The men outside of the top 10% need women a lot more than women need them...they might not even get a look. They form the needy mass of males sending the hundreds of messages. But the men in the top 10%..they have options. Women want them but these men are very hard for them to get commitment from(part of their charm as well). Women need these men a lot more than they need women.

"Happiness" is overrated. The population in Brave New World is happy. Lot of men are happy in their stagnant marriage and dead-end job. Happiness is complacency. Happiness is a trap. The idea that "happiness is the goal" is one of the biggest lies we're fed in our lives. Such a pervasive idea it is. When you chase happiness, one of two things will happen: You will either reach your goals and stop striving, stop changing, stagnate, thinking you've reached the finish line. Or you never reach it, i…

Everything that is good about Women could not exist without Men, and vice-verca. Men love to be dominant, but they couldn't actualize this desire if everyone on earth also liked being dominant. There must be people who take pleasure in being submissive (Women) for the man to feel and come to know this part of himself. Of course, life is not only about dominance (from a universal perspective). There is much to be said for the Feminine’s receptivity and nurturing - it is not inherently better or w…

We grow up hearing all kinds of heroic stories of men and women standing up against injustice. What humans always want to do? Emulate their heroes. It's a testament to what the western society has achieved that the want-to-be justice warriors need to resort to inventing jokes like "rape culture" to find something to direct their righteousness towards. The genuine, legit feminists in Muslim countries and the genuine, legit liberals in China are struggling to get to where we are. Emphasis on the g…

Murakami reminds me a lot of Vonnegut, though obviously not stylistically. Neither are bad writers but classics? Hmm hmm. Both are overrated by a loud fanbase, again, they're good writers but they leave something to be desired. Maybe they are/were a bit too comfortable in their own niche and trope, without the ambition to evolve and push the envelope... Agree wth Pevear & Volokhonsky translations.

More: -99% of the advice you receive is rubbish. The secret of success? Detecting the good advice. -Pay attention to how much you are consuming and how much you're creating. Always look to create. Creating teaches you and makes you grow. -That said, the path to creation starts with consuming good things, then combining them. This will eventually lead to a creation of something new. -Half-believe everything. Note that by this I don't mean to believe 50% of everything. Always entertain the thought…

Don't give a shit about what your peers do. Chase your own thing. CHANGE is your friend. ALWAYS keep an open mind. Always consider the possibility that YOUR CURRENT BELIEFS ARE WRONG. This is KEY to avoiding the trap of stagnation, also known as arrested development. The more often you change, the more comprehensively you can experience life. CHANGE EVENTUALLY LEADS TO SYNTHESIS AND GROWTH.

Non-fiction books do have their place and you should read a wide variety of them, but. READ YOUR FUCKING CLASSICS. That is one of the founding stones of a civilized, cultured renaissance man in an age where the greatest depth of most guys(note "guys", not "men") is quoting TV-show characters. A selection of names to start with(please comment if you feel I have forgotten someone significant): Also, suggested works to start with the author are in brackets, but you shouldn't limit yourself to those…

This is obvious to everyone who's been around dogs. The small ones bark at anything and everything, the big ones are the calmest and the coolest. It's imperative that you ignore those insults. After all, the value and self-esteem of an alpha won't be lowered one iota by words of people like that.

The writing has gotten much worse It's pretty much this. The show has always had strong female characters but the writing used to be far better, so the characters didn't appear as overt caricatures. I doubt there is any "agenda" behind the approach other than the maximization of all demographics.

I'm going to recommend something I haven't seen recommended before: I am Zlatan, which is the autobiography of footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Why? Because his public personality one of the best real-life examples of Amused Mastery. He knows how to play an intriguing, larger-than-life personality, and is an extremely successful professional to boot. Interviewer: "What did you get your wife for her birthday?" Zlatan Ibrahimovic: "Nothing. She already has Zlatan."

The most basic shit to do that works: 1: Cut out computer screentime before going to bed. I suggest reading books in bed before lying down. This has another benefit, which is: 2: Make falling asleep a ritual. Do the same things pre-bed every day. This "primes" your brain to fall asleep. Habit is a powerful tool, it helps immensely when you can give your body a cue when it's time to rest. The aforementioned reading helps with the "conditioning". Listening to relaxing music works too. Use your ima…

There are hundreds of studies like this that have gotten mildly interesting results, but when you refract back and look at the field as a whole, there aren't many clear patterns that come out. Yes, that is very much how it works. What's one of the most effective ways of giving value to another person: recognize what he/she thinks makes him unique, separate from the rest, then feed it back to him. EVERYONE is a sucker for this, provided it's done tastefully.

Camus' concept of the absurd and Amused Mastery go well together. The Myth of Sisyphus should be required reading. “Happiness and the absurd are two sons of the same earth. They are inseparable.” Full consciousness, avoiding false solutions such as religion, refusing to submit, and carrying on with vitality and intensity: these are Camus's answers. This is how a life without ultimate meaning can be made worth living.

Attempts to add more subtlety to alpha/beta dichotomy are often entertaining and can add nuances to your worldview, as most of you probably know someone who doesn't fit either definition. Here's my two cents for today: a 3x3 archetype theory, based on 3 spectrums: Strong frame - Weak frame This one is straightforward. Strong frame is a necessity for any kind of alphaness. Extroversion - Introversion Another straightforward spectrum. I'm sure all you know what this means. High Sensitivity - Low S…

I don't recommend potassium supplements. I've done this before, I know very well what happens to the body on different diets. I've eaten +300g of carbs a day without gaining fat, on the contrary, I've lost fat on diets like that. You gained 10lbs because with the sudden addition of carbs your body started retaining water, and water retention looks a lot like fat but it isn't. If I go 3 days without carbs I lose 5lbs, but that's from pissing all day. Here's a suggestion, eat plenty of carbs but watch your electrolyte intake (sodium and …

It's a mistake. 99% of women have no place in the military. There's no equality in war and women are far less suited to it than men. Some exceptional women can do as well as the average man or sometimes even better, but they can volunteer. The average woman drags her unit down. I've served in the army(not US) and we have volunteer women in there, and even many of the willing ones don't cut it. Forcing unwilling women into the army will result in a shitshow.

Carbs don't make you fat, excess calories do, and even though I agree with you on some points there's no way around that rule. You need carbs to build muscle and recover from training. Carbs are the best thing you can eat to lower cortisol and to get the insulin response you need to repair muscle and go anabolic. No, insulin doesn't make you fat like Taubes et al. shout. Too much calories and insulin resistance do, and eating smart and exercising will do wonders to prevent that. And yes you shou…

Steroids give far superior results than naturaldom, of this there's no discussion, but you can get more than fit enough without them. Of course everyone is free to make their own decisions, but I'd strongly suggest to go for 3 years naturally before making the decision whether to use them or not, for two reasons: 1: You'll know whether your goals are achievable naturally or not. 2: You'll actually know your body, how to train and feed it and how to improve it. "It is about finding all available means-...-and choosing the one which best allows you to achieve your goals." Applies to a lot of things. It's not only about numbers, it's about the culture, the "balls" behind the organization, which, along with technology and tactical&strategic acumen, is one of the most important things behind an effective army. It's the difference between forces that: 1: capitulate in the face of enemy attack(recent example, see the mass desertions of Iraqi army vs. ISIS) 2: weather and soak the attack 3: soak the attack, then turn it to a counter-attack When your army culture no longer instils determination an…

A strong army must, by necessity, attract and cultivate masculine men because they are the only ones determined (and crazy) enough to withstand hunger, cold, intense discomfort, combat, injury and death for their nation. I believe the basis of a fulfilling life is a cycle of periods of "suffering" followed by release. Working towards goals and attaning them. The more goals you attain, the longer the periods of "suffering"(aka delaying gratification) become and greater the rewards become. This I believe is crucial to the process of the elusive maturation. The kid does whatever he wants and can get away with. He'd eat candy 3 times a day if he could. We know that is not the path to fulfillment. Too much of a good …

I wouldn't worry about the GI of the carbs you ingest. If you eat protein, fats and fiber with your carbs(a.k.a a real meal), that will slow down their absorption enough already. Also the methods of calculating the GI index of foods are shoddy at best(feed fasted people with nothing but the carb source in question, who in real life eats like that?) That said, "low-GI" foods tend to be more satiating by having higher volume relative to the amount of carbs contained. Overall a solid simple guide t…

Multivitamins don't work at all. I have a post above describing why. I heartily recommend cod liver oil for all fat-soluble vitamin needs. Apart from that I do not think supplements are necessary if your diet is on point. I suggest getting some baking cocoa. It's cocoa powder with no sugar added, hence it contains all the things that make chocolate good without the unnecessary sugar and fat. Very good source of magnesium and potassium. Multivitamins are crap. The manufacturers mostly use the cheapest forms that don't absorb at all, and slam the most amount of vitamins and minerals that they can on the pills. The problem is that most compete for absorption, so even the little that gets absorbed has to compete with other minerals and vitamins. Taking care of your micronutrient intake most definitely improves your health, but multivitamin pills are the wrong way to do it.

Be careful with not going overboard with zinc supplementation. It can indeed help libido, but it is also a 5ar antagonist, and too much will hurt your libido again. Nearly everything in body works in a balance. Too little is bad and makes you deficient, too much is poisonous, right amount is optimal, and with pretty much everything the idea of "more is better" is wrong.

I find the "sigma" phenomenom fascinating. I believe it most certainly exists, but its classic description feeds into Omega-self delusion and insecurity so well that most people who claim the title are insufferable cunts. They can be (often unintentional) shils for the pharmaceutical industry Definitely, a lot of GPs fall into this category. One suggestion I'd like to make: I am not big on nutritional supplements. THE EXCEPTION BEING cod liver oil. Invest in this. This shit works, unlike 99% of the things out there. Why? -Omega 3. This has a lot of of it. Getting the right ratio of omega 3 / omega 6 fats is extremely important. Too much omega 6 increases inflammation, raises estrogen and lowers insulin sensitivity. From reading this "poem" I got an acute mental image of the "poetess" in my mind. Civilization is all about keeping the natural urges in check. "Optimum" for civilzation is to use those natural urges to make people work for the society's goals. Capitalism is successful(or at least more successful than any of its competitors have been) because it exploits two strong human drives and tames them(more or less successfully) to push the collective society on: the drive to acquire(sometimes called greed) and consume, and the desire to create(for those who can). Your cells use them to build themselves and your skin will go to shit if your fatty acid intake is shit. -Omega 3 is important. Most importantly, omega 3/ omega 6 ratio. Too much omega 6 relative to omega 3(4:1 and more, optimal is 1:1, many westerners get about 20:1) increases inflammation and estrogen. You'll get acne and blotchy skin. Inevitably the hamstering will start on how hypergamy is good for men, and women may sincerely believe it, because the way they're wired to see men, only the alphas are men, betas don't register, and hypergamy is good for alphas(if we ignore the social costs, which women do). I can heartily agree with this. I come from a country that has mandatory military service, and while that is nowhere near SF training, it does have a positive effect on "manhood". When you've spent a week constantly on the move with little sleep in middle of nowhere, coming back to the city, everything seems slower and softer. The struggle is real, it makes you feel alive, the floating life has nothing. Easiness and comfort have value only when there is a contrast.

How do you become this kind of a man? When you're attracted to a woman, how is it even possible for you to not care when she turns you down. Practice, experience, having truly high value. If you are used to success with attractive women, one rejection doesn't even register. You might have to fake it before you make it. And also in regards to that, I know that many people preach "approach approach approach, it's a numbers game, etc." IMO if you get rejected constantly, you're a salesman trying to…

Doesn't approaching a woman with an intention to date her put you at her mercy? Not really, depends on the context. Approach nervously, outcome dependant, and you're giving her the power. Approach casually, relaxed, outcome independent, and it's a different story. If she says no, then so what? It's her loss and you move on to the next one. Communicate that with your attitude and she has no leverage.

Century of the Self. Before, powers that be fought physical wars to conquer subjects and cities. Now, the fight is mental. The wars are fought over ownership of minds. And the belligerents are no longer Kings, they are Corporations, Ideologies, Movements, and the great majority of them have hidden agendas.

Fun food for thought: let's assume this actually happens. There won't be any more work for majority of people. Now remember those old-time utopia dreams. What was the central theme? That all are provided for, and no one needs to work. Why toil if one man can, with the aid of machines, provide for tens or hundreds of thousands? Now we are afraid of that happening. Why? All answers and lines of thought welcome.

Every single time there's been technological innovation in history people have worried that all jobs disappear. It has never happened and never will happen. Jobs based on land and natural resources didn't disappear, most were replaced by manufacturing. Now manufacturing is being replaced by services. I would not say that all females are narcissists all the time(god knows all of them have the potential), it's just that they are incapable of considering a situation from a point of view that is not their own and not tinged by their feelz. Feelz is the primary mode of processing reality for females and will always override logic, and without logic you cannot think(even though everyone says they're opposites) emphatically, as in seeing the situation from another's point of view.

Yes the fertility of the female is of course a huge factor. The variations on how men cum are pretty fascinating(no homo) Examples: -When a man is masturbating, the sperm he releases is of lower quality(less motile) than if doing the real thing. The reason for this probably is that masturbation evolved as a method to purge old sperm, making room for the newly made, high quality sperm. -If the male detects the smell/pheromones of another man on the woman(happens unconsciously), he will cum harder(ejaculates more sperm), likely because his sperm must compe…

The higher one's social status is, the less he needs to use bullying to maintain it(though ones with aggressive dispositions are likely to use it all the time for their own enjoyment). Without commenting on anything else, this is wrong: "Woman's empathy is very strong". Woman's sympathy, when invoked, can be very strong, but their empathy is weak, much weaker than men's Empathy = ability to imagine yourself in the other person's position Sympathy = feeling bad because of other person's misfortune, an emotional warmth Women are the solipsitic sex and cannot put themselves into other person's shoes like men can, but are capable(if they're not damaged) of higher emotional warmth …

AWALT is true but the bar needed to trigger the less attractive traits for LTR varies from woman to woman. Obviously, you want a woman with a high bar. And her background, if you can find reliable information about it, is pretty much the only thing that can tell you where her bar is.

To be honest, I don't know. I think it is about 50/50%. There are stories here of people who thought they were doomed to a life of male bitchdom but then transformed themselves. At the same time we know that not everyone can swallow the red pill, the percentage might be quite low actually. Going all the way down to the rabbit hole we come to the question "how much of our slates is blank?" and I don't presume to know an answer to that. We only know that it is not the either extreme. Also, I believe there is two sets of traits; "surface" traits, that can be changed, and "deep" traits, the ones that you have from birth to death and make you "you", a snowflake if you will(note that the breadth of the surface traits is wider than commonly believed, this sub is a testament to that). This is correct as far as I know(I don't presume to know with absolute certainty). This also forms the military doctrine of many small nations, especially the ones that share border with Russia or other big& "aggressive" nations: they know that they would not win a war of attrition, that realistically they're doomed to lose, so they focus on making the cost of the attack too high to be viable. You actually aren't playing to win, you could win at any moment, but you keep the kid in the game because it's entertaining and he enjoys it. Staying in the spirit of amused mastery. It is the competition between two different sexual strategies. What is optimal for men is not optimal for women and vice versa. This way women had (shared) access to the alpha that they crave for while at the same time gaining his resources. Stoicism becomes natural when you learn to accept the world as it is. While that sounds like hippie bullshit it's actually rather redpill. Read more of the sub and liked it. So funnily enough I was alreadyred before being redpill. I've always considered myself more "clear-eyed" than most on what drives people to act…

All those questions read like you're thinking way too much which tells me you haven't internalized yet unfuckwithable confidence. I mean "Am I gonna lower my SMV if I join a chess club?" WTF? Fucking lol. You're alpha, you don't give a shit whether chess club is cool or not. Someone asks why you're there you answer that you need to do brainy stuff to balance out your huge dick.

"Americans have the highest calcium intake yet highest osteoporosis" Do you know why? They don't get enough vitamin K2. Sources for it are ORGAN MEATS grassfed meat fish, especially fish roe grassfed dairy & cheeses & some cheeses like gouda that are fermented with specific bacteria that produce vitamin k2 and finally japanese dish called natto, which is fermented soybeans and pretty much unavailable outside japan eat your damn QUALITY meat for health and the funniest part is that you bring up t…

Actually I don't eat grassfed meat(or meat)right now for two reasons: 1: the one you said. What often happens is that the animals are fed grass through their life but before butchering they can spend weeks in feedlots waiting for the knife and eating grain all the while, which defeats the purpose. Second, it's fucking expensive and I'm not rich So what I do is I eat a whole lot of fish which is cheaper, and buy butter that's from 100% certified grassfed animals & unpasteurized. That way I get th…

Doesn't help the chronic absence of fat-soluble vitamins in diet, getting way too much copper relative to zinc(murders test levels, increases estrogen), absence of vitamin B12 nor the absence of quality saturated fatty acids for the brain, myelin sheaths and cell membranes Parents who grow their kids up vegan should be jailed for child abuse.

Grass contains vitamin K1. When the animals eat it, they convert it to vitamin K2(which humans cannot do because we aren't ruminants) which then goes to their tissues aka meat. Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin that makes calcium go to the right places in your body, aka teeth & bones. Vitamin K2 is the reason why the japanese have half the osteoporosis western countries have even though their calcium intake is only a fraction of ours(japs get their K2 from fermented soybeans, that is also what…

The pic of Alana Massey is excellent, it really showcases the features of vegans: pallid skin, thin hair, tired look. Just a look of that makes me hungry for some vitamin B12-rich fish that died for my health. One thing that I would like to emphasize on the subject of training is that when you work out, you fucking work. When you rest, you fucking rest. When you're training it's short(no more than 60-70min), balls to the walls, high intensity. Then you rest, you eat, you take it easy like a lion…

There's a satiric book called "Oneupmanship"(written by Stephen Potter), except most of the stuff there is true. One of the advices is to give advice that makes you sound like an expert, but is too vague to be of any use, so the only thing it does is asserting your superiority over the other person. “How to be one up - how to make the other man feel that something has gone wrong, however slightly.”

Can be done on lower budgets too if you're creative and live in the right place. Lean fish like tilapia and tuna are cheap, those can form the bulk of your diet. Then it's just an issue of finding quality fats. And not gorging on shit carbohydrate sources. Coconut oil, organic butter, canned wild fatty fish and olive oil is not super expensive, but can be hard to find. Especially the organic butter that's unpasteurized. This is spot-on. Honest friends who give you true feedback without the intent of lowering you are priceless. And you won't meet many of them. Hold onto one when you find one. And most people cannot handle truly honest, unsugarcoated feedback. They will refuse to process it and emotionally lash out at you. Nor are they capable of giving you that kind of feedback. Even if they wanted it would be too much colored by emotion. In fact they often are oblivious to why what you did triggered a negative …

I'm not saying what do to do or not to do. I'm saying how things are. And funnily enough the essence of psychopathy is not giving a fuck. It's all about where you are on the scale. Having some of the trait can be very beneficial, go over a certain line and you turn dysfunctional. All traits are like this, agreeableness, neuroticism, openness to experience and so on. If you are high in machiavellian and narcissitic traits, you WILL have some psychopathic traits, hence triad. It doesn't mean you a…

You completely and utterly misunderstand. Dark Triad has nothing to do with school shootings or Bond-villain behaviour. Again, it's narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy. First two you can develop, the last one you need to have by genetics or be exposed to some pretty severe stress to develop. Fucking Gandhi was dark triad in that he had very high machiavellianism, high narcissism(just look at the personality cult around him). Psychopathy? Doubtful, though there is overlap with the two tr…

I've read it. But we are a social species and the theory is not perfect for that. It cannot explain things like a soldier jumping on a live grenade to save his mates. It might be just excellent conditioning, I don't know. But that kind of behavior exists and it is exactly the kind of behaviour that we want from our friends but real psychos cannot do.

That phrase was coined at least 2000 years ago, I have yet to see evidence of the meek inheriting anything. Phrases like that and "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" are just lip service to treat the existential nausea of the bottom feeders. Now as religion is fading new medicines are being invented, like equality and "everyone is beautiful!" And it's no conspiracy: the ones at the bottom want and need those medicines. …

You don't need a family to have a whole lot of offspring. Remember, contraception is a very recent invention. Short-term mating has been very lucrative in the past if you could pull it off. Also I believe that dark triad individuals without the ability/circumstances to rise to the top will either grudgingly go beta or self-implode, ending up in the same category as deadbeats, prison inmates and substance addicts. Essentially they rise to the top or fall through the cracks. The world of high-valu…

Solitude is where you "find yourself". Also it pays to not be dependant on other people for happiness. And finally, you're going to be a doctor, you will work your ass off and then some, you've picked a lonely trade. You're more sensitive to loneliness because of your age. Anyway I am not saying one should be a recluse all the time. Balance is the key. Adjust things until you find it.

Bad nutrition can fuck your appearance up badly. The younger you start fixing it, the more you can unfuck yourself. One of the most important things for appearance is getting quality fatty acids through diet. At this point ditch all mainstream nutritional info out because it is bullshit. Introverts are more excitable, period. They have a stronger response to stimuli than extroverts. Introverts tolerate solitude better because they can maintain enough stimulation to not go crazy by their own cogitation alone. For extroverts generally it's not enough, so they seek external excitement(though they can train themselves to tolerate low stimulation better). An organism tries, consciously or unconsciously, maintain it's preferred amount of incoming stimuli(though this of course oscillat…

Not exactly. You need a layer of clueless between the losers and the sociopaths. The task of the clueless is to handle the day-to-day running of.an organization so that the sociopaths are free to focus on the big picture, and to shield the sociopaths from mob anger when they do decisions that don't go well with the loser layer. The downfall of a successful org is that it attracts too many clueless which makes performance go down, at which point sociopaths abandon ship and the clueless find thems…

Some things you can change, some you can't. For example: natural introverts have more sensitive/excitable nervous systems than extroverts. Meaning extroverts need more stimulation. This can basically mean the difference between a person who likes coffee shops and a person who likes cocaine-fueled raves(neither is "better") Of course introversion is not an excuse to be a shut-in, but it does mean an introvert would benefit from a different approach to social life. Introvert's sensitivity means he…

I've read a lot about this and essentially it's a form of depression. Very prevalent amongst people during whose lifetimes there has been a major shift in society functions and are unable to adapt to it. If you've read on different theories on what causes depression, then you've run into the explanation that it's an evolutionary adaptation, that an organism with low fitness essentially shuts down and goes into "hibernation" to save energy and wait for a change in living conditions because it can…
