No you're obviously personally invested in this issue. It obviously plays a role, if not the primary driver. Body shaming for obesity is ubiquitous in East Asian culture and not coincidentally they have by far the lowest obesity rates in the developed world. Food in America hasn't suddenly gotten worse in the past decade, the culture and beauty standards have changed.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 02:17 PM
2

Obesity rates were roughly 33% lower than what they are today when skinny was the beauty standard though.

What is better for a society: a little bit of body dysmorphia or widespread obesity? The past decade is the only time in recorded history that the average life expectancy has decreased and it's primarily due to obesity and correlated metabolic diseases (eg Type 2 diabetes) https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2023/03/25/1164819944/live-free-and-die-the-sad-state-of-u-s-life-expectancy

Gotcha. Elon is definitely an outlier lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 08:28 PM

Lol that's just two people and I just mentioned Elon to show why the fertility rate looks higher than it actually is among the ultra rich (almost all men who frequently remarry). Look at statistical averages, the rich have way less children than poor people.

The housing crisis is primarily due to NIMBYism and backwards zoning laws IMO
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 08:16 PM
1

This is incorrect though. The poor have the most children in most developed nations, middle class has fewer, and the rich have even fewer. The only exception to this is the ultra rich, likely because: They can pay for full-time hired help The ultra rich skews heavily male. The divorce rate is very high among this demographic. It's men having multiple families with different women. The birth rate is predicated on how many children women are having, not men. Elon Musk for example has 14 children, …

I'm saying we need replacement level fertility or close to it, not growth. I don't know why you would possibly think this is some sort of "gotcha".

Countries can adjust things like pensions to be more sustainable but there is no system that can function if there are more retirees than working age people. There aren't enough workers for a tax base, nor are there enough workers to take care of the elderly. The only seemingly long shot goal (at least currently) is to advance AI and robotics to such a level that they can maintain countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 08:04 PM
1

I don't want that, I'm concerned that's where we headed. This along with affordable housing should be a top priority for politicians but at least in America most politicians are seemingly ignoring the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 08:02 PM
1

No it's not awesome this is such a nihilistic view of the world and misunderstanding of how countries operate. Look up population pyramids for countries like Italy. You simply cannot function as a country when there are two retirees for every working age person; you do not have enough workers to do basic things like healthcare, infrastructure, protection, etc, let alone enough of a tax base to provide healthcare and pensions to the elderly.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/25 07:45 PM

The real black pill is the realization that no developed, secular country on Earth has anywhere near replacement level fertility. Excluding immigration, most developed countries are losing around 1/3 of their population each generation, roughly the same as the Bubonic Plague.

I'm convinced we're going to go extinct once sex robots become a thing. Birthrate is already way below replacement in developed nations, once people can choose their Adriana Lima/Chris Hemsworth etc bot we're doomed.

I think he wants to distract people from the H1B visas and it's working extremely effectively. My conspiracy theory is Trump wants to start a trade war with Denmark to give Eli Lilly (American company) a larger market share. Eli Lilly makes a GLP-1 and 2 agonist that performs better than Ozempic (Danish company) at weight loss, but it came out after Ozempic so is struggling to compete.

There's a lot of studies on this but in most mental illness, men receive greater or equal benefit from group therapy than from individual therapy. Because group therapy is much cheaper, accessible, as well as more social, it makes sense to encourage men to go to group therapy. Some other key findings: Men are more likely to persist with group therapy than individual therapy. Men have a strong preference for male only group therapy, including the therapist. This is tangential but I think women's …

I definitely care if a woman has a career. I think it's attractive when a woman has a good career. I think there is a certain argument that a lot of men have, at least in America. Basically you're going to have to pay for everything anyway so you may as well pick the girl who makes less money because she will have lower expectations. If a girl makes great money and doesn't pay for anything in the relationship, how does that really benefit you as a man? The counterargument is that it will matter …

Most of the deaths during this time period were from WW2. The Soviet Red Army in June 1941 was 5.5 million men. By December, they had lost 4.4 million of them to the advancing Germans. Russia lost 4.4 million men in a little less than 6 months. The Germans also intentionally destroyed agricultural infrastructure which led to widespread famine that killed an additional 20 million Russians. Russia was also not considered a developing nation at this point (it still isn't), it had a higher GDP per c…

Here's some trivia. 68% of Russian men born in 1923 were dead by 1945. The enormous death total in this period, predominately male, led to an enormous gender imbalance. Reddit isn't real life. I would go so far as to say that if something is accepted on reddit the complete opposite is often true IRL. Anecdotally I've been on around 50 first dates in my life. Not a single woman has offered to pay for me. Maybe about 15 have offered to split the check but every one of them only offered once and I think were just being polite.

I don't know the cutoff but people around late 30s I'd say. I've also noticed this at the gym as well, there are more people in their 30s than in their 20s. Although women find it generally easier romantically, men generally find it way easier and more natural to make platonic relationships. Men bond quickly over shared physical activities. With women, their only option is to be friends with men who just wanna fuck them or be friends with women which obviously sucks. This is why women love having gay male friends.

Btw from the same link you posted about birthrates,it says that African nations have reported < 1 male/female birthrates "The estimated regional reference levels range from 1.031 (95% uncertainty interval [1.027; 1.036]) in sub-Saharan Africa to 1.063 [1.055; 1.072] in southeastern Asia, 1.063 [1.054; 1.072] in eastern Asia, and 1.067 [1.058; 1.077] in Oceania" The ratio in North Africa: 1.050 to 1.056. Statistical illiteracy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 01:21 AM

I'm not moving the goal post you are just illiterate. Women equal men in the 35-40 age group but there are more men than women until the mid 40s because there are way more men before that age. It's not hard to conceptualize how this is the case. The data you linked does not use US census data, it uses UN data and includes seasonal migrants which skew heavily male. Anyway you're probably right, in your case it's definitely not demographics that is preventing you from getting laid.

Your stats on male babies is misleading, you're taking global averages that are skewed by places with high population such as china and india. No I'm not. You could have easily looked this up. "In a study around 2002, the natural sex ratio at birth was estimated to be within a narrow range of 1.07 to 1.03 males/female." https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6511063/ From the UN: "Biological birth ratios are slightly male-biased, with an expected ratio of 105 male births per 100 female births.…

I'm convinced demographics explain the majority of what's discussed in this sub and gender relations in general. There is significantly more young single men than young single women because there is naturally 105 male babies for every 100 female babies. This explains the frustration of many young men in dating. The "wall" is just women equaling and then outnumbering men in the mid 30s. Dating has gotten much harder for men in developed countries but it's not because of online dating, feminism, o…

The wealth transfer also comes simply from women living substantially longer than men. Even in the most egalitarian societies there is a huge net wealth transfer from men to women because of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 09:34 PM

Yes it does. Most government programs are a wealth redistribution from men to women because women live longer than men. The two biggest of course being pensions and healthcare. It's not a free market because almost all governments force men to subsidize women.

The only things that have ever been linked to the birthrate are women's education, urbanization, secularization, and access to contraceptives/abortion. None of the things you mentioned have ever been shown to have any correlation with the birthrate. People, including you, just talk about whatever personally interests or suits them.

I've heard the following argument from Louise Perry: Nice men who would be good husbands no longer approach women very often or at all because they don't want to offend women or risk social ostracization. Dangerous, predatory men have never had it easier. They don't care what women think or if they are offended so they have no problem approaching. And due to lack of competition they've never had it easier. Perry argues that this has been one of the big negative side effects of the Me Too Movemen…

which men don't want this? Men who aren't in a transactional relationship lol. Have you never been in an egalitarian relationship? as opposed to what? Human beings? Partners? Equals? what are men like if you date thinking they are the prize (like plenty of our unhappy female friends and relatives did) Huh? Honestly most of these issues only happen within one community in the United States. I suspect that's why that community is so overrepresented on this sub and the gender wars space in general.

They're not. You can look up the data, but Gen Z is actually shorter than Millennials at the same age, even if you account for race. The hypothesis is that it's due to obesity, poor nutrition, and staying up late on digital media.

I posted two studies. You have no studies at all lmao. Like I said, you've already made up your mind. You don't get it. If you go into a transactional relationship, sooner or later the man is gonna want better value for his dollar. He's gonna eventually upgrade to a younger/more attractive woman. Respectively, you're obviously an outlier. You are either very unattractive or have very poor social skills. If you don't meet the threshold for looks/sociability money doesn't matter unless you are a billionaire. So long as you meet those bare minimum threshold, money matter quite a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 08:19 AM

No cycles, just low-dose TRT. Men's testosterone is more than 15% lower than same age males 20 years ago in the US. https://www.reuters.com/article/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/mens-testosterone-levels-declined-in-last-20-years-idUSKIM169763/ Yea Ozempic is crazy, it's basically driving the economic growth of Denmark rn.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 08:07 AM

In order to improve the birthrate and the aesthetics of our great nation men should be able to get medically prescribed testosterone at all ages. Women over BMI of 25 should be required to start ozempic like how we used to put fat housewives on amphetamines. For posterity and to defeat communism.

That's not a dichotomy at all though. Men are saying that most men only associate with women if they think it will lead to sex or assist in that goal (eg she will introduce him to her female friends). They are not saying that men are predators like you've stated.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 10:23 PM

I'm actually very happy with the status quo, it's a very easy filtering tool. Nearly 100% of the toxic, transactional, princess type women will demand that you plan and pay for everything and expect expensive dates. So simply drop these women and move on to the next; you just met her it's not like you have a deep connection. By doing so you will also filter out some decent women, but it's worth it to filter out almost all of the women who will ruin your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 09:39 PM

This is why I'm reluctant to date women who want to wait for sex. I can't help but think she's getting fucked my another dude. These types of women have basically ruined it for other women.

"From the “don’t say gay” law, which bans discussion of LGBTQ+ issues in the classroom, to laws helping parents challenge school library books they oppose, Ron DeSantis has turned Florida’s public schools into a culture war battleground – and the implementation of his laws has often veered into absurd territory. About 300 books were removed from library shelves last year. Some tea…

The countries that have the best maternity/paternity leave, free or heavily subsidized daycare, universal healthcare, and stable economies (eg Nordic countries) have among the lowest birthrate in the world. The only three things that have been shown to be closely linked to birthrate are secularization, urbanization, and increasing women's education-all three are inversely related. If the status quo is maintained the world will almost certainly become more religious as religious folks in both the…

All this post does is confirm my suspicion that you are a woman. most of the dudes in the ''experiment'' were 5s at best (in terms of physical attractions) Compared to who, Olympic athletes? These men were all above average, only women think like this. Also, if you were a man you would have gone into extensive detail about their height. If you were a man you would have known this. I think what is more likely is that South Korea is going to become majority Christian in the near future. At turn of the 20th century, Korea was around 1% Christian, whereas it's now around 32% Christian. This is due to evangelization and because Christians have a much higher birthrate. Depending on the denomination, Christians have anywhere from a 50% to 100%+ higher birthrate than the secular population (www.pewresearch.org/religion/2022/09/13/modeling-the-future-of-religion-in-america). I kind of had a feeling you'd do this. You cherry picked one of the fastest growing cities not the "average American city". You also cherry picked the dates when I specifically mentioned in the past 100 years. The American population has grown about 300% over the past 100 years, not 2000%. And I would still argue that it's flourished. Anyway, have a good one.

Flourish: noun. Grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way. Yes, it was absolutely flourishing because it was growing steadily and rapidly. You don't seem to know the definition of the word, it has nothing to do with how widespread or influential something is.

This isn't historically accurate. It "flourished" in that it was growing at a rapid rate. "Beginning with less than 1000 people, by the year 100, Christianity had grown to perhaps one hundred small household churches consisting of an average of around seventy members each. It achieved critical mass in the hundred years between 150 and 250 when it moved from fewer than 50,000 adherents to over a million." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Christianity#:~:text=Beginning%20with%20less%20than…

Your male friends could introduce you to their female friends and family. They could invite you to parties where you could meet women. Besides romance it can open up a lot of career opportunities. The real question is how would the dating world change if men couldn’t feel pleasure from sex or orgasm unless their female partner also did We would have died off as a species a long time ago, which is why female orgasms are not necessary for reproduction in any species on Earth.

That list from true rate me is absurd. Ed Sheeran is rated as a 4 or bottom 15% per their scale. Alex Rodrigues is rated as a 5 or 50th percentile. This is just a misunderstanding of how the American economy works. Very little is regulated at the federal level (at least in comparison to Europe), most benefits come from specific states, counties and most commonly, employers. You're delusional. Look at the size of his arms. This is years of training and a strict diet if you aren't using steroids.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 02:19 AM

this is an incredibly easy standard for men to fulfill Do you realize that to obtain a body like this you have to spend ~5 hours at the week at the gym, track your macros, and weigh your food? Almost no woman spends this amount of time per week to look good. You think that male beauty standards are lower because you have no idea how much effort it takes to build a nice physique and your standards are completely out of wack.

If 50% of men marry after age 30, and only 10% of marriages involve a 5 year gap, a 5 year gap is not standard past age 30. "Some 20% of men who are newly remarried have a wife who is at least 10 years their junior, and another 18% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger. By comparison, just 5% of newlywed men in their first marriage have a spouse who is 10 years younger, and 10% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger." That means for first-time marriage, 15% of men marry a woman who is 6 yea…

Damn. Are people super upset about this? If so, who do they blame? Sorry if I'm being nosy but I'm always curious about this.

1

And? Out of curiosity are you a native English speaker?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 05:23 AM
1

Yes that's because you're only looking at people under 30. You don't make sense, when did I even say "college age" people? Also why are you only focusing on people in their 20s, is it because you're in your 20s? Let me put this simply: I suspect that if you solely look at people getting married, first time or otherwise, over the age of 25, the age gap is much larger than people getting married under the age of 25. The data I linked seems to support that. Anyways, have a great day.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 05:05 AM

Where do Vietnamese/Laotian men go then?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 04:29 AM

That doesn't prove anything. That data is only for the first marriage, and once again it is skewed by people typically dating people their age under age 25.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 04:26 AM
1

Ok then prove it isn't. The only data that I can find is that remarriage age gaps are much larger. "Some 20% of men who are newly remarried have a wife who is at least 10 years their junior, and another 18% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger. By comparison, just 5% of newlywed men in their first marriage have a spouse who is 10 years younger, and 10% married a woman who is 6-9 years younger." https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2014/12/04/tying-the-knot-again-chances-are-theres-a-bigge…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 04:13 AM

Ok miss belligerent I never said that it was "typical" I said that it was probably skewing the data and that people post university age likely have a larger age gap. Nothing you've said disproves that it any way.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 04:02 AM
0

I don't know why you're so hostile. But yes people still marry their college bf or gf lmao. And those median numbers don't support your argument at all, just think about it for a moment. If people are marrying their high school/college sweetheart and they are roughly the same age, but the median is 2 years, then older people must have a larger gap.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 03:38 AM
2

Tbf this is probably skewed by a lot of people marrying their high school/university sweetheart. I think past that age a ~5 year age gap is pretty standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 03:25 AM

Saying someone is "not the best" is a euphemistic way of saying someone's bad at something. If you go to a nice restaurant and the chef asks you how the food is and you reply "not the best," the chef will likely offer to refund your food.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 10:35 PM

You don't gossip about your sex life?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 04:15 PM

The issue is her gossiping about their sex life without his consent and talking shit about him to their mutual friend group. I'd be pretty devastated too and wouldn't trust her anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 03:41 PM

I strongly dislike people who do this. I think sex is something deeply intimate and shouldn't be shared with others without my consent-especially if it's not in a positive light. Guy overreacted but I would also feel deeply betrayed.

20/80 rule is kind of a thing. A small percentage of guys are on the dating apps and going out with different women every night. That adds up to a pretty large number. Ok but how is that applicable to what I said? I'm talking about the inverse of that, 80% of men can do enough to find it easy to date by finding their niche and getting in great shape. If you're pursuing a niche then it takes a lot more than what you're describing I used to go to a Crossfit gym and everyone was fucking each other.…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 07:11 AM
1

Well I bet you would find it harder if you were short and skinny lol. I don't know your situation, but I think looks only matter if you meet the other thresholds-sociability, career, emotional stability, etc. If you are an outlier in one of these categories it's going to be hard to find a partner no matter how attractive you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 07:01 AM
3

It's not that difficult but 70% of America is overweight or obese. Of the remaining 30% a lot of people are skinny fat and still have a fairly high bodyfat percentage. Being lean is more than enough for I'd guesstimate 80% of men-it won't make a difference though for the bottom 20% who are very unlucky genetically. I completely disagree with you here. Finding your niche as a man is hugely beneficial, even if it's a small segment of the population who finds you attractive. Ever notice how the ban…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 06:28 AM
2

I was thinking more the skinny rock star look. Not all woman like this but like I said there's a huge supply-demand imbalance. If 10% of woman like your look but only 1% of men have it, you're in a good place. Conversely, someone who has say a dad bod-there are women who legitimately like it, lets say 25%. But if 60% of men have that physique it's not going to do you any favors. I'm obviously only talking about if you're single though.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 06:22 AM
8

Being in great shape is hugely beneficial. Almost every man's face looks better with low bodyfat-depending on the man somewhere between 8-14% bodyfat. If you live in the West, unless you are a competitive runner, athlete, or bodybuilder, your bodyfat is likely way higher than that. It's definitely true not every woman likes a muscular physique, maybe only 25% do. But only ~2% of people have a muscular body. There is thus a huge supply-demand imbalance. It's similar to how skinny tall guys do so …

Every relationship I was in was like this during that age. I was in 3 serious relationship from 15-25 or so. Now I'm in my 30s and I prefer to have sex once a day typically, most women I've dated seem to have roughly the same libido.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 11:31 PM

I was working far more than 8 hours a day and having sex 2-3 time a day in my early to mid 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 11:14 PM

Well assuming the rule is true; 70% of America is overweight, obese, or morbidly obese. So simply being in good shape is likely good enough for like 90% of dudes.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/24 11:11 PM

You're right-forget romance there's a huge problem with lack of interpersonal relationships in general. There's a famous book from the 90s, "Bowling Alone", that discussed this issue long before social media. The book notes that somewhat counterintuitively humans become far less social as they urbanize, and all developed nations are becoming increasingly urbanized. It also argues that secularization leads to less socialization and increased loneliness across society.

Governments will do nothing IMO. Countries like Japan, Italy, and Spain have been dealing with this for decades and haven't found a solution. Article shows single sex girl schools still perform better than single sex boys schools despite boys raising their scores a bit. "Across public comprehensive boys’ schools there was a median success rate of 13.5 per cent - up from 9.8 per cent five years ago – and now narrowly overtaking girls. Let me put it this way: if girls were struggling half as much as boys are it would be a nationwide emergency. The whole structure of education would change, there would programs to reform education, there would be huge scholarship programs (like there has been with encouraging women to enter STEM), and it would be constantly all over the news. But when boys are struggling, you have the audacity to say it's because they're lazy and "fuck around". It's not true (as evident by same-sex schools), it…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 07:31 AM
1

Yes it does. Your whole premise is that boys are performing worse because of media, because boys "fuck around" more than girls, and because they don't work as hard at home. But for some reason this doesn't happen at all in single-sex schools, even in charter schools where most of the boys are raised by single mothers. But it sounds like you'll fit like a glove in Education.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 07:02 AM

No I think a lot of it is sexism. Female teachers have an innate bias towards female students as they are better able to connect and relate to them. The school structure also heavily penalizes boys for being boys. Both girls and boys perform academically in single-sex schools, but boys perform more than twice as well while women only perform 45% better. "Boys in coed classes scored 37% proficient on standardized tests. Girls in coed classes scored 59% proficient on standardized tests. Boys in si…

Two random thoughts related to technology: The future of AI chatbots is not in AI gfs/bfs, these will stay niche in the near future. The future of these chatbots is in therapy. There is a massive, lucrative market in therapy and AI chatbots will be be preferrable for a lot of people due to the anonymity and the ability to use it at anytime. The target audience of AI powered sexbots will not be young sexless men. These men don't have enough money and aren't going to be a big enough market. The fu…

That makes sense and is probably describing the same concept. Anecdotally I used to work at the VA and the most effective mental health treatment we found for returning veterans was group carpentry. Basically we got some money from a donor and turned a local store into a woodworking shop where all the vets could learn a trade, build things together, and work out their problems together. We ended up having lower suicide rates than any of the neighboring VA hospitals.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 09:21 AM

You're welcome, I find this topic interesting as well. I personally think a lot of the rise in mental health problems, especially in men, is because people are no longer participating in group activities as much as they used to. From church to bowling leagues and everything in between, people spend way more time online than interacting in person. You thereby lose these unofficial group therapy sessions.

It is part of the reason that traditional therapy is so much less effective for men.

That's an interesting article, thanks. It seems universities are doing this out of self-interest because they fear too uneven of a gender ratio will lead to a worse experience for students. It's also interesting that women have successfully sued universities for prioritizing men so schools are doing this discreetly.

That's because FWB/situationship is just a euphemism for long-term casual sex. 95% of the time if you liked having sex with someone and they were your friend you would just be in a committed romantic relationship with them. All of these things are indicators of interest but have plausible deniability of just being non-romantic friendliness. This has been my experience and all my friends too. A woman expresses interest and the guy decides to pursue it or not. I feel like it's pretty rare to successfully initiate things as a guy without some sort of initial interest-that might just be my social circle though.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/24 11:50 PM
3

Nothing too crazy just made it obvious that they were interested. For example, my last girlfriend I met at work and she would take her lunch breaks when I did and walk with me to the parking lot after work. She would also laugh at my shit jokes. I asked her out though.

I'm not short and I don't struggle with dating so this isn't about me, that might be difficult for you to understand though. I never said they only date 6'2 men literally anywhere. And that's really not how the math works anyway, a lot of short men remove themselves from the dating pool. If you actually look into the data the average height of the married male is 5'11 in America whereas the average height is 5'9, which implies that height plays a huge role in romantic attraction. "Cohen also ana…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 02:10 PM

That's interesting and more or less matches my experiences too. I suspect a lot of "hook up culture" is basically just rage-bait and propelled by the gender wars narrative on social media over the past 5 years or so. I'm not sure if values have shifted or rather young people are simply way less social than in years past, and thus less likely to have sex. I think with the rise of digital media people have become progressively less social but the Covid quarantine really accelerated this process.

I'd just like to see if young people are having less hook-ups than previous generations. /r/PurplePillDebate05/01/24 04:09 AM

Yea that's fair. Ultimately I think we will have a resurgence in religion as religious groups are the only ones with an above replacement level birthrate.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 06:46 AM
4

I think the East Asian countries have the resources and governance sufficient to manage their countries demographic shifts. South Korea's birth rate this year is projected to be 0.72. If this rate stays steady (the data seems to actually suggest it will drop even further) it means that they'll lose around 2/3 of their population each generation. For reference this is more impactful than the Bubonic Plague, which killed 30-60% of the population in Europe.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 04:04 AM
3

This intuitively makes sense but none of the data backs it up. Countries which have the most generous maternity/paternity leave such as Norway have among the lowest birth rates in the world. Countries like Japan and Denmark that have heavily subsidized child care and give substantial economic incentives for parenthood have extremely low birth rates. If anything there seems to be an inverse relationship. Most of the studies that look into this find that lower birth rates are tied to increasing wo…

And? You still have a surplus of people in other places Yes that's why I said it was a short term solution, because fertility rates are declining globally. The only places that have above replacement level fertility rates are some nations in Africa, and they are rapidly declining there too. Plus those African immigrants overwhelming go to Europe vs the New World due to proximity and history. The United States has had a net negative immigration from Mexico for most of the last decade. This is outdated. China has had below replacement level birth rates for decades, and it has gotten to the point that they are offering generous financial benefits for having children-it's had little to no effect. India has a fertility rate of 2.15 which is almost exactly replacement level. Other large countries like Indonesia have replacement level fertility. Essentially the only countries that have above replacement level fertility are in Africa and they are steadily declining there as well.

It's a short-term solution that isn't sustainable. Even developing nations have experienced rapidly declining fertility rates in recent years. For example, the current fertility rate for Latin America And The Caribbean in 2023 is 1.958 births per woman. This is below replacement level and is steadily declining. Loneliness in general is rising in both men and women as you've pointed out. If you look into the data, almost every social activity has been declining over the past few decades and completely fell off a cliff during and post-covid. This includes church, sports league, clubs, volunteering, heck even movie going-basically anything that requires you to interact with people IRL. I find it really worrisome and I don't think it bodes well for the future.

How many OnlyFans workers have you met in real life? I live in a big city and I've never met one. People in this sub act like there's a ton of OnlyFans workers when in reality probably less than 1% of 1% of women do OF.

You're still young though. At 20 it's still pretty common to be skinny. Trust me, by 30 yo being skinny is rare and is absolutely highly valued by the vast majority of men (and women too).
