Yup, that's how I use it. Should really use the term OLD instead.

2:3 is perfect! I am aware of resolution limits and stuff. 🙂 But they have cool premium products in 4x6 inches. I have already ordered a few variations of Rat Race. Can't wait to have it in my hands and show you.

I'll have it printed in high quality. (I have already checked options). 😃 And I will of course send you a pic of its rightful place in my "memorabilia"- shelf. 🤝

😳 I love it, man. I am honestly lost for words. The original picture was top of the world. V2 is otherworldly. It tells a real story. My spirit animal, the sewer rat, in its natural habitat. I just can't stop looking at all the details. The reflections on the sunglasses. The rat-skull'n'crossbones... I swear, if you put this in with 50 other pictures and gave it to my friends, they all would say "This one. This is Guitars" as soon as they saw this picture. (Even with the dedication erased). This…

Oh, it's deep. 🙂 The picture represents me on many levels and some of them are "wouldn't feel comfortable talking about it"- deep. And I honestly can't imagine anything a V2 could do better than the original already does. 🙂

Like it?! I love it, bro! It's perfect! I am literally in tears. You beautiful beautiful artist! Thank you, SO much! I wanted to commission it out years ago but I didn't find an artist on Fiverr that gave me the impression that they could capture the mood that I wanted. And now you drew it as a gift for me and it's better than I could have imagined. I am truly blessed. I need to find a better frame and need to re-arranged my prized possessions but it's already looking good.

Do you have a request? t was kind of a last night thing but I’m sure I’ll have time today and you’re cool Omg, yes! 😃 You wouldn't believe how happy it would make me. 🙂 A ragged but cute sewer rat who is holding a milkshake in both hands. It's blissfully happy because of the milkshakes. Not "triumphantly happy" but "I could and maybe will hug the whole world because I am so happy"- happy. (The rat completely forgets the depressing sewers and rightfully so).

Man, that's awesome. I can imagine that it's a lot of fun, but knowing that it's also really challenging, I wonder how you pull through without a practical use for the world. But I am just learning to enjoy doing things for the heck of it. I wish I had learned to just enjoy doing stuff sooner.

Man, I love your style of drawing. I'd happily trade in my guitar skills to be able to draw like that. My first girlfriend drew chibis that conveyed lots of emotion and your drawings do, too.

I become less wonderful and I can understand the temptation to claim... you were bad all along and now this is the true you unearthed. But that is a very uncharitable interpretation. Very important point. I am wondering if it isn't only uncharitable...it could even be a fallacy.

Good points. I wish I could say something more constructive but ultimately I don't care about the exact reasons behind it. It's like retroactive jealousy or an aversion to high n-counts. It's something that bothers you and you don't even know why. You can then try to find out why exactly it bothers you, but in my experience, it doesn't change anything. Trying to get to the root of it is commendable, but I have, for myself, decided just to accept that it is like it is.

If it was close friends, I wouldn’t want to risk hurting them. I completely agree with you. You don't date the ex of close friends. Friends you care about. Bro- code doesn't allow it! But casual friends? A guy you don't really like that much? Nope. Some bro- code rules apply to buddies, but certainly not this one. I wouldn't even discuss or debate it. He is not a close friend you care about, end of story.

Yes, it happens. Orbiter/friendzone dynamics can be really really problematic for everyone involved. It can wreak havoc on social circles in a worst case scenario. We talk about it a lot for a reason. And I understand that it's often difficult for women to handle such a situation. You decide to distance yourself from him (your "friend") and suddenly you look like a disloyal bitch to some people. You don't want to hurt his feelings by being blunt and suddenly you look like a manipulative bitch to…

Drawing/painting comes to mind because one of my gfs was really good at it and I really think I found her even more attractive because of her drawings and paintings. Playing an instrument and singing can be attractive, too. Depending on how she expresses herself through the music. It somehow amplifies both character qualities and non-qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/22 06:40 PM

It’s interesting how many men here claim women care more about looks then men Do they say that? I thought the consensus is just that women rate men's looks harsher than men rate women's. That doesn't necessarily mean they "care" more about looks. Women care about a lot of stuff when judging a man.

It just feels wrong... And that never goes away! 🙂😃 (If you're the kind of guy who just really doesn't like it) If you don't have sex while shotgunning, it doesn't feel as wrong. And know that they often do the same. Like the girls would feel hurt if they knew. You can let them know. Especially in your 30s most women kind of expect you to do it. I really don't like it but there's no reason to shoot yourself in the foot when most women are okay with it and see it as a welcome challenge.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 04:57 PM
7

Yup. But remember that people don't necessarily think that they have to make up for a lack of looks by being nice/enthusiastic/whatever. "Dating down" in looks doesn't automatically give you an enthusiastic partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 04:19 PM

Taking things for granted is the relationship- killer. And there's not always bad intentions behind it. Some things we just don't see. I have been guilty of taking things for granted, too, and I could slap my past self silly for it. 😃
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 03:11 PM

You have to have done both, serial and parallel dating, to understand how much of an advantage parallel dating is. It affects you on many different levels. I hate it but the shotgun approach so much more effective than the sniper approach that I couldn't in good conscience tell guys not to do it.

Of course women are allowed to do all of that. And men are allowed to reject women for any reason.

What I hear is I’m only interested in sex with women as fast and as cheap as possible. Oh, I have no doubt that that's the real problem in many or maybe even most cases. But there are men who love courtship. I actually prefer taking it slow. What I don't like is when she expects courtship from me and takes it for granted while she didn't expect it from men the past. It didn't happen a lot tbh. But it did happen.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 01:01 AM

It is counter- productive. It boggles my mind that so many women don't even try to understand men and see that it might not be a good idea to talk about their sexual history.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/22 12:25 AM

They seem to be terribly afraid of looking like a "boring good girl". That's one of the reasons they often tell their bfs about their less than flattering sexual history.

What if every woman say around and thought I wonder if he treated his last girl to steak house dinners but he only takes me to chili’s. I wouldn't blame her. Especially not when I am giving her the impression or tell her that I am a guy who has just decided that chili is enough for a woman.

Sounds like the gym is too strenous for you. It should be a safe- space and it clearly isn't. I think you would do better with just doing a barbell workout at home to stay in shape. Overhead press, barbell rows and squats (squats with low weight because you don't have a cage). Enough to work your whole body. It's not ideal, but it's enough to stay in shape, even be athletic, and you don't need machines, a bench or equipment.

I wouldn't have a problem with any of the stuff you listed. But the fact that they were romantically involved changes things. Not because I'd trust her less but because I don't want to meet or know anything about guys who have had sex with her in the past. Retroactive jealousy. So in short: If they didn't have sex in the past, I wouldn't have a problem with anything on the list. If they did have sex in the past, I wouldn't marry her in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/22 09:28 PM

Never! I never had friendships with girls or women I was crushing on. They were attractive but not my type.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/22 02:58 PM

Do you have any positive platonic female friendships? Always had. Does it affect how you view women? Not really. They confirm red pill views. What do you learn from your female friends? Enjoying life. What do you like about those friendships vs male friendships? The energy is different. Can't explain it. Both male and female friends are awesome, but different. Plus: It's nice being around attractive women even when you are platonic friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/22 12:41 PM

No. But it's settling if a woman thinks her partner is a 5 when he's actually a 6.5. And that happens a lot. Perceived SMV/RMV is more important than actual SMV/RMV.

I had the revenge fantasy of seeing women struggle and ending up alone, yes. And then in my 30s, the revenge fantasy finally came true. 🥳 But it turned out that I couldn't really enjoy seeing them suffer except in some cases. Schadenfreude is not really my thing. 😔
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 01:38 PM

The term is only used because Jordan Peterson often brings it up. It's one of the traits in the big 5 personality test. So it's a technical term. There's no other reason that men use the term agreeable instead of nice or considerate.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/22 12:05 AM

wow
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/22 11:59 PM

Guilty as charged. 😅 (Though not to that extend. Would never say or think "disgusting").
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 10:58 PM

But how would squads hurt? Whatever she is doing now to maintain a flat stomach will be easier when she does heavy squats because the squads burn calories. Yeah, I get that low bf means she will not have a big bubble butt, but definitely a nicer butt than she has without squads. So in my opinion, squads would have two main advantages: 1. Burn calories and make dieting easier 2. Nice butt despite low bf
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 10:17 PM

Maintaining a flat stomach is much easier when you do heavy squats. Two birds with one stone. But as long as you're not overweight, your ass will be fine no matter the size. Don't worry about it. 🙂
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 09:24 PM

In terms of dating only? Or are you asking what we would do with our lives if we didn't have to worry about dating? (I find both questions interesting btw).

If I said I never did, I would be lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 12:11 AM

I was only addressing the "escapism"- part of the original post. And I don't think that tradcons are more escapist in their thinking than progressives. Progressives often seem to drift way more into escapism. Just picture a cliché social justice warrior.

Interesting. 🇬🇧 That's why I have Germany in my flair. Take everything I say with a grain of salt!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 11:27 PM

It's considered weird to go up and talk to a woman out of the blue. Yup. Cold approaches seem to be even less accepted here in Germany. But it's not as if cold approaches were super appreciated in the USA, right? In Germany , if you're not educated yourself, you have little chance with university-educated women. True. But isn't it the same overseas? I mean: Dating sucks here. I don't know if it sucks even more or slightly less elsewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 10:34 PM
3

Why not look elsewhere? Where exactly? If you aren't religious and not looking for a religious woman? Where do you find a woman that hasn't dated an asshole? "Why not look elsewhere" sounds great, but where is that elsewhere exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 10:30 PM

I honestly don't know how to answer that question. I have no dating experience in other countries, so I can't really make a goodcomparison. I don't think that dating here is that different. TRP concepts apply here in Germany, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 10:24 PM

Of course they would have. For example the whole beta bux concept relies on women not exclusively dating toxic men.

Is it some sort of escapism, I think it's the opposite. I see many things we associate with a progressive lifestyle as escapism. Dreaming of being married with children doesn't seem more escapist than dreaming of a happy life-long polygamous relationship to me.

No it’s sexist by THE definition. THE definition that came from where? Fell from the tree? Was created by patriarchs? Or, maybe, became THE definition with decades of feminism at universities? Edgy bro! Lol, you think the reason for not caring about feminist ideology must be wanting to be edgy? That's funny. But no, I don't feel edgy for not believing that men are a privileged oppressor class that oppresses women with acts of sexism. I feel very non edgy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 02:45 PM

We don't care about stupid terms like "sexism" and the definitions and feminist framework behind it. We don't strive to be seen as the good ones in the fantasy- world of oppression feminists made up. So yeah, it's sexist by definition, you are right. It is sexist by their definition. Sexist in their framework of their ideology. Feminism defines it as sexist. So? Does that mean we should suddenly collectively lose our minds over it? Because feminism says so? Because feminism says"it's wrong, mkay…

I have in the past. Not because of health but because I was interested in the meditative aspect of it after reading a book. Five days of not eating anything. A bit of diluted apple- juice because the brain needs carbs. Benefits: A feeling of freedom you can't describe. It's unreal. I'd like to but I really can't describe how it feels. A feeling of security. Feeling and knowing that you don't need food. The idea of starving is like a primal fear that you don't notice you had until during fasting,…

I remember when my friends and I were watching "Reign of Fire" with our girlfriends. Our girlfriends were fawning over Matthew McConaughey. (Rightfully so btw). We guys: "Awesome! So you are finally admitting that muscular men are attractive?" Them: "Oh, it doesn't count because he doesn't look like he is working out in the gym. He just just looks fit, like from doing sports and a lot of activities." We: "Guys... we need to hit the gym a lot harder." Matthew McConaughey in Reign of Fire Unfortun…

As for staying attractive, I don't get the mentality of people letting themselves go when in a relationship. I don't get it either. It seems most men on here want to live and be treated remarkably by their partners without having to be remarkable. There is a reason why TRP doesn't say "be healthy and reasonably fit". TRP says"lift heavy". There's a reason why TRP doesn't talk about "having your finances in order" but encourages men to build a high-paying career. We know that you have to be remarkable to have the kind of relationship inexperienced guys wrongly assume was completely normal. You are right that many inexperience…

Self- determination is also a big part of international law. The UN doesn't see wanting to secede as inherently wrong. Animals can’t consent? Like as if they can consent to being eaten! Some vegans do argue that advocating for animal rights and for example adopting stray animals to save them and so on while still eating animals is hypocritial. I think they do have a point there. Doesn't mean you should stop advocating for animal rights when you're not a vegetarian but it is kind of funny when you think about it.

The latter doesn't make him look bad. That's why people make up the former exanation. It's made- up and not true, but it makes him look bad. Mission accomplished.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/22 03:25 AM

That's hard to say right now. We will have to wait and see. If the invasion ends the conflict in the Ukraine that has been going on for 8 years now and cost more than 13.000 lifes by now and ends it without a lot of casualties, then yes, one could say the invasion was justified. riding the coin operated horse outside the mall 😂 I think “stamina” is mostly just men being pressured to train themselves to think about something other than the sexy things they’re doing with a hookup/girlfriend/spouse until the “time is right.” That's why I always say to inexperienced guys who worry about being bad in bad here on PPD hat they shouldn't worry about the performance- aspect of sex and focus on actually having fun with their future girlfriend together. If the guy is thinking only…

That’s why companies will usually release multiple options, seemingly competing with themselves on a flagship product. This is to keep the initial product’s niche appeal while using the alternatives to capture other segments. That means his best bet would be to have two different profiles/accounts? Even if she has sex only with 2 different guys in a whole year by 27 she'll have an n-count of 20 which is apparently too high for men. Not a single longterm relationship from 17-27? Yeah, that's a red flag when you are looking for a relationship-minded woman.

I am asking because what you're doing is a bit like day- dreaming. I did that a lot when I was young and unsuccessful with women. Lots of guys who are not successful with women do. Don't pat yourself on the back for not cheating as long as you are not even in a position to cheat. If you have the chance to cheat one day and you don't, pat yourself on the back. Not before. You seem to be aware of this judging from your reply, so let me just say best of luck for your future endeavours. : )

The "alpha" is the abuser and the women enablers or cheerleaders. I haven't seen this happen a lot. Turns out that when the time finally came, they were so unhappy being alone that I couldn't really enjoy it. Yeah, I wanted them to be unhappy, but they were and are so miserable that I couldn't help but sympathise with them. That was a real bummer. 😥

I suppose if you want a woman to suffer, try and be with somebody who doesn't reslly want you that much... That doesn't work as revenge fantasy. I'll have to agree. His timing was really stupid. I mean, most people have concerns that their partner will slack off after the courtship phase. It's usually a slow process and often not intentional. But doing it right after deciding to be exclusive is like intentionally saying "now that we're together, I don't have to invest as much." I hated it when it happened to me. /r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 09:33 PM

Oh yeah, that's a point that is often overlooked. 👍 It's really dire, man. If it was at least a win-lose situation. But it seems more like a lose-lose situation seeing how unhappy many immigrants are.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 09:28 PM
2

It is though It is not. Rubens, the guy who is famous for painting fat women openly said how disgusted he was by fat women and called them "a waste of flesh". You need to read into the topic. It is not simple. People are attracted to wealth People might be attracted to wealth but that doesn't make a wealthy woman attractive. It might make her an attractive choice. But it doesn't make her an attractive woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 09:05 PM

Exactly! those guys can't have kids which means it is going to cause massive retirement bulges that can't be paid for. And that means you'd need to import another generation of young men to pay for them. It's just not a sustainable model.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 09:01 PM

Most paintings were made with the intent of No, it's not that easy. signaled wealth Signaled wealth =/= attractive. Attractive choice for a marriage to consolidate power, yeah. But not attractive. Read about it outside of feminist interpretation and you will find out that fat was not seen as beautiful in medieval times.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/22 08:55 PM

In medieval times fat women were considered more attractive Not really, no. I know people often say that but when you read into it, it turns out that just because you see a lot of fat women in medieval paintings, it doesn't mean that fat women were seen as attractive.

That's just completely normal non-toxic femininity. EDIT: While women seem to be wrong more often with "I don't really want xy" like "a whole cheeseburger", men are often wrong with "I don't really need xy". So the completely normal non-toxic masculinity equivalent would be saying "You don't need to pack an Umbrella/rain-proof jacket/ a toolbox/xy...for me". The woman brings it anyway and it saves the day.

If that's the case, I'd suggest: You wait for a moment where it's really awkward/noticeable and he stops talking and looks embarrassed. Wait a moment. Then smile at him and kiss him on the cheek. --> happily ever after 🙂 Not only does it do everything you describe above (want him to know I don't care, want him to know that I like him as he is, want him to know he doesn't have to mask with me, don't want …

That's the hilarious thing. When feminists use "you're just insecure" as a shaming tactic, they are enforcing so-called toxic masculinity. The very thing they claim to fight against.

Good points. But it's definitely not a new insult. "You're just insecure" is a shaming tactic that is decades old. It is just now starting to lose some of its traction as more and more men are becoming immune to shaming tactics.

If you want the full story: My friend had an ONS with her. Never heard from her again. When she noticed that she was pregnant from the ONS, she got into a relationship with some other guy. And made it seem as if he was the father. So that guy raised the girl for six years thinking he was the father. They also eventually had a child together so he was raising two kids. Yup. The point I really wanted to make is that it's ridiculous how women call men who want to do a paternity test insecure. (Or variations of insecure). What I wanted to say is that a man who insists on doing a paternity test is actually the opposite. He is confident and strong. Female shaming tactics and entitlement are on full display whenever we talk about this topic. We need to point this out whenever it happens. This mindset is too optimistic and divorced from reality. Sounds like me, yeah. 😂 But man, you know that laws and the whole system will never ever favor men. The only thing we can do is raise awareness and help individual men to not make stupid choices. And that is what we are doing. We can't make marriage better. But we can help men make better choices.

I am sure that mandatory tests would be a good thing for many guys. However, I think men shouldn't be so insecure that they won't even dare to insist on doing a paternity test. We shouldn't incentivise men being pushovers who aren't able to draw healthy boundaries. So, while I think mandatory testing has its pros, we should instead put more emphasis on encouraging men to be self- confident and strong. Testing shouldn't be made mandatory but easy to access. Ah, I see. I don't know how exactly it works in the US. Here in Germany you have ways. One of my friends got message that he was the father of a six year old child out of the blue one day. He has been paying child support ever since. Only worked because the mother decided to name the actual father (my friend) after the paternity test for the other guy turned out negative.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/22 02:42 PM

After all, close family members are the most likely to groom and abuse children. 🤔 I mean, yeah, you could make a case for mandated/regular testing to fight child abuse. I admit, it sounds ridiculous but it is less ridiculous when you think about it.

But that's a low bar. True. But that's the bar you set with the argument above. 😃 I don't know what would make for a fair system. I don't blame you. It's a complex problem. Mandatory paternity tests would be the best solution in my opinion. Would be a good use of tax dollars.

Figures from the days divorce was shunned and motherhood was deemed the natural destiny of women Just googled it and it seems that 20% of the paternity tests in Germany show that the mother misidentified the father. And divorce isn't exactly shunned here.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/22 12:25 PM

True. But still better than letting the poor sap pay alone for no reason. He is completely innocent. Don't know why he should have more responsibility for the child than any other tax payer out there. Making him pay is the same as choosing a random tax payer and making him/her alone pay for the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/22 12:18 PM
29

The problem is that this just shifts the financial obligation to the tax payer To all and divided among the tax payers who aren't the kid's fathers and mothers instead of just one guy who isn't the father. I'm okay with that.

It's not only about actual AF/BB situations. The fact alone that dating feels like less of an up-hill battle than in your 20s and that women seem to respect you more (genuinely or not) can be grounds for growing resentment.

Reading it again, yeah, I sounded like I did and I know what you mean but I don't actually. I wasn't thinking of intricate builds and how to choose perks for synergy effects and maximising damage output. I was thinking about stuff that you have to know to come up with any kind of strategy. For example the cover system in X-Com. Playing you might think you have a great angle for a shot vs a guy who is in half- cover. Perfect line of fire. While I agree with your points, I think it actually was feminism that came up with "life on easy mode" both for describing male privilege and white privilege. "Tutorial mode" was men's hilarious comeback.

I understand that women have safety concerns of course. But yeah, sometimes it's really strange. A female friend wanted to meet with a guy she met on a dating site for coffee. At a Starbucks. By lasting I mean no cheating, no "cuckolding", both partners actually love each other, and they are happy with their lives and relationship. Whenever that happens I am genuinely happy for them. 🙂 That said, I see a lot more relationships were both partners are complacent and comfortable but not really happy and not really in love. I remember when Rocky and Adrian were often mentioned as an example for a red pill choice over at TRP. She is not stunningly beautiful but reasonably good-looking and fiercely loyal. I'm extremely interested in the concept of men being able to cheat on a woman but still love her and their feelings not change. Red Pill would explain it like this: When a woman in a relationship comes across a guy who is far more attractive than her boyfriend, her biological wiring tells her: "Have sex with that man instead of your boyfriend. It seems like women have a looks threshold where if a guy meets that threshold (let’s say a 7) You are describing men here, not women. 😃 Men operate mostly on a threshold. Women less so. This is one of the important parts of hypergamy that isn't talked about enough. If a woman increases her attractiveness she will see diminishing returns for her efforts. I had the same "issue"! I solved it easily. 🙂 Just be more honest about stuff you don't like in general. Say and show that you don't like x and y. People will see that you are not just faking it and your gushes will seem even more valuable than they are now. Thank me later!

The market decides that, all of us get what we deserve. While it is helpful to see the dating world as a market and apply economic concepts in discussions, we should never forget that most of the basic models that describe markets assume perfect information. But if one are not happy and still feel alone when his entire group of friends is going out of their way to make you feel cared for and appreciated then I find it hard to believe he will be happy and not feel alone in a relationship with a woman. How is that hard to believe? If he already has a great social circle, the relationship is just the missing piece of the puzzle. And yes, he will be happy when the puzzle is finished. I was in that situation and my first girlfriend really was like the la…

No, men should absolutely seek validation from women. By putting in the work, improving themselves and then choosing women who like making compliments and saying nice things as friends and/or girlfriends. Women who don't hate the thought of validating men.

Most people will tell men to be upfront and say “Hey I’m honestly looking for something casual” and most men know that will yield horrific results and leave them ghosted with a dry dick. That method is reserved for a whole different level of SMV. It can work just fine. Depends on when you say that. If she already likes you enough she might think: "I just have to show him that I am worth commiting to. He'll change his mind. And you don't need stellar SMV in this case.

We do that all the time in my friend group of guys. It's great but it doesn't help against loneliness or desperation or whatever. Nothing and I mean nothing can substitute validation from the opposite gender.

So yeah, can we all stop being so blinded by the rage of "how hard we have it" that we callously dismiss the very real struggles of those who aren't like us? That's a good question. And the answer is: The problem is not "the rage of how hard we have it". The problem is that the well was poisoned too much. Decades of structural and institutional "Men are the oppressors! We need to tackle women's issues! There can be no sexism against men... by definition! Patriarchy! Hashtag Yes All Men!" have do…

So it seems like: Men are more likely to hit on women who are nice and pleasant to be around. Men are less likely to hit on women who are rude or unfriendly or come across as cold. Now, how can we explain this? Of course! It's "men misinterpreting friendliness and kindness"! There is no other possible explanation.

Well, what about the women who are drug addicts and gay? Let's just say these 1.1 million men are undateable for whatever reason. So how many women are there that are undateable? The undateable women are still "in the game" so to speak. Numberswise, a man exists for everyone of them. But they are undateable so you can add their number to the 1.1 million of men who will go without. And bam, we have a surplus of let's say 2 million men.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 03:43 AM

Not really no. There's just a slightly higher chance that the baby is male. What's really interesting: For some reason, and science doesn't know yet why, even more male babies are born in times of war. It's like nature knows that millions of men die in the trenches and need to be replaced, goes Oprah and says "you get a boy and you get a boy and you get a boy" 😃
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 03:39 AM

Tons of stuff you could factor in. But why would you when it's just 1.1 million men? I mean that's like nothing, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 03:32 AM
1

The most important thing to know is that nature has made it so that 5% more boys than girls are born. Doesn't sound like much but it means that for 5 of 105 men, no woman exists. And that means that for 1 in 21 men, no woman exists. Look at a group of 10 million women. There will be 10.5 million men. So even if everybody paired off, you'd still have 500.000 leftover men. (And that's only looking at 10 million women)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 03:29 AM
10

USA. Age group 15-24: About 21 million women About 22 million men 1.1 million more men than women. PPD: "I can't figure out for the life of me how that could possibly have any effect on dating."

/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/21 02:39 AM

The graph is misleading. There are always about 5% more men in each age group (up until the age groups were men die earlier than women). So if everybody paired off, a man would need not to be in the bottom 5%.

Yup. Men: "She's great, I want to sleep with her, too." Women: "He's great, I want to sleep with him instead of my husband." Men and women are very different in this regard. And even more ironic: Cheating can help with the man's Coolidge- Effect and re-invigorate his and his wife's sex-life. I wish women understood this. I have seen multiple of women in their 30s wonder why the guy doesn't or didn't leave his wife for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/21 12:56 AM

Ah, I see. Must have missed it. So what OP is saying isn’t so far fetched. OP is saying multiple things. I'd say that "they continuously emphasize their perceived "unfairness" of teenagers being considered minors" is far-fetched. I mean "men here whine about missing out in their teens" + "men here want women with a low n- count" = "men here find it unfair that teenagers are considered minors" is reaching a bit.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 11:57 PM

You’re saying the purpose of the scale was to empower low self esteem men to judge others and not always feel like the judged? Yes, exactly. And it did work. I don't get the need to force the whole "1-10" thing. I don't like the 1-10 scale for practical reasons either but the "need" for the scale from PUA's view was completely different. It was meant to get low self-esteem guys out of their "am I good looking enough"- mindset and into an "is she looking good enough"- mindset. Of course it doesn't make much sense to want to know whether you're a 6.5 or low 7 or high 6 or whatever. But the idea was to change frame from "I am being jugded" to "I am the …

Not in the dating relevant age groups. Yes, men die earlier and if you count all age groups, there's a surplus of women. But that doesn't matter if you are under 60 years of age.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/21 07:52 PM

the amount of single men and single women on total is the same That's statistically impossible. At least in the dating relevant age groups. 5% more men than women are born. Age group 15-24 in the US: 21.99 million men 20.83 million women A surplus of men of 1.16 million. That means even if all men suddenly turned Chad and all people were in relationships, there would still be over a million incels. You do have a point with racial differences. Fat on a latina woman for example might look much better than on a European woman. I am not trying to put anybody down. I don't believe that more people are slacking off or anything. There seems to be "something in the water" for lack of a better term.

In the US and Canada, the genders seem roughly equal in terms of obesity. Official stats say that 67% of men here are overweight while only 53% of women are overweight. It's ridiculous. They could tell me the sky is purple and I would rather believe that. I think men with a big frame and/or some muscle underneath can carry a certain amount of fat better than women. Exactly. But in general, due to gender dimorphia, fat and softness probably suit women better than men as a general rule. I strongly…

Some would say that given genders are roughly similar in obesity rates, this balances itself out so there is no impact. That might be true, but I just don't see it. I know far more overweight women than overweight men. And far more overweight men that carry their weight well than women. There's also the argument that even though we are more obese than ever, the most fit are more beautiful and fitter than ever That's certainly true. The obesity crisis hit us later here in Germany and when I look …

Worst thing for me was the start of the second paragraph. "A guy..." So the man who paid 100k for medical bills is refered to as "a guy". Not even as friend or man. Well, still better than "some guy" or "a simp", I guess.

Yeah, I see. I could down several shakes a day easily. 😃 But you could make a shake and instead of drinking it, pour it in a bowl, put some oatmeal in and for example fresh banana cut in slices. It's far better at stopping cravings and does a lot of the things you mention: Natural carbohydrates, nutrients and protein. I loved it and never got tired of it when I was working out. One perk that comes to mind is the bigger pool of potential partners and less competition over them. Let's take a young man who is 20. He will probably look in the age range of 18-20 when he wants to find a girlfriend. (Because he doesn't want to date underage girls and because he's aware that women in general don't date younger guys). A young woman who is 20 will probably be open to date in the age range of, say, 20-25. Taking these numbers, the young woman can choose out of a pool that is twic…

Yes and no. : ) We had mandatory military basic training (about 10 months) here in Germany up until 2011). But you could also choose to do substitute service for example at a hospital. (That's what I did). I agree that boot camp style stuff could be absolutely awesome for young men. Done the right way. It didn't seem to do much for my friends who did basic training. /r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 04:59 PM
2

I think /u/Slipthe was right when they said that men use it tongue-in-cheek. Like an uno reverse card that doesn't really make sense. "Who hurt you" is basically a variation of "man up!". People use "woman up" now sometimes, too, to show how dumb that phrase is. Doesn't mean that the original shaming wasn't intended to be gender-specific and that is has been used exclusively gender specificly for decades before somebody thought it might be funny to play the uno reverse card.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 04:36 PM
7

Is it really far-fetched to think that people use gender-specific shaming tactics? "Lol, who hurt you" is aimed directly at male ego/male pride. "Lol, you must have serious daddy issues" is something that people only use on women. I am not saying that women aren't shamed or anything. I just think it's obvious that people who want to be rude try to make it more effective by taking gender into account.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 04:04 PM
9

I see. First thing that came to my mind as an equivalent was: "lol, you seem to have serious daddy issues". That's something I haven't seen used against men once, but it's pretty common when people want to shame women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/21 03:31 PM

Well, nobody is free of confirmation bias, but I'd say"who hurt you" is mostly aimed at men. I honestly can't remember seeing it thrown at a woman. Other stuff, yes. But this specific phrase, no.

Oh wow, "mood" is probably the word I was looking for when I was thinking about what made him ridiculously attractive. Charismatic alone wouldn't cut it for how I saw him. Presence, yes, that was obvious to me.

Interesting how the business guy actor looks waaaay less interesting in the picture than he does in the movie. And less attractive in my eyes.

I wouldn't call it "morally obligated" but it would be a good decision. And I'd say they shouldn't keep it platonic. Best course of action would probably be to end the friendship.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/21 06:58 PM

I agree with a lot of what you say. The problem is men who think they are nice are just passive doormats with zero self esteem. That's how I was raised to think. Basically, I would have thought that "people pleaser" was a compliment without a negative connotation back then. 😃

In previous generations, age-gap couples were much more common than they are now, ask your grandparents how many 10+ year age gap couples they knew when they were young (it’ll be a lot). Can't confirm. Anecdotally it was the complete opposite. No delayed marriage meant most of the people married young and in the same age group.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:38 PM

Any woman I know who is at minimum a 6/10 has spent over thousands of dollars on their looks, and some even tens of thousands. You know, I love hearing about stuff like this with women in real-life. It's just sad that the well is so poisoned that you can rarely have a relaxed exchange about the difference between the male and female experience online.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:32 PM

I thought it was a typo or something. 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:26 PM

No worries. Poe's law and all. : )
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:20 PM

Do you really think... Of course not. 😃 I was quoting the feminist "losing privilege feels like blablabla""- nonsense ironically in the first place AND I used it to describe women losing their privilege. Not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:12 PM

The gist of what I am trying to say is: There is all kinds of mandatory "sympathy and empathy". The bulk of it falls on privileged men. Exactly the "you are the winner so you HAVE to pay, you HAVE to empathise, you HAVE to take responsibility, you HAVE to educate yourself about their problems..." It explains the reactions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:08 PM

Agree again. There's lots of factors. I still think if we took 500 non-overweight women and 500 non-overweight men and put 45 pounds on each of them, the group of women would go down in looks more than the men. But I concede that I am talking from my personal experience and thinking of people I see in real-life.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 08:02 PM

Yeah, true. I agree. I was thinking of overweight and chubby people when I said "can still look masculine" in that paragraph.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:54 PM

I am not supporting taxes to the 1% in trillion dollars wars and tax forgiveness. So no. That wasn't the gotcha I was looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:44 PM

Yeah, well, I don't really want it. Just want to see how it plays out. And then go back to the current ways with new-found appreciation for the support from privileged men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:43 PM

The sum of women's and men's taxes being returned to the needy I'd love seeing taxes distributed by identity group. Women's taxes go to women's issues. Men's taxes go to men's issues. Minorities' taxes to minorities' issues. That would be great
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:37 PM

I am talking about the reactions to it. Not feasible solutions to problems. These are different topics. : )
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:33 PM

sexual dimorphism makes fat more attractive on woman than it does on men. I think it's the opposite. A fat guy can still have broad shoulders and look manly (for lack of a better word) but most women will lose feminine qualities. A fat guy isn't the equivalent of a fat woman. The equivalent of a morbidly obese woman is a scrawny terminally-ill-skinny-looking guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:29 PM

I don't think it's women's responsiblity to deal with that. And I'd agree. Now we just have to make "it's not men's responsibility to deal with [insert any women's issue here]" the new standard. Cut all funding for gender related stuff. I'd bet dollars to donuts that it would lead to less complaining.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:26 PM

Because "men have it easier" has been the narrative for decades and has only been challenged for some years now. When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. And you get defensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 07:10 PM

Not really acceptable because it wouldn't take much effort on her part to lose at least some pounds.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:43 PM

I am not disagreeing with you. : )
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:40 PM

Yeah, but it's not as if 30+ year old men and women don't often throw "just break up" around.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:39 PM

I am really surprised by all the "just break up" advice from relationship minded people. I get that it's completely normal for plate- spinning red pillers and promiscuous people to just end a relationship and look for the next woman/man. But since when do relationship-minded people "just break up"?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:34 PM

Is it some sort of revenge fantasy? Nope. It's not a revenge fantasy. It's just revenge. 😃
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 06:09 PM

There are things you can comment on mainly on a macro scale. i.e. the important stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 05:59 PM

Been there. In a four year long relationship. I wouldn't blame any guy who vets for orgasm-related stuff.

I see. Sorry, should have read more carefully. Well /u/BelieveInYourFlyness is right when he mentions the buff meme. Guys compliment each other too, like that meme about how getting buff gets men more attention from the bros than from women. Men do compliment and validate each other. In my social circle, we do that a lot. I'd say we do that far more than women do with each other. But it isn't the same as getting compliments from the opposite sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:49 PM

Anyone who didn't? 😃 I haven't even seen the special but everybody is talking about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:33 PM
4

Wow. I believe you, of course, but my experience is very different. I have talked with my female friends about compliments and they wouldn't agree with what you wrote in the first paragraph at all. This is part of why I have always talked about how lonely guys need more and more validating friendships. A lot of the women here say they don't make compliments because they are afraid that their platonic friends would see it as flirting.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:28 PM

Quite an achievement. 👍👍👍

Working in IT in big companies is not necessarily harder or more stressful than working in smaller companies. My brother enjoys work much more now at a big company than he did at smaller companies.

magine a horror movie except the main character actually made all the right and smart choices Wait what?! Shut up and take my money!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 04:02 PM

I read your anecdotes. Sounded familiar and that's why I decided to throw some of mine in. I was a straight A student and everybody told me I was going places. But I understood that I really didn't know shit about fuck and decided to do these odd jobs not so much because of the money but because I understood that I needed real life experience. One of the best decisions I ever made.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:56 PM

Well, imagine a guy wasn't able to orgasm from PIV sex and could only orgasm from 15 minute blowjobs. Would you be more concerned with this if he was just an fwb or if he was your potential future husband?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 03:49 PM

I was always doing odd jobs when I was in school. Here is what happened n only four weeks of working on a construction side. Had to apply a lot of pressure and body weight to cut a steel rod. Like an idiot I didn't take into account that I would fall when it broke. Fell and landed on my throat with my full body weight on a steel leg. Noticed I couldn't breath anymore. Told myself not to panic. Sat down and decided not to even try breathing for a minute. I just sat there like a Zen monk and waite…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 01:43 PM

Dude...
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 01:40 PM

it just requires more work. Exactly. And it can be a game-changer. Who cares about more work over short periods of time? I'd be more concerned with "more work for the rest of my life".
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 01:34 PM

This is more reasonable than it sounds. EDIT: It's basically choosing easy mode for "maintaining a good sex life". Nothing wrong with choosing easy mode in a specific area of life if there is an easy mode. There is enough hard mode content you can't avoid in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 01:32 PM

A good sex life is much more important in a longterm relationship than in casual encounters. A bad sex life can mean the end of the relationship. Knowing that it will be much harder to maintain is a reasonable point of concern. Maybe doesn't matter in the first one or two years of the relationship. But it does make a difference down the road.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/21 01:27 PM

Yeah gotta try not to get attached since she's my first everything Do get attached. FFS it's your first relationship! Attaching is fun there. Enjoy it! You can always detach later.

Thanks for the in-depth answer. I know the female POV regarding this very well. But do I really need to say more than that... I should be able to take you at your unspoken word ...there is a slight structural flaw here?

I think it depends on whether the woman and her friend had "the talk" yet or not. Where they openly discussed and decided to be platonic friends. And he promised that he would never make a move. It would really be a shitty move if he broke that promise. If they didn't have the talk yet, one can't blame him.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 08:44 PM

Is it okay if he knows that she is a horrible person and kind of deserves it?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 08:38 PM

I can only speak for myself but I did see them as women and treated them differently than my male friends. And if they had not seen me as a man, I would have taken that personally. :D But you're right of course. The friendships where they don't see each other as of the opposite sex seem to be more common. And they often start earlier in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 08:28 PM
1

They're both basically the same sex to each other. That's not how I would describe it. Everyone's experience is different of course. But I didn't think of my female friends as honorary male friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/21 08:17 PM
3

I don't know if it's common, but definitely possible. I always had close platonic female friends who were very important to me. It worked because even though they were attractive they were not my type. I had made it a rule long before not to stay friends with women I could crush on. Many attractive women I know wanted to have platonic friendships with men but were afraid that he would suddenly come out and say he was in love with her (or wanted to sleep with her) from the beginning. And had that…

I asked because you might be able to relate with them more on the "not in a relationship"- part. Being a virgin is completely different for men and women while "never had a bf/gf" isn't.

Yes. Yes, sounds completely logical to me. Disclaimer: I don't think women would actually want the kind of simping I did when I was 16. The simping I did at 22 was solid and I kept that level of simping up through all of my relationships. EDIT: It's funny. I never actually had the "she did it with her ex but not with me"- problem in any of my relationships. It still riles me up because the arguments by women here show that women perceive relationship stuff completely differently on a fundamental…

True. But on the other hand, weight gain can sometimes be explained and excused by circumstances. Like extreme job pressure or serious illness. Been there myself. My gfs looked at me way more often than I looked at myself in the mirror. So it was a no-brainer for me. I know that many people find that strange or whatever. I don't understand them.

The correct PPD-style answer is: "It means that he doesn't meet my standards. I don't compromise on my standards so I'll just break up with him and find me another guy who is attractive, socially successful, has a good job, potential to climb up the career ladder, is athletic and funny. AND likes to go down on me. Doesn't have anything to do with his past."

Why don't you get it? There are two scenarios: Scenario A: You don't get xy out of your relationship because your gf doesn't want to do it. GF has never done xy. Scenario B: You don't get xy out of your relationship because your gf doesn't want to do it AND you hate that her ex was more important to her and that he is rofling because you are the sucker that goes without xy while he got it. Scenario B is worse than scenario A. Now, of course, some people might tolerate neither A nor B. But there …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 03:04 AM

I kind of agree. It depends on age and experience. I am glad that I started with classic PUA stuff ages ago and a "sky's the limit"- mindset with no negative energy at all. I really don't think being an angry phase red piller without actual relationship experience and tons of AWALT horror stories would have helped me at that point in my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 02:29 AM

Of course, that is the solution. 😃 But there's always somebody who profits from increasing costs and low wages. And that's why we can't have nice things.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 01:46 AM
2

she used to do it with an ex, but oh you don't need to do that, she's totally happy with the sex she's getting from you! That means: I got a better deal than her ex. She expected him to suffer more for the relationship than me. And that means, I'd probably marry her. Oh, and yeah, think about giving pegging a try. Happily ever after!
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/21 01:01 AM
1

But if you wanted it that badly, why would you accept a woman who didn't do it at all? Because it's not like you can just break up and find another great woman like her who additionally just happens to be into the kink you are looking for around the corner. Like why would it make it better if she didn't do it with an ex? Well, that's obvious.

we have women working now so men have to put in half as much work. Seems like a good distribution. In theory, yes. In practice, no. Housing prices rising and stuff. A family on a single income today can't afford the same life-style as a family on a single income 50 years ago. And this is going to become much worse. And we will see the old forms of hypergamy again.

And I always thought action movies were exaggerating. 😃
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 08:33 PM

Good question. Well, I have seen both. Anecdotally, most of the women who are very hypergamous in terms of physical attraction are ugly lower class women who date within their class. Instead of trying to find a men who makes more money they go for a good-looking guy. There are some seriously mismatched couples. But I have not thought about it much. That's just off the top of my head.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 08:16 PM

I don't know if I would do it. What I do know is that if I decided to sleep with her, I wouldn't complain about it afterwards and I wouldn't try to explain to people who she turned down with a "You? No, not even with a paperbag on" how I am somehow worse off than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/21 03:37 AM

In order to be paid disability insurance, it must be obvious that the disability directly came from working. Insurance companies (both private and state insurance here in Germany) use that a lot to get out of paying. "It's not clear that your bad back is the result of your job. No money for you." I don't know if insurance is better in other countries. Well. The tiler is practically disabled and in constant pain, but since he was smart, he gets insurance money so everything is fine, right? /r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 08:14 PM

The problem with the solution is that it selects for shitty customers. Every customer will be somebody who is willing to break the law. Raising the probability that bad stuff happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/21 08:05 PM
1

The two main reasons: Fear that she was forced into prostitution. Either by poverty or pimps. The romantic mindset of "sex is special". Often just a "paying for sex is wrong"-mindset without without even thinking about it. Chads on the other hand say "it's just sex". You could say that the mindset that makes them fail on the dating market also makes them refuse paying for sex. Money definitely isn't an issue for them.

Yup. Just ask any tiler who had three ruptured discs working for decades with constant pain until he retired as basically a disabled guy. Maybe not really an opposing argument but determining which regulations are needed isn't easy. And for some reasons, prostitutes are often ignored in the discussions. One example are so called "flatrate brothels". Men pay an entrance fee and can have as much sex with different prostitutes as they want. (Or more realistically: can). Politicians banned it because the idea of "all you can fuck" was too egregious, degrading and misogynistic. But prostitutes said that the flatrate was a blessing. The…

Lol, a friend just told me about a week ago that his left leaning girlfriend said "I am not sure if I can be with somebody who votes for [a center-right party]". He doesn't like that she's left-leaning but he doesn't really care. So, yeah, that's one anecdote for your theory that left-leaning people care more about the political views of their partners.

Yes, it's immoral. Doesn't mean it's terrible or that you shouldn't do it.

Voluntarily staying single forever and not having kids because of health issues is a reasonable choice. If you decide to go for it I'd be the last to blame you. : ) Just know that women in their 20s have much more patience with health issues. Women in their 30s will judge you more harshly and more of them will see health issues as a deal breaker.

my current approach... Change that approach and try to find a partner as soon as possible. Dating with health issues in your 20s is a lot easier than dating with health issues in your 30s.

Pushing past your limits is overrated in my experience. Pushing your limits slightly is enough. There's no need to go all in. Diminishing returns. Work with your body type and personality. Not against them. : )

I was exaggerating a bit. I do appreciate all kinds of compliments. : ) To answer your question: For self-confidence. Definitely. No romantic interest needed at all.

Awesome! "Being a man is difficult, we carry something dark in our souls" resonates with me. When I read the book "Pet Sematary" by Stephen King as a young teenager I was fascinated by a dialogue where an old guy says: "The soil of a man's heart is stonier, Lewis". I didn't really understand what he wanted to say, but it resonated deeply with me and does to this day.

That must have hurt. : ( I mean I understand where he is coming from, but still. One of my ex-gfs was the same. She didn't outright say it but she did appreciate compliments from strangers more than mine.

True. But what I wanted to say is that it happens enough even without any compliments involved. Even without getting any compliments from a woman, many men will complain about the friend zone or whatever and turn the woman into the bad guy. Whenever it happens, we can't know whether it was because of this one compliment or just because she was around him. He would have probably acted the exact same without the compliment. That's why I think the effectiveness of a no looks-based compliments appro…

That's understandable. On the other hand, I wonder how dangerous it really is. Considering that a lot of men can hamster "she is talking to me" into "she is into me", I wonder how much damage a single looks-based compliment will do in the grand scheme of things. : )

Haha, that's why I file most of the competency based compliments under "she doesn't want to give me a real compliment. So I got that one." 😃
