| 2 | We had an Admin come to /MR and threaten to delete the entire subreddit. What the hell are they doing to all the people that doxxed Sunil Tripathi? Have they been ninja-banned?Yes, report all doxxing attempts to us. | /r/MensRights | 27/04/13 03:21 AM |
| 12 | We had an Admin come to /MR and threaten to delete the entire subreddit. What the hell are they doing to all the people that doxxed Sunil Tripathi? Have they been ninja-banned?We did ban all links to the predditor tumblr, back when it was public. We even banned all links to the violentacrez article, but that became pointless and counterproductive when the same information was being reported by mainstream media. I'm sorry that enforcement doesn't always work out exactly the way you want it to, but that's not some feminist conspiracy. We always take action when someone reports doxxing or the threat of doxxing. We don't make a judgment call about who is being attacked or… | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 03:24 PM |
| 5 | We had an Admin come to /MR and threaten to delete the entire subreddit. What the hell are they doing to all the people that doxxed Sunil Tripathi? Have they been ninja-banned?Why are you trying so hard to find exceptions that allow you to post personal information? Just don't do it. It's dangerous and it doesn't help your cause. | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 03:14 PM |

Have they been ninja-banned?That's a good example of a newspaper making a dangerous error in judgment and rightly being called out for it. We usually don't ban subreddits over one bad moderator. It only comes down to that if the entire moderator team refuses to follow site rules. | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 03:11 PM |

Have they been ninja-banned?Doxxing certainly happens all over the place, wherever people have disagreements. For us it's like a game of whack-a-mole. We depend on users (and especially moderators) to report it when they see it, so we can remove it and take measures to educate (or ban) users who post it. As for major media events such as last week's, there is a lot for all of us to learn about how to report the news and how to conduct investigations responsibly. Although we're amateurs in these roles, we have a lot to offe… | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 04:06 AM |
| 4 | We had an Admin come to /MR and threaten to delete the entire subreddit. What the hell are they doing to all the people that doxxed Sunil Tripathi? Have they been ninja-banned?We don't usually go down that path. We did start with a private conversation some months ago, and that wasn't enough. I hope that now that I've stirred up a broader discussion and raised the stakes we'll be able to count on your moderators to keep the witch hunts in check instead of cheering them on. | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 03:47 AM |
| 42 | We had an Admin come to /MR and threaten to delete the entire subreddit. What the hell are they doing to all the people that doxxed Sunil Tripathi? Have they been ninja-banned?The circumstances around Sunil Tripathi are certainly unfortunate, and it's definitely worth figuring out how reddit can be more circumspect when it reports breaking news and engages in investigations. There are good things we can offer the world here, but it's not worth it if we can't rein in the harm caused by irresponsible disclosure, baseless claims, and vigilantism. This is a conversation we should all be having. It's so easy and fun to pick up a pitchfork (especially when allegations confi… | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 03:18 AM |
