you expecting an endless line of comments saying to leave her?? that’s the only alternative btw and also it’s a very sad and complex situation If a man had lied to his partner for years about a serious issue that basically robbed their partner of an informed decision, I doubt the comments would be as sympathetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:34 PM
1

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:20 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/Marriage/s/PLjcuHyZde I’m convinced that there isn’t anything that redditors won’t defend women for. This woman lied about her ability to have children to her husband, and most comments are defending her and implying that the husband is the bad guy if he nopes out.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:08 PM
2

But you’re not proving any point. Dating preferences and standards don’t have to be logical.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 09:12 PM
2

Okay, let’s say that the standard is illogical. So what? What place does logic have in the world of dating preferences and attraction?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 08:14 PM

Let me get this straight. You admit that a woman's sexual past has no bearing on her character. It's not something you can see either, so it's not a physical issue. Yet a woman who's slept with 5 men over the course of her life is unsettling to you for no logical reason? Since when do dating preferences/standards have to be logical? Also, you realize that you're casting judgement on their behavior when you call them unsettling? This isn't like saying that fat girls are unsettling because they're…

It just is. I’d just rather date someone with a low count. And not wanting to date someone isn’t casting judgement on them.

If someone had sex with someone of the same sex in the past, but now identifies as straight, you have no right to tell them that they aren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 04:11 PM
3

Sorry to break it to you, but you can’t define someone’s sexuality for them, nor are you the arbiter of who’s truly straight or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 04:08 PM
3

No it’s not. A man could’ve had sex with another man or men in the past and not be bisexual. A man could’ve had sex with another man in the past one time while going through an experimental phase, realized that it wasn’t for him, and go back to dating woman. If that man considered himself straight and a straight woman would reject him for his past activities, that’s not a rejection for his sexual orientation, it’s for the fact that he had sex with another man in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 04:03 PM
2

Women who have that preference need to stop being insecure, dick-obsessed weirdos and stop worrying about the past. He’s with you now! Stop being insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 03:53 PM

Men who care about number of sexual partners are insecure dick obsessed weirdos. Cool, so are women who won’t date men who have had sex with men in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 03:50 PM

I agree with you. I’m just pointing out hypocrisy. There’s women in this thread who stated that they wouldn’t date a man who had sexual relations with other men in the past, but call men insecure for caring about a woman’s past sexual history. That’s hypocrisy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:57 PM
1

Anyone who reads this will see that you clearly lost this debate and now you’re grasping at straws and changing the topic. I don’t really care to go back and forth anymore so I’m done with this for now.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:54 PM
1

So you can choose to identify as Gay even if you aren’t? I want you to think about that Yes you can, because anyone can identify as any sexual orientation. There’s no litmus test for sexual orientation identification. But why would someone identify as gay if they weren’t? And why are you shifting the argument to semantics? My point still stands. If caring about someone’s past sexual history makes someone insecure, then straight women who won’t date men who have had sexual relations with other me…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:47 PM
1

What? I never said sexuality was a choice. The sexual orientation that you identify with is your choice, and someone can absolutely have an experimental phase, decide that they are actually heterosexual, and identify as such.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:40 PM
1

And I’ll say it again: it has nothing to do with past and everything to do with straight dating straight. Or do you think shed go “oh he’s bisexual but didn’t have sex with a guy. That’s straight then” A man could’ve tried sex with another man, realized that he didn’t like it, and resumed dating and having sex with women, while considering himself straight. Many women would still be turned off by the fact that he had sex with a man, despite the fact that he identifies as straight. That is litera…

I’ll say it once again, sexual past either matters or it doesn’t. If “He/she is with YOU now, so the past doesn’t matter” applies to men who care about N counts, it should also apply to straight women who don’t want to be with men who previously had relations with men. Anything else is hypocrisy. “Straight wants to date straight” is special pleading. https://www.logicallyfallacious.com/logicalfallacies/Special-Pleading
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:26 PM
1

Are you unable to debate in good faith? That is a blatant misrepresentation of my argument, and anyone reading our back and forth can clearly see it. Once again, my point is that to call men insecure for caring about a woman’s sexual past, but then excusing straight women for not wanting to date men who have had sex with other men in the past, is hypocritical. And to excuse it by saying “They’re straight women, of course they don’t want to date men who have had sex with other men in the past!” i…

2

I never had to experiment. Never crossed my mind. I’m guessing I’m not the outlier. Me either. Most guys don’t, but our experiences aren’t universal. Are we surprised that straight women are more into guys who have been set in their sexuality as long as they have? I’m not sure that this is the reasoning. I think a lot of women are icked out by a man having sexual experiences with another man. It’s perceived as feminine. Once again “straight only dating straight” is not the gotcha RPs think it is…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 02:00 PM
1

A man who experimented once, but has only engaged in hetero relations ever since isn’t straight? Even if he identifies as such?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 01:46 PM

It does have something to do with the sexual past. Many straight women want nothing to do with a man who slept with other men in the past. A man could’ve experimented with men, realized that he wasn’t into it, and only have sex with women after. That same man could consider himself straight and some straight women would still be icked out by the fact that he’s been with men before. If you’re going to say “Stop being insecure, that’s the past! Get over it!” when it comes to men with an N count pr…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 01:39 PM

Dude, where did you get that from? The hypocrisy is saying that sexual past doesn’t matter when it comes to men who care about N counts, but then moving the goalposts when it comes to things like straight women not wanting to date men who slept with other men in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 01:32 PM

I’m okay with straight women refusing to date bisexual men, and I’m also okay with gay men choosing to only date other gay men. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy. Either sexual past matters or it doesn’t. Either caring about sexual past is insecure or it isn’t. Anything else is special pleading.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 01:26 PM

So you agree that sexual past matters? Because if a man is insecure for caring about a woman’s sexual history “She’s with you now, who cares how many men she slept with before!”, then so is a woman for caring if a man has slept with other men in the past. He’s with you now so what’s the issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 01:18 PM

Either someone’s sexual past matters or it doesn’t. I hope you’re okay with men having an N count preference if you’re okay with women not wanting to be with men who slept with other men in the past.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 12:07 PM

Y'all aren't making the point you think with this gotcha. Yes, we are. If a woman’s past is irrelevant when it comes to N count, then so is a man’s.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 03:21 AM

If caring about a woman’s sexual past makes you insecure, then women who would dump a guy upon learning that he slept with other men in the past are insecure
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 12:55 AM

Exactly! Or what if the guy is bi and recognizes that he feels attraction to men, but has never acted on it and only dated women?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/25 12:03 AM

This is what I’m saying. Either caring about someone’s sexual past is insecure/stupid/insert insult or it isn’t. If a man experimented with men in the past, but is now committed to a woman, the woman shouldn’t care, and “the past is the past” advocates should call her out the same way they would if a man found out that a woman’s body count was higher than what he originally thought and he wanted to leave her.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/25 11:53 PM

Ideally, you’d want to be seen as both. A woman calling you hookup material is a huge compliment because she’s saying that you’re attractive enough to have sex with even without commitment, or just for the sake of having sex. A woman saying that you’re husband material, but not hookup material is a backhanded compliment because she’s essentially saying that you’re not attractive enough to have sex with without the promise of commitment.

Yes the argument that the straight woman wants to date straight men IS the point. Why is that confusing? People claim that low-N preference has no rational basis and comes from insecurity. My point is that there are other preferences that have no rational basis either. And what validity? No one is “shaming” anyone for preferences they have as long as they are pushing those values on other or judging others. Men who want a low-N partner get labeled as insecure. If they can get it, great. If they …

Let’s say that a man has had sex with other men in the past, but now he dates women. Let’s say the woman finds out and now she’s disgusted and wants to break up. Does “that was in the past, he’s with you now” not apply to her?

The things that are said to shame men who prefer low-N women could just as easily apply to this preference too. If “the past is the past” and “he/she is with YOU now, so don’t worry about the past” applies to men with this preference, why doesn’t it apply to this one too?

For me, I like straight men. But there's other people who like bisexual men. So the context is not wanting to date someone queer. So what if a man slept with a man once just to try it out, decided that he didn’t like it, and only slept with women since? Men who pay for sex... well, that's a red flag for me. Someone who pays for sex work isn't someone who has my same values. So the context is values around sex work. A man could just as easily say that a high-N woman doesn’t share his values about…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 03:11 PM
1

For the record, I have an N-count preference so I disagree with “the past is the past”, but if you’re going to say that when men prefer low-N women, say that for the women too when they have dealbreakers about a man’s past.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 02:56 PM
4

So men are wrong for caring about N count because “the past is the past”, but this doesn’t apply for women who wouldn’t date a man who slept with another man in the past, or a man who paid for sex in the past? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 02:50 PM

You think someone who has little, or even no, sexual experience with another person prior will enjoy sex with their 1 partner no matter what? I think the odds of this are better than someone who has slept with a bunch of different guys of various sizes and skill sets.

I don't understand your reasoning. By that logic, aren't you also her worst sex partner if you are her only partner? How can you get validation from being someone's best of you are their sole partner? I didn’t say a woman had to be a virgin, just low N. The woman that had 30+ partners that tells me that I was in her top 5 is much more satisfying... That’s your perspective, I disagree.

If she had just called him husband/marriage material and said nothing else, there may have not been an issue. Leading it with “I wouldn’t hookup or FWB with you” makes it sounds like he isn’t attractive enough for her to have sex with just for fun. It may not be intended as an insult but it would be taken as very insulting to most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 03:13 PM

<image> Damn 😬
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 03:09 PM

He had every right to be offended. Many women admit that they have lower physical standards for hookups than relationships. I think ability to hookup is a better metric of attractiveness for men than ability to get into a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 02:38 PM

These men all have money but they are all unattractive as f*ck if you ask me. Jeremy Meeks went viral for his looks. And women pay Chris Brown to take pics with him. The other guys maybe unattractive but those two are definitely found attractive by women outside of the money.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 08:00 PM

In it a woman marries the man she lost her virginity to with both of them knowing full well the sex situation is far from ideal, and the woman routinely fantasizes about other men during both sex and masturbation. Does this fit your priors about how AFBB/deadbedroom/marriage trap situations usually go? Do you think it's an exception? I think this is an exception.

Well good luck. The fact remains that there is no way to tell unless a person is honest about it, just like there’s no way to definitively tell if a woman is high N unless she’s forthcoming about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 06:55 PM

A man with good character couldn’t have paid for sex in the past?

Sure. But if I ask and he either refuses to answer or gives an answer I think is a lie, I'm gone. Do you believe that it’s equally wrong for a woman to lie about her N count if a man asks?

I don’t think it makes sense for either gender to do that.

Are you sure you’re reading the right post? I never said that high N women couldn’t get dates. I didn’t even say that I had an N count preference. I only said that men are entitled to their preferences. Unless you disagree?

The reasoning why a man cares about body count is irrelevant to the fact that’s he’s entitled to hold that preference. You don’t seem to disagree with me, so what’s the issue here?

Those two points that you made aren’t in contradiction with my two points.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:47 PM

That’s fine. You’re entitled to that dealbreaker. Just as a high body count is a valid deal breaker for men to have.

You said yourself that they’re “self-destructing” their own dating pool, so if that’s the case then why not just let them be? There’s women who only want guys that are 6 feet and above which is a very small part of the population, but I’m not going to argue with them about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 02:38 PM

Insulting a man for merely expressing his preference sounds insecure/triggered to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 02:15 PM

I didn’t say that women don’t approach. I’m saying that there are women out there who refuse to approach men, yet want to be approached by men. Is that hypocrisy?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 01:42 PM
5

It’s hypocritical for a woman to expect men to approach her while being unwilling to approach men, but you seem to have no issue with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 05:59 AM
6

The low n count preference, possibly a preference caused by male biology, is rejected by logic. If you have a high n count as a guy, then you’re part of the reason these women have a high n count. It’s hypocritical to prefer the opposite trait in others that you yourself repeatedly chose to have. I can agree that the preference is hypocritical in nature, but I know plenty of women who want a tall man despite being short, or want a man who is confident despite them being insecure, or want a man w…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 08:12 PM

If having a preference for a trait in others that you yourself don’t have makes you a hypocrite, are women en masse hypocrites for preferring that a man approaches them while being unwilling to approach a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:49 PM
11

Why is a man who is high N or who pursues casual sex while also wanting a woman who is low N seen as this giant hypocrite when women have a lot of preferences for men that have traits that they themselves don’t have? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:38 PM

I don’t think we’re ever going to come to a point in society where the average man is being asked out as much as the average woman is. It sucks but it is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:26 PM
2

We’re in agreement here, men are definitely expected to ask women out by default. But asking someone out then expecting them to split the bill is just bad practice IMO. If a woman asked a man out and expected him to cover the bill, I’d say the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:07 PM
1

Tbh I have to side with the women here. I think whoever asks the other person out should be prepared to pay. He asked her out.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 06:55 PM

There is literally nothing wrong with a man preferring a woman with a low N-Count. If a man wanting a low N-Count partner triggers you, you may just be insecure.

It’s not that you wish that people who don’t want you would ask you out, that’s a straw man. I would say that most people would be open to a respectful approach, and then either accepting the person’s advances or rejecting them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 05:38 PM
1

Just because she rejected the guy doesn’t mean that she isn’t flattered by the approach. If a hideous woman approached me, I’d reject her but I’d still be flattered by the approach if she was respectful about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 05:32 PM

Why would it be an ego boost if it’s not something she wants? Why are you assuming that she doesn’t want it?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 05:29 PM

You’re assuming that they all get approached at the same frequency. A woman who gets approached every time that she goes out will probably be desensitized to it, but a woman who gets approached once every few months might see it as an ego boost when it does happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 05:25 PM

Women at all levels of attractiveness get approached, it’s not like it’s exclusive to hot women.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:16 PM

I’ve never approached a woman before in my life and I don’t think I ever will. It’s almost a guaranteed rejection and a free ego boost for the woman at my expense. I’ll pass.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 04:08 PM

Wait, why is it weird?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 03:53 PM

It’s not about being a celebrity. That comment in the screenshot didn’t seem to be implying that “Mr. Panty Dropper” had to be a celebrity. It’s about attraction. I don’t even think most women would be happy their partner told them “I used to chase sexy women, but they all hurt me so I deprioritized attraction to be with you”.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/25 12:05 AM

She got her heart broken by the guys that she’s most attracted to, she compromised on physical attraction, and found someone. Good for her. I just wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of being settled for.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 07:07 PM

Most men don’t want to be with someone who sees them as a downgrade in terms of attraction compared to previous partners.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 02:18 PM

The "woman's behavior" isn't excusable, but is it really the kid's fault? This could be interpreted from an adoptive parent pov, can you really just drop someone you considered your child and you their father for years just like that? It’s not the kid’s fault, but it’s not the man’s fault either. If he decides that it’s better for his own mental health to separate himself, I’m not going to fault him. Any vitriol should be directed at the person who engineered this situation, not the victim.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/25 02:15 PM

Men take care of other men’s kids all the time. That’s how a man should be. You can’t get over your pride and continue to love this little girl who doesn’t deserve what you are doing to her. Also you’re possibly setting her up for failure in her dating life and what she looks for in a man when she’s older. I hope she finds a real man and nothing like you. https://np.reddit.com/r/TwoHotTakes/s/F3hfg1FX0d 🤦‍♂️ “Just accept being cucked, bro!”

To imply that a man leaving a situation where he finds out that he was deceived into raising a kid that’s not his is worse than the person who orchestrated the situation is insane on so many levels.

Personality matters if a person finds you initially attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 04:49 AM

I’m just speaking for myself, but I have no problem with women going for who they find attractive. In fact, I’d rather have a woman go for a man that she’s genuinely attracted to vs. one that she isn’t. I’m just saying to stop the lies about “personality” being the reason why a man is single if he’s complaining about the lack of female attention that he gets. If a man isn’t getting much attention from women, it’s not his “personality”, it’s his looks, point blank period.

When people say “it’s not your looks, it’s your personality”, remember that there are women out there who will pay Chris Brown over $1,000 to take a picture.

I once slept with a woman on the first date after we split the bill for the outing. If she’s attracted to you, you won’t have to lead with your wallet.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 05:53 PM

What’s amusing to me is that there are a couple of “male” users here who will spend literally HOURS going back and forth with other guys, but will never push back against anything a female user says, no matter what they say.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 03:35 PM

If a woman is physically attracted to you, you don’t have to lead with your wallet, your personality, or be a dancing jester
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 02:52 PM

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT6VkPe8E/ This woman is 1,000% right. If a woman isn’t extremely physically attracted to you, the relationship isn’t worth it.. point blank period.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 01:31 PM

“It’s not your (insert immutable characteristic), it’s your personality” is a lazy copout response to avoid the fact that certain things outside of your control will limit your dating prospects through no fault of your own.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:21 AM

The amount of people who claim to be against body shaming, but use phrases like “small dick energy” or “Napoleon complex” astounds me.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 06:28 PM
1

I think you’re just being willfully obtuse at this point. You think there’s no difference between a woman choosing to have sex with you vs. doing it only with the promise of payment?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 06:20 PM
1

It’s not the “same” validation. One instance is you paying a person for their attention, the other is someone doing it willingly. Again, this is like saying paying a prostitute for sex is the same dynamic as a woman consenting to have sex with a man for free.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 06:13 PM

You literally said What proof do you have that swipe apps that were originally designed for casual encounters are validating? What was given freely? a swipe? That’s validations? None of it is validation. I provided you an example of a woman using Tinder likes as validation.

Are you going to be honest and admit that you were wrong that women can’t find validation from getting likes on a dating app?

Oh damn maybe neither is really validating?! What proof do you have that swipe apps that were originally designed for casual encounters are validating? What was given freely? a swipe? That’s validations? None of it is validation. Dude, these are all things that YOU said 🤣 You said that it wasn’t validation, I provided you an instance of a woman using a dating app for validation, now you’re changing your stance. Why can’t you just admit that you were wrong? Also, are you implying that swiping rig…

”But most of all, it was a ginormous ego boost." Kristina found herself using dating apps for validation, with no real intention of pursuing anyone she met online. "Every single time I swiped on a hot guy from the group, it was a match," she explains. "I was so flattered." You said that likes on dating apps don’t offer any validation for women. I showed you one example of a woman who was using a dating app for validation. You going to admit that you were wrong or nah? Don’t change the subject.

Again your hung up o this money thing. Why? Because free attention that has no monetary incentive is not the same as paying someone to talk to you. Is having consensual, mutually desired sex the same as paying a prostitute for sex? It’s so common everyone has it. And most people in relationships are having sex too it’s not that uncommon either. Huh? And what authority do you have to say “likes on dating apps” equals validation? You dodged my question again. You’re asserting that likes on dating …

You don’t see my point “oh I don’t want to use cam sites cause they don’t care it’s just about the money. No real validation” I never said that wasn’t “real validation.” Maybe some guys do find validation from that. What I’m saying is comparing that to a woman getting FREE validation from a dating app is absurd. “ oh I don’t want to use OLD cause they don’t care it’s just all about sex with whoever. No real validation” Are you a woman? What authority do you have to assert that they don’t find li…

I’m not sure. Even if most men were on there for casual encounters, I still don’t see your point. Let’s say that a woman makes a profile on a dating app, and guys do swipe right on her in order to have a chance at casual sex, how exactly is that the equivalent to a guy paying a woman for attention? A woman isn’t “getting used for something” if she consents to casual sex with a man. You’re telling me that’s the same dynamic as a man paying a woman to talk to him?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 05:21 PM
1

You’re operating from the flawed assumption that all of the men are just trying to use her for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 05:15 PM
1

We’re just going to have to agree to disagree on this. No way is a guy paying for a woman’s attention the equivalent to a woman getting on a free app and receiving likes. That’s ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 05:10 PM
1

Again, you’re comparing a guy having to PAY for attention to a woman receiving free attention. Would you rather pay a woman to talk to you or download a dating app, receive likes, and evaluate them?

That option exists so what you are saying is that taking to can girls can be validating to men because everyone is different too? Hmmm I suppose so. But you’re leaving out the fact that those men have to PAY to talk to those women. What is the FREE equivalent that men have to women going on dating apps and getting a bunch of likes? And I equated “objectifying attending with objectifying attention”. All likes on dating apps are objectifying? 🤣 And only the most attractive women get the most atten…

”Can be validating” so that means it might not be? And what do you think wouldn’t make it validating? Yes it might not be. But that’s because everyone is different. It may be validating to some and not others. My point is that the option exists. And what I’m equating is the objectification. Oh sure lots of people would like to be objectified the way they want to be objectified (in their head) but when shown the way they can legit be objectified (in this case for money) then “oh that’s different!…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 04:47 PM
1

You didn’t answer my question but that’s fine. But yes, going on a dating app and getting likes can be validating. That’s not the same as paying a woman to give you attention that she wouldn’t otherwise. That’s like comparing a woman willfully consenting to sex with you vs. paying a prostitute who otherwise wouldn’t have sex with you if you weren’t paying.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 04:39 PM
1

Why are you labeling it free will validation? Because it was given freely. A guy choosing to swipe right on a woman is way different than a guy paying a woman to talk to him. What proof do you have that swipe apps that were originally designed for casual encounters are validating? What type of proof are you looking for?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 04:30 PM
2

Nice dodge. I can’t believe you’re actually equating free, willful validation/attention to having to pay for attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 04:22 PM

So all the likes are guys pretending to like the woman in order to get laid? None of them genuinely think that she’s attractive? None of them want a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/25 04:17 PM
2

Yeah, thought so. I don’t think downloading an app and getting free validation is the same as paying some woman to pretend to like you for a few minutes. Just saying.

I acknowledge that it may not happen, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t be aware of the possibility. I’ll own being insecure about this particular thing. So what? Everyone has insecurities. Why should I be ashamed of that? And I’m sure confidence is a factor in women’s attraction, but that’s if she already finds you physically attractive in the first place.

So another woman decides to pick a dude she’s not into and the thought is “that could be me!” Why? What did one individuals choice that’s not a person you are chasing do that might affect anyone who you might be into? Because anything can happen. It’s best to be aware of these things or you can unknowingly become the person who’s settled for.

That’s true but some women treat it like an “either or”thing. My biggest fear is ending up in a relationship like this. Having someone say they compromised on attraction to be with you is like a slap in the face.

My personal phrase is “if he makes your panties drop from across the street, he ain’t no good for you.” After I stopped chasing Mr. Panty Dropper and started looking for someone who treated me well, boom amazing husband. I want girls to be as attracted to me as they are to Chad? I want them to be as freaky with me as they are in bed with chad? Why would you want these things when she isn't as turned on with you as when she is with chad? That’s fine. But I don’t want a woman who feel like she’s settling in terms of attraction or feels like she was more attracted to past guys than she is to me. Call me insecure, but that’s my standard.

This feels very similar to my story. A decade and a half of dating emotionally unavailable or toxic assholes - spent 7 years with one who gave me hot highs and horrible lows because he triggered that wound in me. I got a lot of very good therapy and I’m been with someone now for a year, who is the most sweet and caring and warm person I’ve ever met, who helps me set boundaries and models kindness. Hot and exciting can mean different things to different people. I want to be a woman’s “hot and exciting”, as well as “stable and reliable”. I don’t want someone to compromise on attraction and excitement in favor of stability.

https://np.reddit.com/r/relationship_advice/s/u80gD7m7Lt I can absolutely relate to your fiancee. When I was young, I was all about excitement. After having children and growing up a bit, my priorities shifted. I didn't want the hot guy on a Harley, who lived life in the fast lane. I wanted solid, stable, reliable, dependable, responsible. All the things I thought were "boring" in my younger days. Those things are not boring. Not at all. It could be you absolutely misunderstood what she was sayi…

I don’t see how it’s “nothing”. Everyone has things that they feel are important to them. I just want to find a partner who finds me physically attractive first and foremost.
/r/ExRedPill05/08/25 10:28 PM

I think I’m being misunderstood here. I’m not saying that being seen as safe or dependable is bad. I’m saying that compromising on attractiveness in favor of those things is what I find bad. Like for example, if someone were to say “When I was younger, I prioritized looks and fun, but now I look for stability and dependability”. If a woman was equally as physically attracted to me as she was feeling that I was safe and stable, I’d have no issue.
/r/ExRedPill05/08/25 07:54 PM

This is my whole point. If a woman can say “I used to prioritize attraction and excitement before you” then she’s basically saying that she compromised on those things to be with you. I can’t see how that’s not an insult.

You know, I have never considered that perspective before. You make an interesting point. Although it is painful to think about what I missed out on, dwelling on the past doesn’t help. Maybe I’m looking at this all wrong.

You’re entitled to your opinion. I don’t think I’m willfully misunderstanding the comment. She described the previous guys as hot and exciting, and the ones that she goes for now with words like “dependable” and “stable”. To me, that implies that there’s less of an emphasis on attraction and excitement and more of an emphasis on being stable. And that’s fine if that works for her. But for me, I don’t want to be with someone who wouldn’t have gone for guys like me until they “matured”. It’s just …

/r/ExRedPill03/08/25 07:02 PM

The fact that she describes her previous type as hot and exciting, without offering the same type of description for the present type. Also, the fact that she wouldn’t give “boring” guys a chance until after she had a child.

you gotta grieve your youth and move on. Yeah, it sucked and other kids were having more fun than you. That's true, it happened, and it's never going to change, because it's over and done with. Yes I would be attracted. But I’m not saying that I have to be perfect, or expect my SO to think I’m the most objectively attractive person that she has ever seen. I’m not saying that women don’t value those things. Like I said in other comments, I would want a woman to be equally as attracted to me for my looks as she is for the stability or reliability. I don’t want someone who feels as though they’re compromising on attraction in favor of stability.

That’s not entirely true. I’ve known many handsome/“pretty boys” throughout my life, and I’ve seen the difference between how they’re treated vs. normal guys. I’m not just some guy who sits online all day. I work, I travel, and I go out sometimes. Even if it was the case that most women (I don’t really believe this but okay) like guys for their qualities and not their looks, that’s not what I want. Again, I’m not saying that a woman feeling secure with me is a bad thing. If a woman thought I was equally as exciting and sexy as I was stable and reliable, then I’d have no problem. Some women had enough shit in their childhood that from the get go in their dating life they want stability, hot guys equals drama to them. This doesn’t really help. You’re kind of implying that the stable guys aren’t hot.
/r/ExRedPill02/08/25 09:13 PM

I understand that recklessness can lead to some terrible consequences, but it does suck that I missed out on a lot of the youthful, carefree fun that a lot of others got to have when they were younger. I do fun things when I can (travel, go to events, stuff like that) but I have real responsibilities now (like mortgage, car payment, bills) so it feels like I can’t have care-free fun anymore.
/r/ExRedPill02/08/25 08:46 PM

I’m not trying to generalize and I don’t think that all women like the same things or have the same thinking patterns. Some women like “bad boys” or toxic guys and some don’t. But my concern is someone who feels like they have to compromise on attraction in order to be with me in favor of stability and reliability.
/r/ExRedPill02/08/25 08:40 PM

But if you're looking for the love of your life, but it'd make you anxious that she finds you "reliable" or "secure", then you're effectively asking for the impossible. It’s not a woman finding me reliable or secure that I have a problem with. It’s having a partner that feels like they compromised on attraction and excitement in favor of stability. A woman thinking of me like “He’s not as attractive as the hot, toxic guys I used to get with but he’s stable and reliable” doesn’t make me feel good…

I don’t think that’s true in all cases. But like the comment I linked, when certain guys are described with words like “hot” and “exciting”, and others are described as “dependable” and “reliable”, it seems like a downgrade in terms of attraction.
