Old people are far more brain rotted by smartphones than young people. "Phones" are a convenient scapegoat to hide the real structural issues that have made young adults and teenagers more "locked down" and isolated in the past 20 years partly because Boomers hate seeing young people out being young

That stuff mostly died out after the Great Recession, not a recent trend. Even by the 2010s, the helicopter parenting panopticon was already in full swing. The difference is that dating apps were actually fun/useful from 2012 until about 2018 when monetization turned Tinder into a slot machine. "De urbanization" is also a factor in the US. Americans have increasingly moved to exurbs and/or sprawling metro areas where it's harder to socialize informally, and car insurance rates + "graduated licen…

ENM is the least problematic of the bunch ENM is absolutely vile and probably the worst of the bunch. There's a lot of manipulation in that space, and it's usually a one-sided arrangement in practice (more often the man is the one sleeping around as well, not the woman getting easy dick) The whole polyamory thing really highlights a broader issue with modern dating - people are afraid to just be single and date/sleep around. People aren't getting married, but they shack up together for 10+ years…

Extremely trad-pilled. Women in 1810 didn't pop out 10 kids in 10 years. They basically just kept having them until menopause.

People like "top AI researchers" do a lot more to push the Culture than you think, especially super online stuff. Remember that Caroline from FTX had a whole Tumblr. Smart people are often both crazy and bored, so they can get into some weird shit and spend all day on the computer.

It should match with your natural personality. You missed my point. Some men's natural personality is already too expressive. You're taking her on a little bit of a fun rollercoaster...it's playful. You are doing too much for a first date. Someone is still pretty much a stranger after 1, 2, 3 dates. It's different than texting someone you actually know. A lot of guys suffer from "halo effect" from dating where if you feel like you had a good time, you assume she did even if she was just being po…

Height matters way, way less than people on places like PPD try to make it seem. At least in "the West" short height is often correlated with certain ethnicities that are not portrayed as masculine/attractive (for men anyway) by the dominant society. Being obese or genetically ugly is far more of a hindrance. Remember the old phrase used to be HEIGHT, FACE, FRAME. That's 3 areas, and you probably didn't draw an unlucky combo in all 3.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 09:31 PM

It also doesn't even work as well anymore because "back home" is not as poor as it was 40 years ago when they left.

Balance is key here, especially with points 4 and 5. Being too expressive can be a big turn off, as can texting too excessively with emojis and shit. It all depends on your natural personality and flow + the type of women you normally date. Back in my OLD days, I know for a fact that I blew it several times for being too expressive in IRL conversations, and I would have died of embarrassment texting something like your example in point 5.

Why should people compromise? Relationships have massive financial and social effects whether they go well or go poorly. You only get one life. Women and men both deserve the best life possible vs. dragging themselves down to avoid the spinster/bachelor insult.

Making women eligible for the draft would actually hurt men more if a draft were to happen. Women are generally not allowed to serve in combat roles, which means they would fill up the "safe" roles away from the front lines.

If your profile isn't recognized as attractive pretty quickly Conventionally attractive as well. It becomes a problem if you have a certain "type", or if you just try to tailor your profile to stand out vs. appeal to a wider set of people.

The "judgement" in bar/nightlife is just different though. Your name, age, and exact height are blasted out before someone even speaks to you. Having fun and letting loose brings a different energy than whatever pics and witty bio you put on your dating app profile.

Huge portion of those are probably social media, not dating apps tbh. It's kind of like how 5-10 years ago, people would lie about meeting on an app because it was still seen as kind of weird. Now, "app" is sometimes the acceptable way of saying "they slid in the DMs"

That stuff basically only affects minors though, which is a very small portion of the dating pool. Teens socializing less in person means that they have stunted social skills and different "norms" once they become young adults. Do you not "grok" that what people experience in their formative years sticks with them in the future? Increased cars per household would counteract the effect of graduated licensing laws, and it's hard to know which would have a bigger effect on how much teenagers go out…

. I don't see how graduated licensing laws A big part of graduated licensing laws are "no passengers under 18" as well as a curfew as early as like 10pm. So why would teenagers bother getting a license if they can't drive with their friends places or stay out reasonably late? Not to mention getting added to parents' insurance is very expensive even when kids just have their permit, not even full license. Some people in my state are paying like $300/month for their kid just to practice driving wi…

BIPOC Twitter genuinely believes white people "stole" all of their cultural contributions and that even Isaac Newton is bullshit. Even with compatibility taken into account, in the past it was easier to find and integrate into social circles where people shared your lifestyle, interests, political views, values, etc. That's not really true though. In the past, there was simply far more social pressure to get married and have kids at relatively young age. "Compatibility" wasn't even a factor in many cases rather than "you are gonna be an old maid/bum, settle for someone quick". "Stranger danger" has always been the default …

People stopped socializing in person in large part due to legal and financial changes (the insurance industry is evil + law enforcement is greedy and overbearing). Video games and scrolling became popular because the 3rd spaces were already dying. People get the chicken-and-egg wrong here because it's easy to blame the Gosh Dang Phones instead of scrapping the harmful "safety" policies that have been enacted in the past 20-30 years.

It takes like 6-12 months of going to the gym 3-4 days a week and not eating like an asshole. If it takes you "lots of years and a tight diet" to achieve a fit body, you are fat as fuck, don't try, and/or have a serious binge eating problem.

You're probably thinking of OkCupid, which was one of the first casualties of match group. The quizes on the old site were so fun. The safety features on the apps are already abused by "revenge reporting". A lot of younger people are incredibly confused on what is socially appropriate in different areas and situations of their lives. Younger people are actually more aware of what is socially appropriate. The ugly truth is that a lot of Boomer/Gen X and even older Milennial "dating" culture was incredibly toxic, full of SA, messy break-ups, etc. Zoomers have simply learned a lesson, which means fewer relationships overall. Scammers are constantly recreating profiles to avoid bans and cast a wide net. Some of them even use the same profile spoofed to a dozen cities. Plenty of YouTube videos of these guys being caught in the act. Though they do it with fake male profiles to trap women as well. Apps have been dead for a couple years now, Tinder probably 5 years at this point. Even Raya opened the doors to the masses. What's amazing is that people still try to use them or act like they work.

You think that someone smart with a good job who doesn't do drugs, doesn't smoke, only drinks occasionally, doesn't gamble and is smart with money has a high chance of being abusive or a cheater? There are many men like this, actually. A lot of these "Type A, high achiever" guys can be quite nasty behind closed doors. And there's lots of guys who smoke cigarettes, like a drink, or are kind of "dopey" but end up being good men.

If he's in a small town, he might have his distance filter set really wide (like 100 miles) to find women in big cities. But those women likely have smaller distance filters, so they never see his swipe unless they pay for premium. And even if they do, distance might be a left-swipe.

They want a partner they are attracted to, with a job that can pay for his lifestyle, and someone that does his part in the relationship and domestic duties Men today are far, far, more likely to be able to provide that than men 50 or 100 years ago, though. The vast majority of women in say the 50s or 60s married a man who at best could do 2 out of 3 of those things, usually 0 or 1.

The only women in the history of ever who have been homemakers have been upper middle class and royalty. Royalty and the upper middle class weren't homemakers lmfao. They had a team of servants. In the Victorian era, even middle-middle class women often had at least 1 or 2 servants to help out around the house (as do people in third world countries today). Most people in blue states/liberal areas have zero problems with gender roles as well tbh. Conservatives online vastly play up the "feminazi" stereotype stuff. Well, the gym and coffee shops are not places to "meet women". Festivals and "going out" depend a lot on the type of place, how big your group is/solo, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 03:50 PM

Well yeah, obviously. Concerts are a very easy environment. A lot of "thuggish" looking people are suspicious at venues that have a history of problems. Some of them are, some aren't. Some places profile everyone. I'm a small guy, clean cut, and I've been asked to have my Zyn pouch inspected (looking for harder drugs) at some places. Bouncers aren't police. And honestly, if someone shows up with effort and looks clean cut, they're aren't gonna worry too much.

People who post things like this usually have very low N-counts tbh. They are inexperienced due to various hangups and/or they are unattractive and have had mostly shitty partners. The stereotypical "high-N party girl" probably views most of her hookups with a blur. The real "alpha widow" thing comes from some guy she casually, off and on. Not just a "wham bam thank you ma'am".

Refusing to take the blame for anything, or being unusually sensitive about small insults/teases are big tells. You can probably brush off a couple things (maybe they have had some rough times or have complex about something small you didn't know), but if it's a pattern, you'll notice it fairly soon.

Police enforce the law. A lot of people who break the law, or at least are involved and swept up in crimes due to bad friends, are kind, gentle souls (or at least to people they care about/view as innocent). A lot of people who are violent, abusive assholes don't break the law, or at least do it in ways that are hard to track until they snap/get lazy. Basically, Police are gonna profile people differently because they have different facts vs. someone who has spent social time with someone.

At least at a strip club, it's a real person putting on act to make a connection with the guy. On OnlyFans, most of the models (100% of the popular, viral ones) outsource their chat to some guy in the Phillippines or India. Many of them don't even have access to the account. They just take pictures/videos and send them to their "manager" who handles all the rest.

Women are far more likely to be "consensus driven" than men. It's a binary, but it's a trend that reflects a lot of things. Women in "edgy" spaces (outside of far left-wing politics, but even then...that's because of "Eggs") always have their pick of men simply because there's fewer women there. Women in more "consensus" or at least "communal" spaces typically have to compete for men because there's fewer men.

Dating apps are a place to be extremely selective otherwise you’re overwhelmed. Most conversations go nowhere on apps though. So if you're too selective, you aren't overwhelmed, but a lot of disappointment. Better way is to be "normal" picky until you have like 5 matches, see if any of them can actually hold and conversation, and then go back to swiping if/when they fizzle.

Never been in this situation. Usually the opposite - my partner gets stressed out about dumb shit or screams over something minor, and I have to keep my cool. I would ask why women do this based on my experience.

The left grew lazy, because they really thought poor white guys were always automatically vote for them. So they stopped talking to them. Even worse is that they thought poor black and brown guys would always vote for them because "the right is racist"
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/25 12:42 AM

They are just as much of a factor. And things like having a "fridge body" or apple fat distribution cannot be changed. They are genetic like height is for men.

There's plenty of couples who work well as a team, but favor their spouse over their kids. That's not good either.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:10 AM

Growing up with parents who love each other more than they love the child is also damaging to children in a different way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:08 AM

Parents who focus on their own relationship over their kids end up being neglectful of their kids' needs. It's a balance.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:07 AM

height is not an issue for men as it is for women. that is a huge difference. women dont deal with baldness to the same extent as men Women have other issues like fat distribution, hormonal problems, etc 95% of women can go from average to "hot" on this program. No, they can't.

Young men in the US have not become more right-wing than they were 20 or 30 years ago. Young women have become much more left-wing though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 01:02 AM

The Democrats had a handsome, young male influencer on their side. Then they cancelled him because for "manipulation" because he was talking to multiple women at the same time. Pretty much sums up the left's struggles with young men. Even before that, the attacks on "Bernie Bros" (despite the fact that IME, most of the diehard Bernie supporters were young women), was very telling.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 12:56 AM

I think those are more common than substance abuse as a coping mechanism tbh. Even most drinkers don't necessarily turn to the bottle when they are depressed.

You can get into better shape. You can work on your skincare like women do. You can get a better haircut and style. Hell, you can hop on fin if your hairloss is still early stages. If you're really obsessed, you can get a TRT prescription to improve gym gains (or just find a steroid souce) Women have the same genetic factor as men. Everyone has a ceiling, but working on yourself is how you get there.

You should speak her native language too Not hard if you move abroad.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 04:23 AM

No because I'd marry a woman from Russia, China, Türkiye (and many others, just examples that are clearly outside of "The West"). I just bring it up because I've recently seen "passport" type guys try to claim countries that are very obviously "Western", like Colombia, as outside of "The West". It seems like more and more slop content creators define "The West" as "settler colonies that speak English". Like would these guys consider Quebec or Jamaica not "The West"? Utter lunacy.

that are financial traders or entrepreneurs are degenerates like sex workers I mean yes. "Degenerate gambler" is an old, old phrase, and there is a heavy overlap between traders and gamblers. Crypto traders proudly call themselves "degens". "Entrepreneurs" aren't much better. They often have an irrational self confidence even when the odds aren't really in their favor. I said it gets exponentially harder for every inch below 5"8", not that it's a hard barrier. 5'8" is basically average. 5'7" is a lot harder. 5'6" is a lot harder than 5'7". 5'5" is extremely difficult. 5'4" and below, not gonna make it unless you passport + you are "hard" and really get down like a local in lower-tier Latin America/Asia. Shorter men get called napoleon's if they have a napoleon complex. Again, research Halo and Devil complex. Shorter men get called "Napoleon complex" for things…

/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:54 AM

Do these K-Pop girlies not realize that South Korea has one of the biggest gender divides on the planet, with Korean men being notoriously sexist and misogynists relative to other "developed" nations? Like the "4B" movement started there for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:53 AM

They're just riffing. Why would he reject a tall queen with a sense of humor? A little bit of teasing from a woman is a better sign than being boring. It goes compliment > light tease >>> joke/question about your profile >> hardcore tease >>>>>>>>>>>>> generic "hey"

Most of them assume it's not gonna come up + have no options that will care. It's "fast money", no different than guys who are "entrepreneurs" or "traders" for years with no plan other than "get the bag". It's empowering in the sense that they have a niche that they can exploit, and plenty of men can respect that. I wouldn't necessarily avoid a sex worker for dating (though they often have other red flags that are not unique to sex work, just more common in that subgroup)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/25 03:44 AM

What is "Western"? Latin America is part of "The West" by any reasonable definition, as are many of the countries that passport bros used to go 10+ years ago like Poland, Czechia, Croatia, Hungary, etc since they are Western Christian (historically) + part of the EU. And even if you only restrict it to the US, Canada, and Western Europe, by definition like 50% of the women in those countries aren't native English speakers.

They WILL care if you are overcompensating for what you see as a shortcoming, which many do See the thing is, they project. Shorter men get called "Napoleon's" simply for trying to live their lives, acting far more calm and patient than a 6'2" guy with an attitude. Halo effect is real.

Yes, but also FACE and FRAME. Tbh for most guys, if you excel at least 1/3, and you're "decent" (not super deficient) in the other 2, you'll do fine. It's guys who are average or below average at all 3, or very below average in 1+ category (i.e. 5'6" or shorter plus ugly, or 5'10" with an average face and weak frame) who really struggle.

Why? Going to prostitues is extremely trad + lindy. They call it the "oldest profession" for a reason (even if that's not strictly true). The "meta" shifts on these things. For a while, speed dating was seen as lame and mostly a sausage fest. There's quite a few posts on Reddit like "why did no men come to my speed dating event" because men haven't got the "vibe switch" info. And these issues impact everyone, not just young men. A lot of women are basically being "brain rotted" because they are stuck in some isolated, car dependent area. It's not even "organized" activities. Back in the day before the internet if a man wanted to express interest in a woman he had to do it in person. as practice for my attempt to go to a bar for new years eve. New Years Eve is literally amateur hour. One of the worst nights of the year to try to "get laid" next to St Patrick's Day. Less than zero. Owning a flashy BMW M3 is actually probably a negative for the type of women I typically date (they'll assume you're an insecure douchebag unless you charmed them beforehand). It literally only matters that you own a car, and even then, if you're a super dedicated bicycle bro who's in good shape because you bike/walk/transit everywhere and "rebel" against the idea that you need a car, that can be a bonus for some women. Most women want a guy who's self-reliant and isn't asking th…

There's a lot of pressure for men to be in romantic relationships that women cast aside. Men get the same amount of pressure from parents, relatives, family friends, etc. to "settle down" and be in a relationship. Also, men who are single past a certain age are seen as literally dangerous by society in a way that older single women are not.

I'd argue 22 since that's the age most people finish college (and people who don't go to college are stupid/low impulse and tend to fuck way younger than that anyway). If you can't some sort of sexual/romantic experience by the time you finish college, you're in the "delayed" category.

Politics does not matter. There's far more other factors here based on personal preference since liberal vs conservative has a big demographic component in the US. "Protein" is overrated by a lot of people. You only need like 1g/kg bodyweight plus a little extra unless you're juicy. Average guy who targets 75-90kg BW, 100-125 grams a day is sufficient, and you'll probably hit that with 1 decent meal + 2 "do whatever"

It's wild to me that these tropes are still talked about (both Entourage and Sex and the City) in places like this when they are literally 20+ years old at this point. Like I am an old fogey at 30, and I was in grade school when these shows premiered, the cast are basically my parents/aunts/uncles age. "Vanderpump Rules" (Jaxx is the prototypical 'alpha' male) and the 90 Day Fiance series should be discussed way more than this Xer bullshit.

People having kids at 21 was an unmitigated disaster for society. The generation that got married at 19 and started popping out kids at 20 also had incredibly high divorce rates, lots of "latch key kids", etc. The norm for most of history was that people typically got married more like their mid-20s, when they were a bit more mature and established. Even then, there was a lot of marital problems (men drinking up the whole paycheck, neglected mothers taking their frustrations out on their kids, e…

Driving is a necessity, not a privilege in the US. That's why even when people get their license revoked after a DUI, there's still often exceptions to drive to work, or a curfew where they can still get groceries, go to medical appointments, etc during the day. Plus it's arbitrary since some people get DUIs at checkpoints even if they didn't do anything wrong on the road. Grow up. "DUI" without injury is basically the same as shoplifting. Should shoplifters be banished from life?

This quiz is better. The animal chronotypes are schlock science based on a lot of stereotypes. https://cet.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Morningness-Eveningness-Self-assessment-from-cet.org_.pdf

Basically an "intermediate" chronotype. Chronotypes are broadly classified as "Morning" (Lion), "Evening" (Wolf), and "Intermediate" (Bear). Bruess adds a fourth type - Dolphin - for people who have trouble sleeping in general. The "animal" chronotypes are pop science that's based on a lot of stereotypes, so it's not super accurate. The "Morning-Eveningness Questionnaire" is better since it's based only on behavior, not stereotypes.

A stereotypical "Wolf" aka "Night Owl" thinks 11pm is a very early bed time., so you're probably a morning person. Though people can force themselves to adapt. The real difference between "morning" and "evening" types is more like "are you more awake/alert at 9am or 9pm". Or "what time of day do you feel your best"?

It's not even ratio sometimes. Sometimes it's just sheer numbers. Dating in NYC or Boston is definitely easier for men than San Francisco or Seattle, but even San Francisco or Seattle are far, far easier than some random town that only has 250,000 people in a 50 mile radius. Plus, there's other factors that come into play based on local "vibe", demographics, etc. Some guys will absolutely slay in a place like LA and only do "OK" in DC, and vice versa.

US: 18 seems young based on my personal experience, but I know that Zoomers are a bit more "behind the curve" compared to Milennials, let alone what Gen X and Boomers were doing. Girls having babies at 16, 17 wasn't unusual when I was growing up (I'm early 30s), especially in poorer areas. Some people were having sex as early as 13 or 14 among my peers, 17-18ish was the "norm", 20-21 was definitely "late bloomer" territory, so the average was probably closer to about 17.

My theory is that wealthy men who are in the more image-focused industries (like Hollywood or music) are more likely to prioritize looks over everything else in a partner. People in Hollywood and music are also often good looking themselves, at least when they are young (with the exception of the "producers" like Weinstein). That's largely nonsense. The US pays better because there's lots of VC money floating around to fund startups which trickles down. The smarter startups are actually starting to outsource to places in Europe because they can get the equivalent talent to the US for 30-50% of the price, and fewer time zone/culture barriers than BHARAT.

Nothing else pays well in Europe either. And there's actually a lot of engineers in the cheaper parts of Europe like Poland, Romania, Serbia, who make decent money relative to the cost of living in their country (i.e., like 60k is like the equivalent of 100-120k in the US, and taxes arent as bad).

Doing a 1 rep max is a skill in itself. The calculators are a rough estimate based on people who train primarily for strength. If you mostly do sets of 5-10 and don't regularly do "maxes", you'll probably underperform. 285 and 305 are both big benches unless you're a huge guy and/or train specifically for powerlifting. because they are not set back as much as women are when they have a baby. Child support is financially ruinous to men. And women can be sure that the child is there's. Men cannot unless the woman allows a paternity test, and many will strong arm men into getting put on child support even without a test, and the biased family court will support them.

This is not always the case. Some women will be absolutely brutal even if a guy just says "hey, how are you doing". Anything from literally going limp/numb like he's not even a person to actually causing a scene like he tried to grope her. It's Schroedinger's crazy girl. Most women don't act like this, but men have no way of knowing which women are nuts like that.

In the US, general rule is that any group of girls larger than about 3 means that they do not want attention from men. Even if some/most of them are single and open to a guy, general vibe is that it's "girls night" and they don't want their friends running off with a "random" guy. There's always a "queen bee" mother figure who will shut it down... Even if they happen to click with a group of guys, pairing off is discouraged. Girls go in groups of 2-3, or alone, if they really want to be approach…

I'm saying enjoy life for yourself and you won't be such a mothball who never gets dates. That is not how it works for men!! It's very common for men to enjoy their lives, go out to eat, travel, have hobbies, and simply not meet any women. Women don't want to talk to men like men want to talk to women, unless you go to the right spots and learn the right rules. So go king, tell me all about how I wrong I am while continuing to not have any success. You are not a man. You talk to lots of people w…

Yes, living life that doesn't revolve around chasing pussy is the literal point. You don't understand how it works. It's not about "chasing pussy". A lot of men will literally never even meet a woman to go on a date with if they don't make it a priority. Men are not constantly flooded with options unless they are in certain environments. It's extremely easy for a man to never meet a decent woman, let alone actually know how to talk to her, if he doesn't practice and/or get advice. You're basical…

You should do all of those things if you enjoy them, but they won't get you a woman. That's the point. These are all "nice things to do for life", but living a good life does not get you a girlfriend. Telling men "just enjoy your life and a GF will happen" does not help them. It's Dope with a C.

I'll be polite, but men seem to forget that "No" is a complete sentence. 99% of men understand "No". The problem is that many women go from 0 to 100 and think that they need to get men banned, roughed up, or called "perverts" simply because they said hello to a woman. A lot of women cannot simply say "No" without creating a scene.

Then why even get married at all? The point of marriage is to combine finances. You should have enough saved as a couple anyway that the mortgage and bills can be paid even if one partner gets laid off from their job. Job lay offs are just a fact of life, so really having a mortgage that you can't afford on one spouse's income is just irresponsible in general.. Having separate accounts is insane unless there's some sort of family business/trust fund involved.

Right wing men being overrepresented in "fitness culture" does not mean that every single man who goes to the gym is right wing. Plenty of liberal and left wing men lift weights. Journalists are their own strange class of people, they aren't even representative of the typical liberal young woman. Also, you misread those articles. The point of them is that neo-Nazi groups are using fitness culture as a Trojan horse to attract young men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:06 PM

In large blue cities like NYC, women assume that a man who calls himself a "centrist" is a conservative who is lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:03 PM

When you say conservative men are more masculine, did you mean to say they’re old and obese? Young men and old men are the exact same amount of "Conservative". There no significant age gap in politics anymore in the US, except among young women who are far more left wing than their mothers and grandmothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 09:02 PM

NYC has a high ratio of single young women to single young men. That's why there's "lonely women" in NYC. It has nothing to do with politics or the men being "soy boys". When women in big, blue cities complain about the "lack of masculine men", they don't mean they're all limp-wrested skinny fat weirdos. They mean that they aren't "chivalrous" in the sense of paying for dates, seeking commitment, walking on the street side of the sidewalk, etc. Also a lot of these women have strange triggers aro…

IME, the most outspoken "feminist", "leftist" women are also the biggest girly-girls, into stereotypical feminine things, fetishize being "frail uwu smol beans", submissive, etc. They mean they want a guy who holds the door, isn't poly, takes initiative in the relationship, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:55 PM

Basically she wants a man with a BAPian (Bronze Age Pervert, an extreme rightwing nietzchian movement, for those not terminally online) fascist aesthetic with liberal values. I think you need to log off for a bit. Lifting weights is not a "fascist aesthetic" in the eyes of anyone sane.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:51 PM

That's a delusion that "strong sturdy blue collar" men have. Getting your physique through gym/training for sport (which is really a simulation of war) is far more masculine than toiling in a field.

Dating in the US is hard for a variety of reasons. Basically any foreign country outside of US/Canada (besides like India or backwaters in the Middle East that don't have expats) seems "easy" for men due to the fact that you can live in a major city for far cheaper than you can in North America.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 03:18 PM

All those are easy, sign me up. Any man can achieve those if he tries whereas in the West, your fate is determined at birth by your genetic height.

I live in a socially conservative part of the United States. People get married at around 24-25 here. There is no "party scene". Many people are quite religious and go on apps "lookng for a life partner".
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/24 03:15 PM

Women are bad at giving dating advice because their advice is always skewed by their opinion of you. Women who are your friends have a positive bias towards you, and cannot put themselves in the shoes of other women who view you as disgusting, a "random", a weirdo, etc.

Compromise and sacrifice has to be made in order to ensure a healthy relationship Nope. Nobody is worth sacrificing your own needs. For instance, I saw a post on AITA where a guy was asking if he was in the wrong for being uncomfortable with his girlfriend wearing a g-string bikini to the beach He is wrong. A man cannot dictate what a woman choses to wear.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 09:05 PM

It's an even smaller handful of young men who have those things (and growing smaller). It's not growing smaller. Working out and fitness is far more popular with young guys than it is with crusty 50 year olds. Just because fewer young men go to college doesn't mean that there's not a significant number of them who did and make good money (25 year old men are more likely to have a degree than 50 year old men anyway). The number of rich, fit, young guys is increasing compared to 20 or 30 years ago…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 09:04 PM

My point was that the % of young men who can be described by Guy A is even smaller. No, it's not. You vastly underestimate how many young men are absolutely killing it, and overestimate how many old men are in good shape. It's like 10-15% of the young guys vs less than 5% of the 50 year olds. This is "bope" as the Bloods would say by aging Gen Xers.

Guy A is still far more common than Guy B. There's a lot of young guys who make good money with online businesses (grey hat or black hat usually, i.e. practically scams) even if they didn't finish college. Plus, the guys who do finish college still have a lot of potential to out earn women. The number of guys in their 40s and 50s who take care of their health is pretty small. Too much attention and investment is a turn off for women though. They like to be given breadcrumbs. That's basically a lot of what the "red pill" was about. Heartiste has a "3 to 2" rule - you only give back about 2/3 of the attention/affection/interest that a woman gives to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/24 06:49 PM

If you want a woman who's anywhere near a healthy BMI and you aren't a cuckold, odds are very slim if you're shorter than 5'8" in the US unless you're under 25 and find a unicorn with rock bottom self-esteem.

It's not the same dating a 20 secretary with little responsabilities that dating a 40 yo with a manager position that has to travel to other cities once a week. The 40 year old manager has more time to have fun because she wants to "let her hair down". She'll invite you to go on trips with her if she likes you. Old men are simps, that's how they were raised. I'm a 30 year old Boomer, so not quite that generation. There's a difference between "buying a drink for girl you've never talked to" like the Old Heads do and "offering to buy a round after you've chatted for 20 minutes" though.

They don't do it to women either
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:48 PM

It's a mix of: Old men have more money so buying a drink doesn't phase them as much. $15 means a lot less if you make $150k a year and have $1 mil net worth vs being a broke 23 year old Old men, if they're older than like 40 especially, came from a time when spending money on women was more "the norm", and there wasn't so much hand wringing about "being a simp"
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:40 PM
8

I disagree with the "more fun" part. I think fun and seriousness is largely a personality trait that doesn't change much with age. At 21, most people are still single, so the dating pool consists of both the serious and the not so serious types. By 28, 29, the "serious" types are mostly gone while the "have fun" types make up a larger portion. The idea that women "suddenly turn 30 and start chasing responsible guys/demand commitment" just doesn't happen like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 06:38 PM
10

Depends on how young. Most guys are better looking at 25 vs 21. 32 vs 25, not so much, best case is they hold onto their looks/get in even better shape.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 01:11 PM

You can watch "what they do", and the results are the same. You have never been outside if you think women are lining up for the roid-monster huge guys vs the "swimmer's physique" guys or the "lean and athletic" type guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 01:09 PM

I disagree, it's probably close to even. Whereas the vast majority of women prefer "lean but toned" over "bodybuilder huge and ripped".

Using OLD how difficult is it to send messages to 10 women in a day or two days How many guys do you think get 10 matches every 2 days? If you don't pay for the app, you only get like 10-20 right swipes a day, so that's a 25-50% match rate. Even if you do pay, the odds that you get 5 likes a day from women you actually want to date is pretty low after your first 1-2 weeks on the app (might never happen if you live in a more sparsely populated area or you have a dealbreaker like height or r*ce)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/24 12:43 PM

If you don't live in a major city, it's totally possible. I think there's about 1000 total single, childless, age appropriate, decent looking women within a 20-25 mile radius of me (and I don't mean 19-21 BMI). And it's not like you're gonna run into them all.

Men are also more likely to die from murder, suicide, drug overdoses, and car accidents. Those tend to happen at a younger age, so they have a big impact on the life expectancy gap as well. In the US, 95% of male 20 year olds make it to age 40 vs 97.5% of female 20 year olds. That's a large chunk of the life expectancy gap, and 20/30 somethings are not dying of a heart attack.

It's not made for women. Women are smarter on average than men, but men have a much higher variance in intelligence. So there's a lot more boys than girls in special Ed classes, and more boys than girls in highly advanced classes, academic competition winners, etc. even though the average girl slightly outperforms the average boy. That's why gender segregation makes no sense because it doesn't account for outliers.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/24 06:40 PM

That hurts high performing boys who are ready for school at age 6.

The solution is for the problem boys to leave school after 8th grade to go work in the mines, logging camps, join the merchant marine, etc to get a SKILL and contribute. Learning requires sitting still and paying attention. The upper 20-30% of boys who can handle it and dominate the class should stay, the rest should go be rowdy with "the lads" somewhere dangerous and away from society.

Women get more education than men, but women tend to chose careers that pay less/have less economic value. An electrician makes about the same as a teacher on average, but the electrician doesn't need a degree.

I think it's largely fake. Women who enjoyed sex at the time suddenly "don't" if they feel scorned by a guy. See for example how women will trash talk their exes, some how they all happen to have a "small dick" and "can't fuck right" if was an asshole. I do think more women than men in general do struggle to achieve orgasm due to abuse of SSRIs and sex toys. But this happens in both relationships and casual sex.

I would say the lack of social inhibition matters more. People with "street smarts" often have incredibly poor social skills. They are loud and rude. They often can't control their temper in public. They are often involved in "drama" over the dumbest things. Many of them come across like grown teenagers. But they get dates and relationships with other people who are also underdeveloped
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 01:37 PM

I wouldn't say it's a "nice guy" issue, but rather a "too much inhibition" issue. "Bang the single mother raw? Hell yeah get them guts" is the attitude the working class guy has. "Am I being respectful when I approach? Do I have protection?" is the attitude the upper middle class guy has.

Random means you're more likely to be seen by people if you fit a "niche" that otherwise gets buried by the algorithm. The "algorithm" doesn't account well for people that might have a sense of humor or style that is attractive to a minority of people but not also gets a lot of left swipes. The point is that it should be like "hot or not" for everyone in your area using the app that has a mutual filter fit. I've never received a like from a woman outside of my age range. Why even bother requiring feedback then? The main way to make dating apps better is to limit the algorithm (just show people in your area, pure random), and require "mutual fit" on filters like age, distance, height. Part of the reason women get flooded with likes is that many of the guys who swipe on them are too old, too young, too far away, wrong height, etc, but those guys still get shown the profile of girls who will never see them unless they have premium

Women find an equal number of men attractive as men do women IMO. The difference is that a lot more men have unfixable traits like being too short or going bald at a young age. There's no real "unfixable" traits for women.

Male feminists are far more likely to be predators, and Antifa Leftist Feminist women are far more likely to have "kinks" that are borderline pro-rape. It's a perfect match.

Do scantily clad women deserve unwanted sexual attention? No If you present yourself in a certain way, you can't control who is going to express interest. Attention is extremely different from sexual assault.

No, it does not. The only key variable here is promiscuity. People from all walks of life are hoes and fuckboys.

It has nothing to do with city, domain, or politics. Drunks hang out with other drunks. Hoes hang out with other hoes.

Because straight men outnumber straight women, and the issue is compounded by cultural factors that shame promiscuous women (they do still exist) and also geographic factors (due to the local economy, some places have a huge number of men, some have a huge number of women).

Social circles tend to "cluster" on a lot of behaviors. If you do cocaine and drink a lot, the people in your social circle are more likely than the overall population to also do cocaine and/or drink heavily. If you're promiscuous and cheat in relationships, your friends are more likely to be promiscuous and cheat in relationships.

Tinder in the early days was pretty nice too. Much higher swipe limits, less refined algorithm.

We had that before tinder.. It sucked. No one used it. Tinder was great when it first came out, before they started adding paywalls to things. And people did use online dating before Tinder. It's just that the "internet" in general was less popular before smartphones, more strange people.

It was much better. You just sent messages to people you were interested in, and you could take various user developed "quizes" to show off your personality as well as the typical dating profile sections. I used to take those quizes all the time, even when I was underage/not interested in dating online (you didn't need an account to take them).

uh they also get harassed off the app by all the men taking their dating woes out on random women No, they don't. I guarantee most women have not had that happen. They hear shit from a minority of women that meet a weird guy, and project.

The 90% number came from a snapshot of Tinder users in Italy. India, not Italy. Tinder is roughly 50/50 male/female in the EU, 65/35 in the US.

The only way to fix dating apps would cause them to be unprofitable. Dating apps worked well when the "algorithm" was very basic, and you had a ton of swipes, if not unlimited. Basically, they work if you just show people with matching distance and age filters, in a random stack, with no "scoring", and tons of swipes (maybe something like 30 right swipes a day to filter out bots or people who spam right swipes). No showing "likes". No "scores". Just "hot singles in your area". Limiting matches i…

Fringe interests where men and women interact often lead to relationships, who knew? Marriage is pretty wild, but people have been getting in relationships or even marriages from niche internet forums or even MMO games as long as the Internet has been around. It's not the same. How many adult women have a medical clitoral hood removal vs how many men have medical circumcisions as adults?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 03:10 AM

That's not how it works. It's a religious ceremony performed on an infant for some religions. I'm against routine circumcision myself, but banning it all together is akin to banning religious slaughter of animals that some religions require. Also, male circumcision is not anywhere as destructive as FGM. Some men end up needing a medical circumcision as adults due to issues like Phimosis. There's basically no medical reason why an adult woman would need the equivalent of FGM..That doesn't mean ba…

Over 90% of men are heterosexual, and less than 75% of women are. Not to mention that there's already more men than women (roughly 105 men to every 100 women). If you're in your 20s, there ends up being almost 130 straight men for every 100 straight women. Tough odds.

You do need to go aggressive because you're young and you can afford to take risks. The time for DCAing and playing it cool are when you're like 25 and settling down. Right now, you either get lucky and get rich, or just end up with slightly less. The amount of money you make from working is gonna "compound" more than anything besides a moonshot.
