Well here’s the thing — the women’s equivalent of getting a blowjob is getting the 🐱ate. Not getting flowers. So, no, this doesn’t really work. Flowers aren’t sexual. Flowers are something you can give your wife yes, but you can also give your mother or your coworker, or as an early dating gesture before things become sexual. So I think when a woman asks “what’s the equivalent of flowers for men?” she is asking what little gesture she can do for a man she cares for that is NOT sexual. Maybe it’s…

The real issue isn’t so much if he’s paying or not, but if he’s willing to take turns flying to you. Flying is a hassle, and if he’s always putting this hassle on you, chances are he’s kind of lazy and selfish or just doesn’t care that much to see you. For a man with some money, purchasing a ticket is the easy part. Overall, this is sending up a lot of red flags to me, especially him asking you to move with him right away when you were 19. And the fact you’re questioning if the image he’s projec…

She is successful and accomplished, putting her into wealthier social circles. It’s often stated in RP spaces that men don’t care about career, but this is typically only true for middle class and below men. Wealthy men don’t always care about income, but they definitely care about things like education, culture, and social circles. She is overtly feminine and unapologetically sexy. She doesn’t seem to see being a career woman or middle aged single mother as any hindrance to her sexuality. Her (…

It sounds like you need to just be around his family as little as possible. Grey rock is for people you live with and can’t get away from, if you don’t live with the problem individual(s), low contact seems most appropriate in this case. Set a boundary that you won’t be spending more than a few hours on holidays with them, for example. Emphasize that you aren’t asking him to choose between you and his family — you expect him to still visit them as much as he normally does, you just want to stay …

Mine gives me most of his paycheck every week so I can manage the money, so often I’m “paying” but also… not. I know this financial model wouldn’t work for every couple, but for us it’s best since I’m the more frugal partner.

You make a good point that this is definitely not just about male preferences. However, I’ve always been a bit shy with women due to the fact women tend to be pickier and harder to please in bed, “rizz” matters a lot with women, and I never felt like I had that. While men will always prefer a hotter woman, most are pretty happy to sleep with any decent-looking woman… under a certain age, OR if she’s “new pussy,” even if she’s middle aged. So I’d say my insecurities with men, or really my husband…

What I’m mainly seeing here is that you have already been willing to compromise on having sex more often than you’re really in the mood for, which I do think is often necessary for a happy marriage to some extent. However, he is still unhappy because it isn’t quite as much as he’d like. And the truth is he needs to be willing to compromise to some extent on this too. 4-5 times a week IS a lot for two working people with adult responsibilities regardless of kids, and twice a week is an active sex…

A job you love that pays well is far, far harder to come by than an insecure man. The only reason a man should be suggesting you quit a job is if you seem stressed or like you don’t enjoy it.

Definitely understand your struggle since I’m going through the same thing currently. I was pretty thin when I met my husband, then I gained some weight and he claimed he preferred me that way but I never quite believed him. Then I lost weight (wasn’t really intentional, but due to stress), and he’s not happy about it. Both weights are/were in a healthy range, just a matter of aesthetics. Obviously my husband is the only man I’m trying to attract, so it makes sense to cater to his preference. Ho…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
