Companionship. Support. Affection. Acceptance. Tolerance. Safe home and family.

My main issue is that I just feel undeserving or that I am morally inept for wanting to marry up. I don’t want to be put in the same basket as people who are purely materialistic and inconsiderate. Also I am sure the type of man I am looking for would be flattered if I choose him because I believe he is better or higher than the rest… and most of all compatible for me…creating harmony for both of us.

Well it is not purely transactional. If he offers the thriving assets I will offer the atmosphere… as partners and companions.. Where I live even desirable men eventually settle for the sake of wanting a homemaker, commitment, and children. When divorce happen, wealth and assets are not split between them. So each one of us has their own bank statement.

I am not saying I am just laying back and not offering anything though.. If they choose me then why is it considered exploitative…I may not offer assets but I offer an atmosphere.

Is marrying up exploitative/greedy I am a young lady with invisible disability. I am good looking and resourceful. I expect my partner to bring value. Also, I need a man who is higher than me and has more resources because I am physically unable to hustle and grind. I just want my married life to be easy… not an extra burden on my already overwhelmed body… But I find in my surrounding community the conversation directed at me that marrying up is greediness, gold digging, etc etc… It just pisses …

How do I stop keeping guys around as options? I am a 22 year old female. I have problems with love and attachment due to a trauma history as well as severe mental health issues. I seek therapy. However, I find myself “using” guys in a selfish and unhealthy way. For example, I can see someone is incompatible for me and that we cannot be in a long term relationship (even though that is their clear intention). However, I keep them around in case I do not find anyone better. I keep them around for f…

As an autistic woman who struggles with understanding non verbal cues, males have always been easier to deal with. Females always bullied me (in childhood through adulthood) mostly because I do not communicate like them. Meanwhile, I find dealing with men a bit easier. Not that there are no bad men, but the communication is really straightforward it blows my mind.

Makes sense. But without these blocks… feelings grow like trees

So basically there has to be a higher threshold of sexual attraction that the friend doesn’t meet and another does.

So are they really “friends” as in platonic

Aha
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/24 09:37 PM

But there is a probability sexual attraction might happen any point after emotional intimacy of a friendship has been established

Have seen most dissolve or evolve. Numbered people maintain healthy platonic friendships.

And it is normal to become attached to someone you are consistently intimate with such as friend which can lead to sexual feelings

I need to clarify. Straight men and women

While everyone is free.. i was not suggesting abstaining.. as much as awareness. Cause mature platonic is the exception not the rule.

But these desires remain unconscious. And they get expressed in the unhealthy dynamics I mentioned. Such as friendzoning, FWB murkiness, or predatory friend types waiting for the break up or the vulnerable point to jump in.

One as in sharing a lot of quality time and love? Normal expectations. As in losing autonomy? Unhealthy.

It is normal to bond. Yet people seem to pathologize it nowadays. Make sure you give time to yourself, your life, your hobbies, your friends… And you are good to go. I really benefited from reading The Anxious Heart Guide.

Oh i thought you meant “narcissistic b*tch”

There is no context about anything and everyone makes assumptions while I simply asked a self improvement question. And there are serial womanizers that have a Don Juanism attitude to them and that attitude is toxic and harmful.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:16 PM

Should try doing so.

Why are you attacking me when the intention of the post is self improvement so I am no longer the “NB” you are describing?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:09 PM

There is a lot of context that I am not disclosing. I am asking general questions and making sweeping generalizations trying to seek general answers that I can then tailor to my needs. But you do not know the exact details of every situation and all these accusations are baseless.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:08 PM

Make sense.

Alpha widow in my experience is not misleading. I had a feeling that I could never describe even when I was around him. And this feeling like I will never find someone like him was an objective fact in terms of his experience job status accomplishments etc etc etc.. and the “average” people to me felt like settling.. That is different from the break up pain. It is a deeper doom.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:04 PM

Nice flair.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:02 PM

Is there any sarcasm in this comment?
