Fine. I’ll give you an example. The mere exposure effect as described by psychologist Robert Zajonc. Repeated exposure to a neutral or mildly positive stimulus (including a person) increases liking for it, even without conscious awareness. Simply seeing someone often makes them seem more attractive, trustworthy, and appealing over time. Basically, physical proximity increases the chance of love and marriage. Imagine two similar people. The first one, you see every day. The second one, you see o…

Yet nothing you said was solely the blame of men. That’s exactly the core point. The post claims that only men are responsible for male loneliness. I proved that this is wrong.

Yes but men are reacting to this by blaming women for their problems. Who was it again who was blaming all of their problems on 'muh patriarchy'? Oh right, women… All while not spending the time to create and maintain social networks. Proven by OP and her sources to not be the primary cause of loneliness. Blaming others is high, yet taking personal responsibility for ones choices is low. I clearly wrote in my comment that the social norms about masculinity that might cause problems are upheld by…

And this is why critical thinking is vital when you’re debating complex issues. When you’re searching for an explanation, you’ll find many different theories and most of them will be wrong. Always try to falsify a theory by looking for logical errors and contradictions.

Toxic masculinity is a bullshit leftard propaganda term and doesn’t exist. However, traditional masculinity is encouraged and enforced by men and women. You admitted like three comments ago that women have more and deeper friendships. They also talk about feelings more. Yet your own source admits that women feel even lonelier than men. Clearly, the many deep friendships and emotional conversations didn’t help with the loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 02:29 PM

Which makes the title of your post even more wrong and misandrist. Causes of male loneliness mentioned in the article: Emotional expression: Socialization to suppress emotions. This is enforced by men and women. So not solely men's fault. Socialization patterns: Traditional masculinity discourages from seeking help and support. This is also enforced by men and women. Again, not solely men's fault. Changing social dynamics: Diminishing family structures and increased mobility leads to social isol…

So men have few friends and feel lonely. Women have more friends but feel even more lonely. Conclusion: having lots of friends doesn’t prevent you from feeling lonely. You just disproved your entire argument.

And this isn't just about one example, it's also the constant whining about women who want to fuck serial killers, felons, well known women beaters, etc. It's like it never occurs to these men that those women are either terrible people or dysfunctional and in great need of therapy for whatever mental illness or trauma they have. It’s the female nature to be sexually attracted to dark triad traits, aggression, violence and also masculinity in general. All women have the same female nature. It’s …

Where did you get that 40+ number? Was this changed recently? Even NHS funded research always used the 35+ definition. https://www.hra.nhs.uk/planning-and-improving-research/application-summaries/research-summaries/approaching-childbirth-aged-35-years-and-above/ The recognised definition of advanced maternal age (AMA) is a woman who gives birth aged thirty-five years and over.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) uses the 35+ definition just like many other health authorities. If you include socioeconomic factors and available resources, then late 20s is probably the sweet spot.

Geriatric pregnancy (now called advanced maternal age) is officially defined as 35+ and not 40+. After that age, it’s a gradual increase of risks for the mother and the baby. Just like it’s a gradual decline in fertility. You can get pregnant and deliver a healthy baby within a wide age range but 20s are optimal. This is what I wrote. It’s the biologically perfect time frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/25 09:42 PM
1

The correct age range for having babies is 20 to 30. Female fertility peaks early to mid 20s. That’s when they have the highest per cycle conception rates and the largest reserve of high quality eggs. It’s also the time with the lowest risks of complications and chromosomal abnormalities. Fertility begins to decline around 30 and that accelerates after 35. It’s called "geriatric pregnancy" for a reason. After 40, it gets really bad. Our ancestors usually had children between their late teens and…

There are multiple factors that increase the probability of someone becoming a criminal. But a single parent household itself is definitely a factor. There are studies that control for poverty, education, age, race, population density and many other factors and they did indeed find that simply coming from a single parent household increases the probability of the child becoming a criminal.

From an evolutionary biology perspective, it would make sense for men to prefer virgins since men face paternity uncertainty. There are hundreds of studies looking at males of different animal species and most indeed prefer virgin females. Human males shouldn’t be any different but they have to be a bit more pragmatic about it because there are no reliable physical signs of virginity in human females. Most Americans lose their virginity during their teenage years. Unless you marry your highschoo…

That’s not true. Reddit has a Moderator Code of Conduct that all mods have to follow. Admins can and will remove mods who violate it.

Peak physical attractiveness is somewhere between late teens and early 20s. My personal preference would be, let’s just say, legal teens. Mentally, I’d say at the time when brain performance peaks. Unfortunately, that is far more difficult to determine because the brain has several peaks in terms of its function at different ages. For example, raw processing speed peaks around late teens to early 20s. Short-term memory peaks between mid 20s and mid 30s. Vocabulary improves well into your 50s. Ma…

This 2023 study perfectly encapsulates the core difference between men and women. The researchers examined what happens when someone wins the lottery and suddenly gets a large amount of money. Men: The lottery win strengthened the relationship. Unmarried men were about 30% more likely to marry within five years. For already married men, the divorce risk decreased by up to 40%. Men also wanted to have more children. Women: The only discernible effect was a doubling of the short-term divorce risk…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 01:08 PM

The quality of humans follows a bell curve. Most are ok, some are great and some are terrible. Just by random chance, you should pick more ok men than terrible ones. Therefore, you should have more ok experiences than bad experiences. If you consistently pick terrible men and the majority of your experiences are bad, then you’re the problem.

Early to mid 20s would make sense since female fertility peaks around that time. But 20 was the lowest age you could pick in that data set. In this review of 200k online dating profiles, 18 was the most desirable age. https://www.science.org/doi/pdf/10.1126/sciadv.aap9815 There are also studies that include ages below 18 but I am not allowed to post them. You're wrong. Studies using the Passionate Love Scale (Hatfield & Sprecher) show mostly no consistent sex difference or sometimes men scoring slightly higher. Several studies show that men and women report performing romantic acts at similar rates once in committed relationships. fMRI studies (like Fisher) show men, when viewing a loved one, tend to deactivate brain areas associated with critical judgment faster than women do. Men also fall in love faster and say "I love you" earlier. This is tr…

Intrinsic value makes absolutely no sense. For something to have value, there needs to be a valuer. The object must satisfy a need or want of the valuer. It’s therefore strictly subjective. Intrinsic value implies an objective value independent of any valuer and that cannot exist.

It makes no sense to define it that way. Imagine two people are having PIV sex and take a picture of it. Then they put that photo in a time capsule. 200 years later, you’re born. Later you find the time capsule, open it, find the photo and use it two masturbate. How can their be any contact between you and the couple? Their activity took place long before you even existed. You can’t be involved in anything when you don’t exit.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/25 07:28 PM
2

You didn’t participate in their activity while they were doing it. You were never part of the activity that gave them pleasure.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/25 07:04 PM
2

I would say no because you are not participating in any way. You have no physical or non physical contact with those people. Otherwise, someone hiding in the bushes, watching you and masturbating would also count as having sex with you and that seems illogical.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/25 06:54 PM
2

Any activity between living beings counts as sex if you are involved and at least one participant derives sexual pleasure from it. I’ll give you some examples to make it clear. PIV involves two people and they both feel pleasure. It's sex. An ugly man pays you 20 $ for a handjob. You are involved but only he feels pleasure. Still sex. You visit your gynecologist and he sticks his finger up your coochie. You are involved but neither you nor your doctor feel pleasure. Not sex. You watch porn. You …

Women use slut shaming as a competitor derogation tactic. It's an extremely effective intrasexual competition method to lower the perceived value of another women. It's so damn effective that women will use physical violence to defend their reputation and women rarely use physical violence. Only in extreme situations. So clearly women must agree that certain kinds of sex reduce the value of a woman.

You're right. From now on, we’ll say women age like pumpkins. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 04:53 PM

It’s the same. There was a good post on PPD a few months ago about a study where researchers compared stated and revealed preferences. Looks were always a top priority for both men and women. Doesn’t matter if it’s short term or long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 11:13 PM

Everyone’s treatment is based on their perceived mate value. For women, that’s basically looks and youth. For men, that’s basically looks and status. The 'effort' you describe is mate guarding behavior. Mate guarding means discouraging your current partner from leaving and fighting off rivals who try to poach your current partner. Highly attractive partners require more mate guarding because more rivals will try to poach them.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/25 11:08 PM

The point is that both men and women care a lot about looks. It’s one of their top priorities and there’s no difference between men and women here.

Many studies show that unattractive people tend to overestimate their own looks the most. They often perceive themselves as at least average. Attractive people are usually accurate or even slightly underestimate their own attractiveness. It's not clear if there’s a sex difference in self-perception. Good job! Just keep going. Sounds like you’re making progress. The fat will come off eventually. You have to be patient and persistent. Make sure to train close to failure. You want to experience your rep speed decreasing noticeably towards the end of your set. Also increase weight on the bar, reps or sets over time while keeping good form. And try to sleep enough and avoid stress if you can. A lack of rest and high cortisol can really wreck an otherwise good training.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 05:27 PM

True. Not training close enough to failure and not having proper progressive overload are common mistakes. Although, going all the way to failure isn’t necessary for most people. There have been interesting studies about this in the last years. The stimulus to fatigue ratio is awful and rarely worth it.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 03:26 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 01:01 PM

No. If the world stayed exactly as it is and only my beliefs would change to blue, I would be living under a delusion. The blue worldview is a comforting lie but it’s still a lie. As a little boy, I grew up with blue beliefs and it caused me nothing but misery. There’s nothing I like about the red pill. I hate it. I hate everything about it and I wish it wouldn’t be true. Being redpilled never made me happy but it made me free.

No. Feel free to look at the psychological literature yourself. Your personality is largely stable throughout your life. What you talk about is changes in behavior. This can be done with cognitive behavioral therapy but this doesn’t change your core personality.

Now please look at your previous comments. You also spread a specific narrative about men’s sexuality. You painted it as scary and violent. One could argue that this is a very toxic, misandrist and harmful stereotype. When presented with stats that tell a different story, you immediately became defensive and dismissed them as misleading and not entirely accurate.

Men have alpha and beta traits. Alpha traits make them sexually attractive. Beta traits make them attractive for long term relationships. Every man has a mix of alpha and beta traits. When women want casual sex, they go for a maximum of alpha traits. Beta traits don’t matter at all because they don’t want relationships with the fuck boys. So they often hook up with highly attractive assholes. When women want a relationship, they have to balance alpha and beta traits. Enough beta traits to make h…

The default male sexuality is possessive while the default female sexuality is narcissistic. A woman’s ideal is a man who is wanted by all women but he only wants her. Women want to be "owned" by a high value man. A man’s ideal is a woman who all men want but she only gives herself to him. Men want to "own" a high value woman.

I don’t think mothers are actively doing something that turns children into criminals. My guess is that fathers are better at stopping children from getting off track. Especially boys often don’t see mothers as authority figures.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 06:45 PM
1

Most studies try to control for some other variables but it’s difficult because the topic is very complex. For example, teen motherhood and low education levels also increase criminality. I don’t know if abuse, neglect and mental health is factored in. I’m pretty sure they matter since households with stepparents are also really bad and the often have a higher risk of abuse.

Later, our consciousness rationalizes our behaviors/decisions and writes a fitting story for us. Robert Sapolsky has many lectures about this topic if you’re interested.…

We are social animals and, for thousands of years, lived in small tribes. We depended on each other for survival. Your tribe hating you was a death sentence. Evolution shaped us this way.

That’s a fantastic post. I’d love to see more posts like this on PPD. What I find most fascinating about this is the stark contrast between stated and revealed preferences. It really shows you how ignorant we are of our own inner workings. Just look at how huge the contrast is for smell. Any biologist knows the importance of smell to check for genetic compatibility but the average person seems completely unaware. Maybe Sapolsky was right when he claimed that we have no free will.

It’s a blog post, not a meta analysis. I read it all and I’m not convinced. The whole blog post can be broken down into 3 segments. Part 1: He acknowledges that dark triad men report more sexual partners but lists alternative explanations for why this could happen. This neither proves nor disproves that a dark triad personality is attractive to women. Part 2: He admits that narcissism is undoubtedly attractive to women but claims it’s only a "good" kind of narcissism. Part 3: He lists multiple s…

The study I showed you is one of many that proves the existence of assortative mating based on physical attractiveness. You know assortative mating based on socioeconomic class. Rich people date other rich people. Poor people date other poor people. It’s the same with attractiveness. They took hundreds of couples, let people rate the attractiveness of them and then compared if they both got similar ratings. They did most of the time. This proves that people date within their attractiveness brack…

/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/25 10:03 PM

As far as I know, attractiveness has an objective core (beauty) and a subjective layer on top of it. There are interesting studies with babies. They prefer to look at faces with specific ratios. There’s also a great video from the channel "Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell" about beauty. They talk about a study where people were shown real abstract art and fake art. They could tell which paintings were real and fake. We seem to be born with an innate sense of beauty. Nobody really knows how this works.

Ok, then just define a metric based on measurable characteristics like waist to hip ratio or facial width to length ratio. Give people points based on how close they are to the ideal.

Ask a large number of people of the sex you’re attracted to to rate you. You’ll most likely get a normal distribution of ratings. The mean is your objective looks rating. Your looksmatch would be someone with a similar rating. Since this is impractical in real life, most people determine it by trial and error. They aim high for very attractive people, get rejected and adjust their expectations downward. They do this until they have success. They’ll call this their league instead of the incel ter…

You can read a lot about the relationship between sexual dimorphism and attractiveness. It's very real. An easy example is height. Men prefer short women because shortness is seen as feminine. Women prefer tall men because tallness is seen as masculine. This extends to personality traits. Men like agreeable women but women like disagreeable men. It’s the same with confidence. It’s seen as a masculine trait. We’re not talking about good traits vs bad traits. More like introversion vs extraversion…

Take your example but change the second relationship to 10 fucks per week. (homegirl finally got the Chad of her dreams who she actually finds attractive) You get a sluttiness score of 0.33350 Same total amount of partners but a slightly smaller number. Simply fucking the same partner more often should not result in a lower score. It’s a flawed way to mathematically punish hookups. Trust me, I have a PhD in Whoreology (summa cum louder) and worked many years as a bikini inspector during college.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 11:10 PM
5

In my opinion, the problem is that the number of fucks is in the denominator. Imagine you have two women who had only one partner. They are both in relationships with the same length. Girl 1 fucked her guy 10 times. Girl 2 fucked her guy 100 times. Girl 2 would have a lower sluttiness score. Imo their scores should either be the same or girl 2 should have the higher one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:23 PM
4

Not accurate enough. 1/f isn’t the best way to discern between relationship ns and hookup ns. Sluttiness should be modeled as a root function because the first few ns have a bigger impact. There needs to be a gangbang coefficient.

Women actively and consciously choose dark triad men. I read a study where women were shown dating profiles without pictures. Just a description of the men and their personality. They could accurately determine which men were high in dark triad traits, rated them as more attractive and preferred them - at least for short term relationships. Short term relationships were defined as relationships that would last several weeks/months, like a summer fling.

Vulnerability describes a state of being exposed to the possibility of harm, either physically, emotionally or socially. Emotional vulnerability means expressing feelings or sharing personal experiences, which put you at risk of being hurt or judged. It will give her the ick if it makes you look weak. But if you can express it in a confident way, she’ll like it because it shows that you trust her. Vulnerability in itself is not attractive. Confidence and trust are.

If you were entitled to food, clean water and shelter, then you’d have the right to receive them. You could demand them and someone would have to give them to you. Food, clean water and shelter involve the labour of another person. You’d have to force these people to work for you. That’s called 'forced labour' and it’s a severe violation of human rights.

We know quite well what makes a face attractive. It’s a combination of symmetry, sexual dimorphism, youthfulness and averageness. A higher degree of symmetry makes a face more attractive and people overwhelmingly choose mates with more symmetrical faces. The science here is very clear. The only exception is 100% perfect symmetry because it looks uncanny and not human.

If I look at the discourse around abortion, it sure as hell feels like it. People talk about it like it’s no more serious than going to the dentist to get a cavity filled. And the statistics aren’t any better. Condom use decreased, STI rates are going up, 1 in 4 women will have an abortion and half of those women didn’t use any birth control option.

You're correct. The vast majority of abortions happen in the first trimester and usually early too. The tendency to choose a mate who resembles yourself is called "positive assertive mating". The similarities can be many things like height, BMI, education, socioeconomic class, personality traits but also facial features. Here we present indirect evidence that in a significant proportion of human reproductive couples, the partners show much higher facial resemblances than can be expected by random pair formation […] https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.1177/147470490400200123

There’s more than one reason. Men prefer promiscuous women for short term relationships but not for long term relationships. An evolved fear about paternity uncertainty is one of the reasons for that. Then you have to look at the act of penetrative sex itself. In principle, you have one active partner doing the penetration and one passive partner receiving it. The active partner has agency but the passive partner is more like an object that’s being used. An object gets dirtied when being used an…

95% of reddit admin work is handled through bots. Yeah, I had comments removed where I knew it was just a bot getting triggered by a keyword. But I also learned that the admins do care in certain situations. Years ago, I filed a mod complaint against the head mod of a subreddit because she violated the moderator code of conduct and her sub rules were incompatible with Reddit rules. They removed her as a mod and permanently banned her account from Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 04:59 PM

Subreddit rules do not supersede Reddit rules. Blocking for any reason means any reason. Did the admins give you a green light to handle blocking the way you do?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 04:41 PM
1

This might violate Reddit's rules. Their help site on blocking says that you can block users for any reason. 'Abusing the block function' or 'frivolous blocking' aren’t a thing and I doubt that the mods could enforce that. I remember that someone commented about this in the daily chat not long ago. She asked the admins and they told her that mods are not allowed to force you to unblock someone and that the entire sub could be shut down if the try to enforce that.

It’s a funny quirk that exists because multiplication is commutative. 6 = 2 3 = 3 2 Adding 2 groups of 3 items and adding 3 groups of 2 items gives you the same result. So I f you use division as the inverse operation to split the 6 up into its components again, you get two ways to do it.

Did you „convert“ her, or is she settling for you? Hard to say. Bisexual women often settle down with men. It’s easier when you want to have children and you won’t have to deal with any social stigma. I’d say it’s a red flag. Also, would you marry her? I don’t have any visceral disgust about FF sex like I do with MF sex. So that wouldn’t bother me at all. But promiscuous people are risky partners according to the statistics. Probably wouldn’t marry her.

I’ll give you an example that shows how wrong the feminist logic is. You brought up some statistics that showed STEM students are overwhelmingly male. The logic was: If you assume men and women are equal, you would expect an equal outcome with regards to the amount of male and female STEM students. If there’s not an equal outcome, then that must be proof that the system is unfair and discriminates against the underrepresented group. A rigged system that discriminates against women is a patriarch…

According to the feminist definition, patriarchy is not a neutral term. They specifically call it an unjust system that actively disadvantages women. An Islamic country that doesn’t allow girls to go school? That’s a patriarchy. A western country where more CEOs happen to be men? Not a patriarchy.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 06:37 PM

If 'patriarchy' simply described a system where a disproportionate amount of men happen to be in positions of power, you’d be correct. That’s just a statistical phenomenon and the consequences of biological differences between men and women. But then you have this here. This is what feminists call patriarchy and it’s just plain wrong. Most forms of feminism characterize patriarchy as a present-day unjust social system that subordinates, discriminates, or is oppressive to women. https://www.simpl…

a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it. Women are not excluded from positions of power. They tend to be more agreeable, less competitive, less aggressive, less status seeking, more risk averse, more interested in children and family. That’s why there are less of them in positions of power. They either choose not to go for those positions or lose against the men competing for the same positions.

Q4W: This woman is looking for a husband. She’s traditional, submissive, sweet, friendly, fit and feminine. A virgin too! All she wants is to be a SAHM who’s taking lovingly care of her husband and children. She works with your boyfriend/husband and recently started to spend a lot of time with him. She gives him plenty of compliments and sometimes even small gifts. Are you worried that she’s trying to poach him? Are you worried that he’s going to leave you? What will you do to keep your man? htt…

If you divide sex into its physical and mental components, then having duty sex can still satisfy the physical part. It’s a bit like having casual sex. You selfishly prioritize your own pleasure and basically use another person’s body to masturbate because it feels better.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 03:57 PM

Is that her? Idk, doesn’t look so bad to me. She has some subcutaneous fat on her belly but not that much. Maybe she has some anterior pelvic tilt going on. That would make her belly look like it’s sticking out.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 03:22 PM

Really? To me, it doesn’t look like a distended gut when she turns sideways at the end of the video.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 03:04 PM

'Fat' is usually used to describe someone when they have excessive amounts of body fat that make their body shape look bad. A woman with a big gut would be described as 'fat'. A woman with the same amount of excessive fat mass but storing it in her boobs, ass and thighs and having a flat belly wouldn’t be described as 'fat'. She might be overweight in medical terms but many people wouldn’t describe her as fat.

So then, let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream, and that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time, or any length of time you wanted to have. And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive. And after several nights, of 75 years of total pleas…

Contextual sexual desire is when the circumstances and environment impact the ability to feel sexual desire. Think about what it’s like to drum up desire when your kids are in the next room, you feel stressed out by financial burdens, or you just ate a huge steak dinner. Sex may not be the first thing on your mind. Nagoski notes most people, regardless of gender, fall within a blend of responsive and contextual desire, but for some, desire can feel spontaneous. It’s an insult because the 'full package' doesn’t really exist in reality. Every person has a mix of stereotypical masculine and feminine traits. Masculine traits are sexually attractive to women. They don’t care about the sincerity of apologies. They don’t even care about the apologies in the first place. It’s a strategy to destroy your opponent while looking like you have the moral high ground. Now the conservatives are using this tactic too and the hypocritical cry bullies on the left are upset about that.

Kevin Hart was selected to host the Oscars in 2018. Suddenly some of his 10 year old jokes resurfaced. Leftists called them homophobic and demanded that he should be dropped as the host. He publicly apologized and said that he wouldn’t tell jokes like this anymore today. It was a different time back then. Didn’t matter. They continued to viciously attack him until he stepped down. Leftists are hypocrites.

No, it isn’t different. It’s the same principle. They are judging people today based on things they did or said in the past. They’ve done similar things to comedians who made jokes a decade ago that the regressive leftists now declared offensive. Wanting to forgive and forget only when it benefits your own team is hypocrisy.

All potential parents who are considering aborting their Down syndrome fetus do so for one reason. And it’s always the same reason. I don’t understand why this myth of the awesome happy single life is so widespread. It literally goes against the human nature. You applied her quote to all women, and in doing so you inadvertently pointed out that a woman’s age is also extremely relevant to whether her husband finds her attractive. She was a literal super model, and he couldn’t find her attractive as she aged. Yes, men don’t find their old wives sexually attractive anymore. They stay for other reasons. Sometimes they don’t stay. Nor are there any guarantees that being older will mean men will all ignore you in dating, like you claimed. You want to apply…

It was in response to the absurd comment insinuating that age isn’t a significant factor in every woman’s dating life. If that was true, an old, former super model would have absolutely no problems attracting men. Everyone knows that youth and beauty make up the majority of a woman’s value in the dating market. It’s not a coincidence that women are mainly stressed over specifically these two factors. About the marrying young part, nothing will guarantee you a marriage until death does you part. …

I don’t see any malice here either. It’s mostly likely that women either downplay the importance of looks to not appear shallow or they are really not aware of their importance to them. People in general seem to be rather ignorant about who they are and what they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 11:35 AM

Rare cases like this exist but the average person is neither a master manipulator nor an expert liar. For example, a female friend of mine told me about a guy she met on a dating app and showed me snippets of their conversation. I could clearly see he’s a scumbag and up to no good. I warned her but she didn’t believe me and went out with him anyway. After the date, he tried to rape her. She could only narrowly escape. Most people are not good at hiding who they are.

You are right. People will categorize you based on stereotypes about your looks/style. Adjusting your style to fit your personality is generally a good idea. But I disagree that you need a lot of time to judge someone’s personality. You can get a pretty good approximation within a few minutes of talking to someone. Actually, you don’t even need to talk to them. I read a study where the researchers asked two groups of men to write a short dating bio about themselves. One group was high in Machiav…

That’s exactly the point. Whenever women say it’s fine to have any preference as long as you’re nice about it, that’s a lie. What women really want is men having preferences that serve women. All reasonable preferences that serve men's best interests will be demonized. Edit: Women understand 100% why the n count preference exists and they use it to their own advantage. The only reason you simultaneously call it creepy is because it threatens female sexual autonomy. It’s hypocritical and self-ser…

No need to wonder, the answer is right there in the article. With an ultimate goal of enhancing reproductive success at the expense of others, slut-shaming effectively works to arouse suspicion and cause suitors to question the fidelity of these females. In the long term, men may have doubts regarding the paternity of any offspring produced and since humans strive for reproductive success, (which, for a man is to reproduce and to continually invest in his own children), the decision to mate with…

As to why some women might shame you, it's because your preferences come across as creepy or shallow to them. If you bring up body count women will wonder WHY that's important to you. Take a look at the section 'competitor derogation > slut shaming'. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_intrasexual_competition Women know very well why high n counts are undesirable and use it strategically as a weapon against competitors.

It shows the true nature of feminism. It’s a hate cult. Cassie dared to make a movie that didn’t portray the men’s rights movement in a negative light. She suffered relentless attacks and abuse from the feminists for it. They tried to ruin her career and destroy her life. That’s what they do to apostates.

Cassie Jaye (born May 1, 1986)is an American film director, best known for directing the 2016 documentary film The Red Pill about the men's rights movement. The film had screenings canceled in Australia following petitions, protests, and threats against those holding the screening. At the end of the film, Jaye states that she no longer identifies as a feminist, saying that she now believes that "feminism is not the road to gender equality". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassie_Jaye

I don’t think a therapist can talk you into being attracted to people you don’t find attractive. That’s not how therapy works. What it can do for you is change your own thinking patterns and behaviors. For example, women who were abused in their childhoods tend to pick abusive men as partners. A therapist can help to break this pattern.

A lot of men here think that women generally operate similarly to them and can feel attraction on a spot just by looking at someone very attractive. I think they overestimate the amount of women who actually have this kind of libido tbh. I looked up the percentage of demisexuals and I found numbers around 1% or less. According to the primary and secondary sexual attraction model, that would mean 99% of women operate similarly to men and feel attraction on the spot.

Women aren’t less qualified. Boys get worse grades. That makes it harder for them to get into college. Less men in college means less men graduate college. Here’s an example with actual numbers. 500 girls and 500 boys in high school 450 girls and 400 boys graduate high school 300 girls and 200 boys enroll in college 250 women and 150 men graduate college result: 250/500 women and 150/500 men hold a degree
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/24 02:14 PM

Women earn more degrees because more women enroll in college. More women enroll in college because more women finish high school. The gender gap starts in high school. https://www.ppic.org/blog/college-gender-gap-starts-early-and-extends-across-races/ Why does it happen? Because teachers are biased against boys and give them worse grades despite equal performance. https://scitechdaily.com/wide-and-lasting-consequences-teachers-give-girls-higher-grades-than-boys/

They say in the article that the end goal is equal outcome. The argument is that people start at different points and some need more resources to end up at the same finish line as everyone else. But resources are finite. If you want to give more resources to someone, you need to take them away from someone else. A real world example of discrimination is the 50% female CEO goal. Personality/chemistry matters for average people the most. An average person is initially viewed as neutral - neither attractive nor unattractive. Personality/chemistry can elevate them to 'attractive' or push them down to 'unattractive'. At the extremes, personality/chemistry is way less important. You‘re correct. A scarcity of women leads to increased competition between men. That often results in higher levels of aggression and more male-on-male violence. It’s also known that cohabitation and fatherhood decrease testosterone levels. Testosterone is a molecule that amplifies behavior, including aggressive, violent and criminal behavior. More single, childless men means more crime in general.

For me it means two things. 1) Don’t lie about your promiscuous past. Most women realize that many men find this very undesirable and try to hide their past. That’s deception and wrong. 2) Accept it when men reject you because of your promiscuous past. I see this often. Women get really angry and berate men for not wanting them because of their past. They bully them, call them names, try to publicly shame them or threaten them.

These differences are less apparent when the conformity occurs in private. It’s not a huge difference, though.

The issue lies in the grey area of consent. Aella made a survey about this and called it the rape spectrum. https://aella.substack.com/p/the-rape-spectrum-survey-results People are self-centered and will interpret unclear situations in a way that allows them to get what they want.

Of course it’s a gendered issue. Women are physically weaker than men and can get sex with attractive (enough) men whenever they want. Neither can they violently rape men nor do they need to.

Men always have the option to wear a condom. Condoms have a typical use failure rate around 13%. You know the risks of not being as safe as possible. This is the point that somehow everyone in this thread keeps missing. There is only a risk for men. With the availability of abortion, women have a 0% risk. Women can always opt out of motherhood. Men can’t. Men have less reproductive rights. Men and women have equal moral rights and duties. They should also have equal legal rights and duties.

So … abstinence. Same goes for women. Keep your legs closed if you don’t want to get pregnant.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 06:46 PM

Oh I agree that men should be rigorous about using protection. Just like women. A condom breaking is an accident. At least the effort is made. He should have rights in that instance. Most women in this thread disagree with you. They think that men should have no rights even if they used protection and the pregnancy was an accident.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 06:44 PM

Pre-cum can come into contact with the vagina during foreplay or when putting on the condom. Not a high chance for pregnancy but it’s possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 06:38 PM

That is very stupid and I have no sympathy for them. Men should always use protection and be rigorous about it. Still doesn’t change the fact that we don’t have a 100% safe method for men and no rights when it fails.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 06:33 PM

That’s not the point of the OP. Women have access to a 100% effective birth control method - abortion. In the name of gender equality, men also need a 100% safe option - paper abortions.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 05:32 PM
1

For practical reasons, I agree with. It’s also not like there would be a lobby for paper abortions anyway. They don’t benefit women at all and men certainly don’t want to pay more taxes to support other men’s bastards.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 05:26 PM

Typical use failure rate for condoms is 13%. https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/contraception/index.htm#:~:text=Typical%20use%20failure%20rate%3A%2013%25.&text=Condoms%20can%20only%20be%20used,petroleum%20jelly%20with%20latex%20condoms.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 05:07 PM

You don’t need to ejaculate to cause a pregnancy. Pre-cum contains sperm cells.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 04:49 PM

The failure rate is 1 in 2000. Also not always reversible. The success rate is 55% within the first 10 years and 25% after that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 04:42 PM

Only abstinence is 100% safe. I also heard that keeping your legs closed works surprisingly well for women, too. Give it a try! :)
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 04:39 PM

Men don’t have access to 100% effective methods of birth control besides abstinence. There’s no male equivalent of abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 04:06 PM

Vasectomies only work for men that never want children. They are not 100% effective and not 100% reversible. Problem not solved.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 03:16 PM

If women don’t want to be mothers, why are they having unprotected sex with men and hope they won’t get pregnant?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 02:12 PM

They still have a failure rate of 1 in 2000. You also can’t always reverse a vasectomy. The success rate is 55% within the first 10 years and 25% after that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 01:54 PM

The logic you presented was: if you consent to sex, you also consent to fatherhood/motherhood. Motherhood includes carrying the child to term. Your logic also was that you’re not allowed to retroactively revoke consent. That means, once you’re pregnant, you have to carry the child to term. You consented to that. You have to let the baby use your body. You consented to that. What you want is a privilege. Abortion is a privilege to opt out of motherhood. OP's point is that men want the same privil…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 01:23 PM

That’s the consequence of following your logic. If a man consents to sex, he automatically consents to fatherhood (including paying child support). If a woman consents to sex, she automatically consents to motherhood (including carrying the child to term).
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 12:10 PM

Which would also mean that abortions must be banned.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 12:07 PM

You know what would work well if men didn’t want to be fathers? Not having sex. Even if you’re on the pill or using a condom you could potentially impregnate someone. If you aren’t willing to accept the consequences of your actions then you shouldn’t be doing them. "You know what would work well if women didn’t want to be mothers? Not having sex. /r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 12:04 PM

How you feel about abortions is irrelevant to the question of legality and equality. Under the current system, there is no gender equality and men are disadvantaged. See Hermesmann v. Seyer for an example. A woman can rape an underage boy and still be entitled to collect child support from her victim.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/24 01:26 PM

A woman’s sexual focus is on herself. If she doesn’t feel desired and pretty, nothing is going to happen. Men’s sexual focus is on the woman. Her physical attractiveness is what matters. The rest is an afterthought.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 09:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 09:17 PM

Female sexuality is narcissistic. Women want to be desired by men. Male sexuality is possessive. Men want to own women. Problem is that objects get dirtied when they are used and lose value. Men want to have a high n themselves but women keeping a low n because it benefits men.

You’re talking about pretty privilege. Only pretty women get free things from strangers (hoping to win them over with gifts and favors). Average women don’t get pretty privilege but they still get female privilege. That includes free stuff but only from guys who want to date them. Below average women usually get ignored or treated badly. Sometimes they can get a man who’s nice to them but that’s rare.

The UK's last major study of sexual behaviour - the 2000 National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (Natsal) - found that 15% of men had had "overlapping" relationships in the previous year, but only 9% of women. Dr Catherine Mercer, head of analysis for the Natsal study, says the gender gap may in part be because women are less likely to own up to cheating than men. "We can't directly observe unfaithfulness so we have to rely on what people tell us and we know there are gender differenc…
